If you’re curious …
Where one is born largely determines one’s spiritual orientation. Born in Iraq or Saudi Arabia? Muslim. Israel? Judaism. India? Hindu. America or Europe fifty years ago? Likely Christian. So which religion is the right one? We have been led to believe that Christianity succeeded with the Germanic people and those of Germanic descent by way of the efforts of loving missionaries convincing pagan people to accept Christ. We have been taught that the Crusades were prosecuted in the Middle East, largely in an effort to reclaim Jerusalem from the Muslims.
The truth is that the pre-Christian organic spiritual beliefs of the Germanic people were usurped by means of violence, the threat of violence, greed, and tyranny. The Crusades included Northern Crusades into Germanic lands to force Christianity on the indigenous people. This work is the result of one fundamentalist pastor’s journey of discovery of the Gods of his ancestors, his rejection of the spiritual orientation he was born into and his return to the faith of his Folk. It examines biblical Scripture, textual criticism, the history of the genesis of Christianity and its growth as a world religion at the expense of the ethnic faith of the indigenous European folk.
In this day of depravity, chaos, and the decline of Christianity and the West, it may prove a benefit to some to examine the folkish nature of The Old Ways of our ancient forebears.
Robert Lightner graduated with honors from Piedmont Baptist College and Graduate School. His first paternal American ancestor, Johann Leitner, arrived in America from Leipzig, Germany in 1709.
Unfortunately the term Christianity is used/misused to describe many religions that are far from biblical, scriptural Christianity. The crusades are one of those historical instances where man, not God, took center stage as is the case with many wars.
I would make a long comment and end up in a heated argument but I’m gonna spare the moderator the trouble. That being said, there is so much wrong with this post
I have known him personally for years and believe that he is a classic case of game keeper turned poacher.
Jesus Christ walked the earth as God in the flesh, He died a horrible death on that cross to make things right between God and man. He has made the Spirit of God available to us all to help guide us through this life. He loves us more than we are humanly capable of understanding.
Yes!
I question the TIMING of such DIVISIVE post.
Like Patriots need more division and weakening of their FAITH at this time.
When things get Really crazy we MUST have FAITH to continue when things go wrong.
I suspect division is an active betrayal of Patriots.
Like I alluded to above…
Neo-paganism is just another jewish subversive trick to turn people away from Christ.
Was Constatine a Jew?
In an effort to unify Christianity and Paganism, Constantine began to mingle the rites of the two religions. The Roman pantheon of gods was slowly assimilated into Christianity. Peter became a substitute for Jupiter, the King of the gods and the Roman counterpart of the Grecian Zeus.
All of modern Christianity is and was created by Romans–specifically the Flavian dynasty who sought a religion to better unify the Roman empire… and thus one of the steps used to achieve this goal–the Apostle Paul (a Roman shill) was created and his radical message taking the early church (and that being a small subset of Judaism centered in Judea) to a empire wide Religion based in Rome (no accident in that BTW). Take all the icon-ery, costumes of the Priests and so forth of the Catholic Church (1st state official Religion of the Roman empire) and it is all identical to that of the pagan Roman religion/s.
In short–you’ve all been conned by a con that goes back nearly two thousand years ago. The Christian church as established and spread by the early apostilles bears ABSOLUTELY NO RESEMBLENCE to what modern day Christians believe in present day.
AMEN!!!!
No, seriously, I believe you are correct historically, and have reached a similar conclusion. I still believe in God, but organized religion I have railed against for some time (since I was a teen!). Christianity was instituted as a means to control the masses. As we see today, the ‘elites’ do not subscribe to the same religion (ergo they don’t really believe it to be true), they’re either satanic or jewish (but I repeat myself…) We see the pagan rituals taking place in plain sight nowadays, they worship a different diety, but espouse Christian beliefs in their speeches. Like a good Satanist would!
I don’t see the subject as relevant at all. I’ve sent this before and I’ll say this again to everybody… People tend to relate to their concept of God through the religious traditions that were easily accessible to them during their formative years.
