people are getting out because they know something big is about to happen.

We pulled the plug and evacuated 4 years ago. I knew we needed to in 2007~8… but it took a while to actually make it happen. Unfortunately, we have a lot of ‘left behind’ family that we are still trying to convince to join us. In reality, we know that they will join us when the tsunami actually hits, but for them it will be a hasty retreat, and they will effectively be our dependents when we receive them…
