In the county (44,000 population) I grew up in there where 5 (I believe) meat processing businesses. There are so many because they are supported locally. Like Glenn stated, support your local businesses.

Also look at Greg Judy for better grazing.

Sounds like Glenn owes Cliven Bundy an apology. I have never heard him be such an condescending ahole before that interview those years ago. Shortly after Obama drew some red line in the sand over some false flag or another in Syria, Beck raked him over the coals for drawing lines. Then a couple months later Beck draws a line in the sand about pointing firearms at feds when he saw that iconic pic of the patriot on the bridge. He said if you support this to unsubscribe from all his stuff. Okay done, bye. He stood WITH BLM then.

Several things from a small scale beef producer.

  1. the processing places (no matter what size) can’t get employees. Kids undecided about a career path? Butchering is a hard job but in high demand and requires no college.
  2. Government is destroying entire industries. Dairy next, because dairy supports the beef industry. As well as the other multiple products produced from rendering. (pharmaceuticals, paints, lubricants, dozens of others. Our way of life is going down the toilet. Not only won’t we have beef, we won’t have a lot of things.
  3. I’ve seen comments by people who say, I bought a 1/2, I’m good. Yeah, for awhile. What about when that runs out? By that time us small producers are out of business because of price of commodities, increased property taxes, outright confiscation, being shut down, regs, etc. And like they said on this program, the rich will have beef because they will import from Africa or S. America.
