In fact, 65% of ALL new homes for sale are currently listed in the South, primarily in Texas and Florida.
This is exactly why new homes are now selling for LESS… pic.twitter.com/IWdArzr5sV

This looks like Paradise CA, Maui and now this place. These are space based weapons, DEW. How can we defend against such things?
There are quite a few video’s out there showing the big decline in level of quality of mass-produced homes. The builders are getting worse than they were before… I wouldn’t buy a home built by one of those big-name developers anymore. No doubt you will see huge discounts on those developer specials you see building whole neighborhoods at a time. Pre-existing homes and those built by private GC’s will carry a premium. Home inspector would make a nice career choice if you’re in a developed area.
We did a renovation our our home, built in 1971, last year. GC was a local guy and his dad and they did most of the non trades work. We did some reframing as we opened sections up and put a bathroom in where there wasn’t one. There is a big difference in the quality of the 2x4 lumber that they took out versus what was put back. The old stuff was much more dense. I would have liked to reuse it. In any case, the house is built much better than what they build today and it’s now effectively new.
