Here in York County (opsec?) roads not managed by SC or .FED (I77, I85) are county managed roads. Signs all over York County “Pennies for Progress” regarding county sales tax earmarked for roads. That said, there many roads in middle and lower class that desperately need some dim pennies

^ Yeah, which Russia and Iran have been using for target practice. I haven’t noticed quite this level of infrastructure neglect in my AO, but will say the effort at repairing massive chuck holes in roads all over town has been piss poor since winter ended here in early March. MODOT has been doing some big bridge projects, but local street departments have been slacking on basic upkeep pretty badly.

It’s shameful these bridges and roads aren’t inspected annually. One good bridge inspector can find problem areas for hundreds of bridges each year. There is of course the next step, fixing them. Have you seen the cost of concrete and asphalt lately. Even so, there is absolutely no excuse when BILLIONS went to Ukraine and that BS raid on Iran.
