What I am missing here is how this business was “forced” to close. I agree with declining to cater gay weddings but what “forced” their closure? If they felt strongly enough to make a statement they surely could weather a a Twitter storm, right? Actually, it could be a really slick way to cash out of a grueling, low-margin business……

My take, is there is one hell of a lot of people, that are tired of the perverted, mental retarded sickness, being crammed down their throat!

They closed because of the sodomite jihadist.

I am proud to say that my we sent them a few bucks. Enough is enough, either we all hang together or we will certainly hand separately.

Damn, I wish I would have thought about a fundraiser when Bill Clinton put me and approx. 7, 000
Federally Licensed Firearms Dealers out of business in the mid 80’s ! Oh Well, another missed opportunity !

The money is a blessing to them I know, but what I wish we had seen in response to the death threats and threats to burn down their business, is the REAL MEN of the town standing up and telling the business they would come guard their business, their home and their family against thus insanity.

Once that starts happening in these communities that are subjected to these people this crap will stop. Standing up to a bully and if necessary, using force, is the only way to stop them.

Most of the problems don’t come from within the community but from outside sources that need to be run out of town by whatever method is required.

Until we are ready to take this responsibility it will not stop.

If this happens in my town, I will most definitely work to make this happen. Hopefuly you will do the same.

If we are depending on people who go into hiding after 24 hours of controversy for standing on principle, we have a problem. I was gratified to see the response to their “plight”: it demonstrates the depth of reaction, but not the resolve that is needed to turn things around. And that is why we are in the dire straits we are in….we lack a unifier to strengthen that resolve. I am, in no way whatsoever, not questioning any readers of this blog. It’s the collective general public that swings this fight, and our ability to message to them and, if not roll them into the fold, at least spark them to a brief (in the context of time) unison of action to save themselves. So that brings me to the paradox that I struggle with: if so principled, why did they close?

If you and your family’s life were at risk to DIE, it is your responsibility to close up shop. If you don’t close, you risk death. Do you understand that? I do NOT believe your a conservative, otherwise, you would have known the answer as I have given to you here.

Then the tyrants win.

Pardon me for failing to recognize you as the font of all wisdom. Standing up for one’s principles is neither conservative nor liberal. It’s a matter of courage and honor, not political ideology. The tyranny of those using the power of threat of violence and of the state ( often in parallel) to silence dissent censures petty ideological dispute and threatens all who value freedom and fealty to founding principles, regardless of leaning right or left. Where would we be if, in 1775, the muskets were relinquished as demanded, rather than fired?
