Looking forward to a lot fewer gas spills going back to old pour spouts that can’t get stuck open and have a reasonable bend in them.

Forgot to mention that it’ll probably not happen cause all companies bought into this scam think it can be waited out until the next obama

Yeah, the tooling cost to make new molds and otherwise redesign the existing product is substantial enough, they may just wait to see what regulatory environment the next admin brings.

Possibly some other company might decide to get into the gas can market and start underselling the others.

That has already sort of happened “under the radar”. Go on eBay, and search “flexible gas can nozzle kit”. Someone is making and selling kits to retrofit plastic gas cans with old style nozzles and vents. Since they are sold separately from the can itself, it apparently passes muster. I’ve bought a few to replace the terrible safety nozzles on my newer cans, and installed the vents as well.

There are no tooling costs or molds to make. There are MANY vendors selling anti-EPA, brand new nozzles, right now. Have been for years.

FYI through much trial and error I discovered these newer cans work just fine OF you put the can in a certain position while pouring.

I circumvented the EPA’s green weenie bullshit years ago. Do a Internet search for “gas can nozzles”. Or just buy the normal nozzles at:
1. Home Depot.
2. Tractor Supply.
3. Other anti-EPA nozzle vendors too numerous to mention.