I think at this point very few people have the time and emotional energy with all that’s coming at us right now, to bandy words back and forth about which is the correct interpretation. The Bible says that we are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Luke, chapter 10:25 to 28 is worth looking at. Jesus says absolutely nothing about himself. He makes it absolutely Crystal clear that the way to eternal life is to love our heavenly Father with all of one’s heart, mind, soul and strength and one’s neighbor as oneself. In Luke 17:21. He also said that the kingdom of God is within you. You will never hear that preached from the pulpit. That said, the world has much bigger things to be concerned with, and I recommend that everyone look at geoengineeringwatch.org to see what’s coming our way. Look at the right hand side For weekly updates and look at THE DIMMING documentary top center of the web page. This is going to Trump everyone’s religious beliefs. Focus on loving one another and not being divisive. Serve your heavenly father and the best way that you see and feel led to do so. It doesn’t matter whether you convert other people to your you of thinking. People who are insecure about who they are have a compulsive need to convert other people To do things in the way that they view things. And that viewpoint will likely change and evolve through one’s lifetime has won gains life experiences through the years and also goes through psychological hormonal and chemical changes with the brain chemistry through those years. People who have a compulsive need to change other people’s views to reevaluate their priorities. My suggestion? Love one another’s and mind your own business. And be kind to the people. Play as animals within your sphere of influence, because there are some really bad things coming with our weather around the world that is going to change geopolitical events in ways the most people cannot imagine. It is already happening in fact. Buckle up.
* People, plants, and animals. Sorry for the typo
Wow, I’m surprised at this. Allowing the creeping in and pushing of falsehood and paganism now on this site? To do as the nation’s around you do, that’s why God destroyed them because of their own actions and wicked ways. Here it is again trying to pull people back into it.
I apologize for this post. I was under the apparently false assumption that this site was for patriots … of all stripes. I was unaware that it is a Christian only community. We all have different walks to the divine and we all have different understandings of truth when it comes to the spiritual. That doesn’t mean one or the other is evil. Even among yourselves you cannot agree on doctrine, and yet you’re quick to disparage anyone who doesn’t carry your label.
I posted the information on my book for the curious and openminded who may want to come to understand that people of goodwill can work together even if they have differing understandings of faith. It would appear that many here are too intolerant to allow such. You can all preach endlessly about your faith, but cannot abide anyone else sharing theirs. Sad, really.
Have a look at the very first comment.
What did you hope to achieve by posting the article? You have posted so many articles seemingly to disparaging the Bible and the men who have written it, calling in to question all of it. Hard to understand what you expect. i do not care for much of what has happened in the ‘assemblies,’ you see i do not think they are the True Church. The True Church exist within those who have Truly been blessed with the Holy Spirit within them.
Many “christians” and Jews, Gentiles etc…. reflect poorly upon the True Church, this is why they are told by Him of the Need of True repentance! Not just going through the motions and putting on a false charade.
Also do not think much of the universal term “patriots” There are many i do not agree with and could not follow. His followers are called to set- themselves apart from the world. In it but not of it. This does not mean we would turn our backs to another in need. Yet we should not jump on a cause and follow others blindly.
If your book can not stand up to being questioned ….
Seriously, as militant as so many of you Christians get when exposed to someone who does not accept your faith, it makes me wonder how seriously you take your own doctrine, or whether you truly believe it.
Roth was one of you, until he dared question the veracity of the scriptures and was kicked out without so much as an explanation. He talks about it early on in his book.
I think many of us have probably had the same experience….. That is to say, being shut down or even turned upon by Evangelical fundamentalists simply for asking reasonable questions. Like I said above, look at Luke chapter 10 versus 25 to 28. Jesus mentions nothing about himself. Look at the Lord’s prayer. Jesus mentions nothing about himself. He constantly tried to turn people’s attention to the Father. Not to himself. Look at the verses where he said that we things because he was going into the Father. Look at Luke 17:21, where Jesus said that the kingdom of God is within you. Never, never will you hear an Evangelical preacher touch those verses. Cuz they don’t know what to do with them. Alan Watts was right on many things.
That said, I know Roth personally and knew him both before and after his conversion to neo paganism. I read the original draft of this book. He makes some valid points, and I understand his frustration with being defrocked simply for asking some of his seminary professors about certain verses like those above. They defrocked him, because they couldn’t answer his questions. And rather than having an honest intellectual discussion, They turned on him. However, that is no reason to become bitter and throw the baby out with the bath water, which is exactly what my observation was. There are many wonderful teachings within the Christian church, particularly the teachings of Jesus. His was a very interesting story, if you know anything about Hemis monastery. Many of his teachings have multiple levels of meaning, both on a superficial level and on a deeper metaphysical level. Level. Not all Evangelical Christians understand the deeper levels of meaning of what he taught. And that is fine. But knowing Roth personally for years, I felt that he was a classic case of a gamekeeper turned poacher. After all, he was an Evangelical preacher. And now he’s thrown all of them in the trash. And like I said, there are things coming to this world that most of you have no idea about. Just wait until the air conditioner of the planet breaks down. The mountains of Northern California hit 121° the other day. That’s not counting the heat index. Photosynthesis stops at 104°. It tapers off dramatically in the ’90s. India just stopped exporting rice last year. There are much bigger things coming to our world than squabbles about beliefs that should be personal. Again, the Bible says that we are To work out our own salvation individually, with fear and trembling. I have not any problem with people doing that and pursuing the things that they feel led to pursue. But when someone starts trashing the very foundation out of which they came, not merely disagreeing with it but trashing it which is what I heard him do time and time again, although I respect his intellect, and his research, I take issue with trashing any religion.
