I have to wonder why Iran is releasing this information at this time.
When nuclear testing went underground, we developed a way to shape charge the detonation. A bunker buster wouldn’t need to breech 500 meters, if it has a kiloton shape charge. Radioactive leakage would also be kept to a minimum. Bad move on Iran’s part releasing this information.
Agreed that this should never have been disclosed. Also, with the new generation of subsurface drones, I doubt this facility is nearly as secure as I would wish it to be.
I have read that the compression waves from an appropriately-designed bunker buster nuke would utterly destroy humans and delicate equipment.
Sure would not want that knocking on my roof……
Just imagine what would have happened if the Eisenhower administration and the CIA has simply left them alone in 1953 instead of staging a coup and installing the Shah as their puppet government.

Ma Deuce is a relatively close range weapon (at 1 mile, you have a rainbow trajectory) compared to ship to ship missiles. Plus it looks like they have swarm quantities. They also have non defensible, hypersonic carrier killers. We shouldn’t be all over the world imperializing the shit out of people. We need a Defence Force to protect America from all enemies, foreign and domestic, on our borders.

Another thought. Trump is the only President to deploy the MOAB on a target(at least publicly acknowledged). What would stop him from using a shaped charge bunker buster on this underground base?
Maybe this base exists…and maybe it’s just more Iranian propaganda. Only Iran…and Israel…know for sure.
There has to be an opening at or near the water. Break that and these tunnels will flood.
