Are you surprised that David Price (D), Virgina Foxx (R), Richard Hudson (R), George Holding (R), Michael McIntyre (D), G. K. Butterfield (D) and Renee Elmers (R) all voted to continue unlimited NSA surveillance on the American people? Do you realize that if our representatives would have voted AYE, the measure would have passed 212 to 210? Harold Coble did not vote. This vote was a very good indicator of who really walks the walk. This vote was unlike say the Health Care Act or Cap and Trade. This vote will never be brought up in re-election campaigns. In fact, Bachman isn’t even running and voted against it. If those who say they truly want conservatives or, in their mind, Tea Party candidates, they only need look at this vote. Those who voted for this, just as those who voted for the NDAA are traitors to freedom. I refuse to mince words and make nice. These people who get before TV cameras and get on talk shows and claim they are looking out for your and my liberties are liars and would be hanged if this country did have a revolution. They are the reason we have been losing liberties we were guaranteed by our constitution. We can scream all day about those traitorous progressive liberal bastards. But there have always been enough votes by people who have claimed to be our friends and have gotten elected on those lies. We need a new country!!!
Following is an email I sent to Rep. Foxx this morning:
The definition of treason is to a) make war on one’s own country, or b) betray the trust of one’s own country. You swore an oath before God and your fellow citizens to protect and defend the Constitution, a Constitution that contains a Bill of Rights.
With your vote on the above captioned measure, you have betrayed your oath, your country, and We the People. You may feel that you are in some way keeping us safe by allowing the NSA to continue their illegal tracking of everything we do. All you’re really doing is assisting in making America a police state.
Know this, I no longer give my consent to be represented by you. You have failed in your most solemn responsibility -- to protect and defend the Constitution.