I apologize for the typos. Limitations of my phone. Jesus said that all these things ye shall do in greater things than these shall you do because I go unto the father.
“I take issue with trashing any religion.”
how do you think pagans like myself and Roth feel when we’re called all sorts of nastiness, like calling us Satanists and what not (funny because we don’t believe in Satan).
I know him too, from beyond here though not as well as I would like.
MT, I would never criticize your belief systems nor your right to hold them. I think everybody would do well to let go of their self-active mind, their ego, and remember that people everywhere have been persecuted for their beliefs throughout history. This is nothing new to Christianity or paganism. There is Of course a difference between criticizing a religion and criticizing followers of that religion. I would never criticize either one, not even Satanism. And everyone in this group should understand exactly what the first amendment truly means. And I believe that many people in this group identify as Christians, to the teachings of Jesus would apply here, ” judge not that ye be not judged.” That is the law. Spiritual law that is. I would never criticize paganism of any kind, nor would I appreciate them Criticizing and trashing my faith.
And in fact, for the benefit of people reading these exchanges, the Noble Virtues held by those who practice neo paganism Have much in common with general spiritual principles outlined in The sermon on the Mount, The ten commandments, and the book of Proverbs. In fact, I agree with those Noble virtues. And I applaud anybody whose belief system involves holding them as ideals.
Again, I never have criticized paganism nor the people who practice it. And I expect the same in return.
BTW, as for The existence of an entity by the name of Satan, whom so many people conveniently like to blame for their own shortcomings and weaknesses…. With all due respect to people who may have differences of opinion, I’m not particularly convinced that mankind needs the help. :+)
“That is to say, being shut down or even turned upon by Evangelical fundamentalists simply for asking reasonable questions.”
THAT’s what got me kicked out of Sunday school as a wee lad. Had the AUDACITY to question what the nice lady was telling me to believe as True. “Wait, what, split the sea? C’mon now….”
And another wrench to throw into the discussion about what the bible says and what that means… Y’all are talking the King James version? Like, you know there’s a handful of different interpretations of the book, right? Like ask an Ethiopian about their version. Whoops!
Everyone is arguing over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin! If you don’t get the historical reference, look it up! We’ve been here before, human nature hasn’t changed one iota.
YES on Ethiopia… their Bible still contains the Book of Enoch.
Go question the Quran.
Christians did Dresden.
America did firebomb civilians all over Germany. They’re even videos in the documentary, hellstorm, showing us fighter pilots machine gunning civilians trying to flee Dresden as well as machine gunning the animals in the zoos. Those aren’t Christians. Anyone with that little empathy for living things, whether two-legged or four-legged or otherwise, is an absolute psychopath and the closest thing to A true satanist that there could be. Such orders given to those military men should never have been obeyed. I would have disobeyed those orders even if it meant a bullet through my own brain.
Tea my friend did you miss the slaughter of all mentioned about a dozen times in the Old Testament.
Old Testament(OT) is the first division of the Christian biblical canon, which is based primarily upon the 24 books of the Hebrew Bible, or Tanakh, a collection of ancient religious Hebrew and occasionally Aramaic writings by the Israelites.[1] The second division of Christian Bibles is the New Testament, written in Koine Greek.?
Example: 1 Samuel 15: …2This is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘I witnessed what the Amalekites did to the Israelites when they ambushed them on their way up from Egypt. 3Now go and attack the Amalekites and devote to destruction all that belongs to them. Do not spare them, but put to death men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”
I *think* that’s Dresden in my opinion.
It’s Thou shalt not commit MURDER, killing in war is quite biblical.
God is FAR more than a fluffy love ’em all” soul for many salad bar christians choose to believe. He is a devouring flame that visited Sodom and Gomora.
