Greetings from the Hospital.

It looks like I will be discharged on Saturday. My gallbladder was removed Thursday morning.

Hernia operation a few years ago. Let me know i was not invincible and could only operate so far into the Galt sphere. Had wondered about you being so silent, thoughts and prayers always.

Ouch. I hope it was done laproscopically, the healing appears to be quicker and less painful. Our office manager had the same procedure done two weeks ago due to gallstones.
Get some rest and heal quickly.

So sorry to hear you are poorly! At least for this issue your prepper background will stand you in good stead when adapting to the altered diet requirements. Get well soon, stay safe and warm!

Not trying to be diet cop- but that whole listening to “doctors” and “nutritionists” has got to stop. I was told all the things I can’t eat- and yet I do better on them and thrive- all the meat, fats, etc. Stop listening to “experts”. I’m primarily a carnivore eater.

This was a genetic condition. I am surprised it didn’t happen sooner.

Nah- I eat anything I want. Mostly carnivore. No issues. If anything, I can no longer tolerate crap food as well…which is a big win.

There may be some good news from this event
We all know God works in mysterious ways. I don’t think my burger days are over.

I was not aware you were having a health issue. I’m glad to hear you are on the other side of it and will be back to full health soon. Godspeed!

Yikes! Had that done to me about 10 years ago…worst pain I have ever experienced hands down- thus I was glad to have it yanked. I mean, there is no way to describe it- and I’ve been hit by a sting ray!!! In hindsight…I think I could have prevented it, but I had let it go too long. Bad diet. Bright side thus far is I have no lingering effects- that I can pinpoint. I hope it goes that way for you. From one who has been there- my “feels” go out. May the Lord give you the recovery I had- if not better!
As a P.S.- I had no stones. Mine simply “quit working”.

Suck it up Buttercup -- getting mine removed was the best surgery I have had of the half dozen or so -- in/out and the pain gone! Wishing everyone a painless 2023.

Normal operations of this type takes twenty minutes. Mine was inflamed and took three hours. Surgery scheduled for Tuesday but no facilities were available. And they knew it was infected on Monday night.

Sick up buttercup? Did I complain about the pain?

Get well my friend, mine burst and required a drain tube out my lower back that had to be flushed with saline every 4 hours, no fun.

Had that earlier this year. Went in expecting laparoscopic removal and woke up with full abdominal surgery. The cursed thing had gone gangrenous and was way swolen.

I feel ya! Mine was inflamed and infected. I went septic. It was touch and go for a few days. I spent 8 days in the hospital and another 6 weeks with a port and self administered antibiotics. Took a while to get over. I’ve always been what is considered tough and strong but that knocked me to my knees and then on my ass! Two years out and i consider myself as normal as i’m going to get!
