Target Changes Restroom Policy After Receiving Boycott Threats
Target has announced that after listening to their customer base and carefully reviewing the newly announced chain-wide policy regarding transgender customers using the bathroom that matches their gender identity, they have decided to temporarily reverse the policy until they can find a new solution that ensures all of their guests are comfortable while using the restroom.
The recent controversy surrounding Target was set in motion on Tuesday April 19th when they released the following statement confirming a new policy about customers and bathrooms:
“Recent debate around proposed laws in several states has reignited a national conversation around inclusivity. So earlier this week, we reiterated with our team members where Target stands and how our beliefs are brought to life in how we serve our guests.
Inclusivity is a core belief at Target. It’s something we celebrate. We stand for equality and equity, and strive to make our guests and team members feel accepted, respected and welcomed in our stores and workplaces every day.
Target experienced a weekend of empty stores.
Target keep pushing the limits. I hope they figure out who holds the purse strings before all those associate lose their jobs. The door could close faster than you think.
its high time to begin the boycott of the NBA,NFL and any sports team who supports filth. as for ESPN they should be boycotted to the fullest and the viewers need to shut off there filthy vile sports channel, do not listen to them at all. boycott every large corporation and force them to stop or force them to go out of business. we must not spend our dollars at these stores nor purchase there products. Stop purchasing Coca cola and Pepsi and all there products they are very large supporters of this filth.
You’ve been duped. Target has made no announcement changing their policy due to a boycott, unfortunately. It was a hoax. Please continue the boycott.
They can reverse it all they want. I will not shop there again.
@ Philip, I have not watched the NBA, NFL or MLB in over a decade. ESPN in the last 5 years. I try to shop at Christian stores where and when I can. My only fear is that the coffee and tea makers turn homo lovers.
