It’s official — unbelievable as it is — Iraqi state TV moments ago announced the death of Iran’s most senior elite military commander, IRGC Quds Force chief Qasem Suleimani:
BREAKING: #IRAQ OFFICIAL TV ANNOUNCES #IRAN IRGC LEADER QASSEM SULEIMANI IS ASSASSINATED.
ALSO KILLED HEAD OF KATAIB HEZBOLLAH ABU MEHDI MUHANDIS https://t.co/K0cJn9rMIc— Joyce Karam (@Joyce_Karam) January 3, 2020
This is the spark that could set the whole region on fire, given Suleimani is Iran’s most important, visible and powerful military leader.

Patriots -- -- Please do not swallow the propaganda.
This was not an assassination !! It was a strike on a military unit.
Assassinations are the killing of non-military persons who are in political control.
And yes, some civilians can be in control over the military, such as President Kennedy.
NOT AN ASSASSINATION !! The target was military. He was in a military convoy even if it was not marked as such.
Think about World War Two in the Pacific when the US learned that Admiral Yamamoto was flying to an island and sent fighter planes to intercept and shoot down his military transport aircraft. That was not an assassination….it was attacking a legitimate military target.
NOT AN ASSASSINATION !! Do not swallow the propaganda….
From Miririam Webster
Assassinate: to murder (a usually prominent person) by sudden or secret attack often for political reasons

As for me, I personally don’t care what term you use concerning a US attack on foreign soil which resulted in the death of an Iranian military leader. I want to remind everyone that we are not at war with Iran (this may change quickly) so I don’t know the proper terminology for such a case. Maybe we should ask Hillary Clinton how she classified the death of Muammar al-Gaddafi.
yay!!!!