Wars has been done by HIS ORDER.
Back to the start of this thread.
Where is the logic of Roth deciding to ATTACK the FAITH of Folks HE CLAIMS to WANT AS BATTLE ALLIES at this time of Danger (look around folks, it’s getting exciting right now).
Weakening the FAITH of His supposedly wanted Allies?
WOW, somethings down here, what it is isn’t completely clear, look there’s a man with a gun over there, telling me I ought to beware.
That old song is getting REAL RIGHT NOW.
YOU don’t make weaker people you want as Allies.
The Proverb of the Scorpion needing a ride across the river from the frog. Comes to mind,LOOK IT UP.
THAT’S the POINT of Roth’s ONGOING for well over a year Christians are bogus OLD Faith is the way.
Really weird way Roth to gain allies.
Almost like how Islam and the Gay Community do it, pick off weaker members UNTIL you’re the Big Dogs.
I hope that you are never in a position of power over other people.
Have been and sadly because of current events will be again.
I’m not proud of my capability for violence. I’m a combat medic and strongly prefer to help people.
Perhaps I’ve erred in my effort. My point was never to cause anyone to leave their particular faith. It was to get them to see how those of my persuasion came to our understanding and to see that we are not devil worshipping monsters as so many who comment on this site claim to believe. That’s what my book is about. That’s why I wrote it.
As to trashing Christianity, I’ll say once more, what I have presented is historical fact. I’ve not called anyone names or implied they have no business commenting or posting on this site as has been done to me by some here. I’ll say again, if anyone can show me I’ve erred with the contents of the book I’ll gladly admit it.
BOGUS again, have you any shame in your efforts?
Perhaps, my *ss.
Around my campfire we’d tolerate listening to you condemn yourself and give you the 308 version of blood wings.
Historical FACT? Yeh your sources WERE BACK THERE eh?
LEAVE FOLKS FAITH ALONE. There’s trouble enough without a religious scorpion looking for a ride across the creek on a Christians back.
Now go on and complain the weak turn the other cheek Christians can learn again how to make War.
Psalms 144 144 Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
Read the whole thing.
I recall your earlier complaints that Christians weren’t warlike enough, not like the honorable OLD FAITH.
Christians also did “Nagasaki” –which at the time was the epicenter of Christianity in Japan. Of all the people incinerated at Nagasaki–about 35% of them were in fact Christians… and even some Mormons too boot.
Were they christians ( Christ like?) All of them, each and every one? Either side? Or do many come in His Name….
General war is hell.
Your “bible” is the most heavily edited and redacted piece of literature on this planet–being largely constructed by the Nicean Council of Nicea in 325 AD/CE… by Romans BTW, mainly by the Roman Flavian Dynasty. The first book of the “bible’ emerged around 79 AD/CE–and the rest followed up to a few hundred years later. There are different versions of ‘the bible’ among the Christian sects–all varying greatly. There are other writings outside of ‘the bible’ used to verify ‘bible’ stories such as ‘Josephus’ –but this person was a Roman collaborator and personal advisor Flavius Titus (destroyer of Jerusalem) –also he wasn’t around until 79 AD/CE.
General what is the advantage of attacking however subtly OTHER PEOPLES Faith in time of trouble?
I generally look forward to reading your comments.
I REALLY Look forward to you explaining this.
“We all have different walks to the divine and we all have different understandings of truth when it comes to the spiritual. That doesn’t mean one or the other is evil.”
That is interesting. I have personally known him to trash Christianity again and again and again.
I John 2:19
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
Yes, there is a principle of unity. I respect a man’s right to choose his own path, but what I do not respect is a man who criticizes my path. And that’s why Roth has inflamed so many people.
If one considers me pointing out inconsistencies, textual issues, historical nefariousness, contradictions, etc. as trashing, then I stand guilty as charged. Point out where I’m wrong with evidence and/or proof and I will gladly recant. Much of what I have found can be proven with simply reading the Bible rather than accepting what some preacher has told us.
For the record, I believe in a Creator of All. That is self-evident for anyone with a brain. The rest is impossible to prove, so I simply advise Christians to practice what they preach with a little grace and tolerance. If one actually takes the time to investigate the faith of our pre-Christian ancestors, that one would be surprised to find that it compares quite favorably on a moral compass with anything Christianity has on offer.
Sweet, let’s play the questionable facts game about FAITH.
Go play around with the Quran.
Head chopping the Muslim response
Dresden the Christian response.
