Hundred of people rallied at the state Capitol grounds in Raleigh Saturday afternoon to protest the continuing violence in Gaza.
A statement from rally organizers says there is an emerging call for an end to the violence and for human rights and justice that will lead to safety and security for all Palestinians and Israelis.

An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently in the United Nations Assembly and made the world community smile.
A representative from Israel began: “Before beginning my talk I want to tell you something about Moses: When he struck the rock and it brought forth water, he thought, ‘What a good opportunity to have a bath!’ Moses removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the water. When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A Palestinian had stolen them!” The Palestinian representative at the UN jumped up furiously and shouted, “What are you talking about? The Palestinians weren’t there then.” The Israeli representative smiled and said, “And now that you have made that clear, I will begin my speech.”
That is hilarious!
There isn’t going to be peace between Israel and the Palestinians. I don’t think it’s possible with the belief system the Palestinians have. They will continue to shoot rockets at Israel until Israel destroys their capability or until too many of the Palestinians are killed to shoot anymore. People get outraged at the death toll of the Palestinians but it’s their own fault. They use their people as human shields so that people will get outraged at the deaths. Israel would have a huge number of deaths if they weren’t so good at shooting those rockets down.
