Over the years it has proven to be the single most popular piece I have ever written. To this day, I get emails and snail mails from folks who have stumbled across it for the first time, thanking me for writing it. It is a humbling experience for a scribbler such as myself to realize that he has struck a chord in his audience — humbling and gratifying.
Still, I have always meant to rework “Handgun” to correct some of the minor errors and irritating flaws that always occur whenever you whip out a topical opinion piece, as I did this one. For example, one of the things that always bothered me was that I was forced to paraphrase Hopper explaining the facts of life to his marauding gang of ATF/biker/bandido grasshoppers in “A Bug’s Life.” In the re-issue below, I correct that. Indeed, thanks to technological advances in the intervening years, I am now able to give you the YouTube link so you can HEAR Hopper’s presentation of the dialectic of tyranny yourself with just a click of the mouse.

Fantastic Article
I read this piece by the late Mike Vanderboegh several Years ago- it is Just as Valid Today as ever. He also had started writing a Novel, titled “Absolved” about the possible ‘trigger’ and Conduct of a Civil War in America, but it was never Finished.
Most of what He wrote in it were Good Examples of how Patriots could Organize, Equip, and Fight the Tyrants.
To This Day, I find it Difficult to convince most people that “Fighting the government” is Possible, Practical, and Necessary, so I remain, for now, just another “Lone Wolf”. And I’m getting Fed Up with the Face-Diaper-Wearing Sheeple, to the point of No Longer really Caring how Bad it Gets for them, or How Many of them wind up in Slave Camps, or Dead.
Most People who whine about “You can’t Fight the Army” don’t Know, and don’t Want to Think About, the Fact that Every Soldier, Pilot, Officer in the Army has a Home and Family, that will be Unprotected while they are out Fighting the Patriots for their Paycheck, and the satanic, false-jew “zionist occupation government”.
This is what (un)Civil War is about.