SNIP I apologize for this post. I was under the apparently false assumption that this site was for patriots … of all stripes.
BOGUS, not everybody on this site has the memory of a goldfish. Not your first Pagans are SO COOL and stomp on Christianity posting.
A man’s faith is his own. Attacking a fellow patriot’s Faith as to gain new adherents to the Neo-Paganism is NO DIFFERENT than Converting patriots to ISLAM.
AbSOULutely. A man may choose his path and may alter the course of his path as he feels led based on his own spiritual evolution throughout his earthly life. I respect that. I do not respect a man who has apparently made it part of his life’s mission to trash the Bible and trash, Christianity and trash the faith of people who follow the teachings of Jesus.
That said, anyone who understands the History of the Roman Catholic Church and how it evolved from the Roman empire, and the various councils and synods etc. Will understand that many core beliefs and doctrines currently embraced by modern-day. Christians were not a part of the followers of The Way, And many principles were literally voted upon as to whether they would be included in Christian teachings as well as voting on various texts to become canonized as part of what we now call the Bible. With that said, I did not have a problem with someone pointing out inconsistencies with the Bible. For goodness sake, if you study the Old testament carefully, you will see that there are three separate, different, and conflicting accounts of the manner of the death of King Saul. This is but one of many inconsistencies. There is a difference between pointing out inconsistencies, and throwing the baby out with the bath water. Wherever people are involved, there will be inconsistencies and there are plenty in my own personal life as well as Roth’s.
I appreciated your contribution. I am wise enough to know that I actually know nothing. I try to learn from and absorb knowledge from a litany of sources . The day we stop doing that and close our minds completely, we become what we proclaim to hate…liberals. They know everything, just ask them.
Maybe reparations in the future eh.
Proverbs 23:7 ” for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
This is one of many examples of spiritual law being taught in the Bible, although many people miss that.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” I believe every word he said. And no one will change my mind.
https://www.desiderata.com/desiderata.html
I am not within the inner circle of the group that manages this website. I’m very much on the periphery. However, my impression after having file this site for years, is that the main purpose of this site is to provide information to those who follow it to better equip them for things that are coming in the future. That will mean different things to different people, of course.
The poem above really says it all, In my humble opinion. Whatever one’s individual viewpoint on religious views is, that is a personal and private thing between them and their Creator. Debating religious beliefs back and forth and denigrating their religious beliefs of others really has no place here. And for those who, like me, have been attacked or persecuted by Evangelical fundamentalist Christians in the past simply for questioning some of the programmed dogma that some of them hold (Not all of them by any means. Please don’t misunderstand me), my advice then would be to forgive those who have treated you unfairly, to bless them, and then to go quietly about your business in whatever path the Lord has led you.
I happened upon a small book years ago, 60 pages As a man thinketh by James Allen, I go back to it every so often.
Thank you, I will look into that.
Mere Christianity is also a fine book to read and ponder.
Written from a warrior that found his Road to Damascus moment.
Have it and have read it, thank you.
Thank you, I ordered the book.
AMEN!!! Well said Tea For One!
Thank you for your kind words, friend.
The most wonderful phrase in the Bible, Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The heathen, needless to say, means your own wrong thoughts, those fears, doubts, self-reproaches, and shortcomings of every kind that come between you and your realization of GOD- this is taken from Be Still by Emmet Fox.
I read Emmet Fox all the time, also Eric Butterworth. Though I do not always agree 100%, they have been immensely helpful to me personally.
In reference to the comments about the weather being changed, by the global Shadow government, here is an example of what I’m talking about for those who are interested in looking it up:
https://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/geoengineering-watch-global-alert-news-august-3-2024-469/
Anything of Nature happening or is it all blamed on man and mans “shadow government?
Any chance that A Creator in His infinite wisdom Created a cycle that takes place? Yet man in his infinite desire to be as god try’s to out match him in every step? C-lie- mate change.
Objective: Fear man, fear mankind, trust and bow down to man, for he is now King and saviour?
we are forewarned of these days. Kinda telling we have two scenarios to follow or believe in, One all about man and his abilities to destroy earth and mankind, (his power)or the cycle and foretelling of these future events laid out thousands of years ago by the Creator of mankind. The Bible and several other sources.)
And i agree here we are bickering amongst ourselves over who can stop this! And those who think that power and salvation comes from the barrel of a gun!
Mathew 10:28
Rather ignorant response… my suggestion is to watch THE DIMMING before you spout off at the mouth about things you do not understand.
