I Am Ashamed of North Carolina: Battle Lines Drawn as 44 States Pick Sides in Texas-Led Supreme Court Election Showdown

There was a flurry of activity on the US Supreme Court docket 22O155 on Thursday, as Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin responded to the Texas complaint, Ohio filed a puzzling brief ostensibly backing neither side, a number of lawmakers also sought to join the case, all before the Democrat-led jurisdictions filed their own amici curiae brief.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has asked the court to block the seating of electors from the four swing states, arguing that they usurped the authority the Constitution gives legislators to change the election rules and make them vulnerable to fraud. President Donald Trump, who seeks to join the Texas lawsuit himself, has complained the states improperly declared Democrat Joe Biden the winner.

While the four states submitted their responses by the court-mandated deadline of 3pm on Thursday, Democrat-led jurisdictions mobilized legal troops for their defense. District of Columbia Attorney General Karl Racine led California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Washington – and the territories of US Virgin Islands and Guam – in the amicus brief seeking the dismissal of the Texas case.

The Democrat amici argued that “state courts and local actors” should be able to “interpret and implement state election law” as the states need “sovereign ability to safely and securely accommodate voters in light of emergencies such as [Covid]-19.”

Apparently the Idaho AG did something extra constitutionally before the election and is doing a CYA . The legislature is apparently moving on its own.

Governor Roy Cooper and AG Josh Stein have apparently cheated themselves into office. Trump won North Carolina so our Governor and AG have pissed on the wishes of the majority of NC voters. I along with you am ashamed of these usurpers.

The ID AG is a spineless weasel that used some BS statement about protecting Idaho’s sovereignty. So much for contacting him to join on. Governor Brad “Chicken” Little is no better. At least the Lt Gov, numerous GOP legislators, and our US Congressmen signed on to the Texas lawsuit.

Lots of folks in my AO are pissed about the blatant in your face election fraud of 2020.

There is absolutely NO WAY Roy Cooper and Josh Stein won their respective elections without immense fraud. I also believe that, even though Trump carried NC, I believe he would have carried it by a massively higher margin without the election fraud that happened here just like everywhere else. It is time to FORCE an investigation of Cooper, Stein, and the other traitors that somehow slid into office. Also, how IN THE HELL did we end up with Richard Burr and Thom Tillis? Is there not anyone better than these two rinos that could represent our state?

I am ashamed as well by our state. We have great people, and could do so much better.

We are going to continue to have this issue in NC until we get rid of some of our numerous universities.

Cooper got 2.8 million votes in NC. Either, there was massive fraud or a lot of dumb f**ks in NC. Either way the good people of NC are screwed because our legislature is complicit with the tyrant in Raleigh.

This will be a “case of first impression” and it needs to be decided correctly. Trump is not out of ammo … not by a long shot. The Texas suit WAS a “long shot” because it needed to be demonstrated that the State of Texas or the citizens therein were materially damaged by the actions of the defendant states, MI, WI, PA and GA. In fact, no voters in Texas were injured or defrauded. There is still palpable treason and we don’t need “permission” from SCOTUS or anyone else to allege treason, arrest suspected treasonous actors, and put them on trial. The tree of Liberty needs to be watered with the blood of tyrants. The Texas suit would not have provided that, nor would bad actors have been identified. So we’re given the bad guys another opportunity to repent and they demurred. On to the next phase.
