Come on, Margo. Aren’t you better than someone who only denigrates those who are trying to survive current events? Why not encourage the tourist business owners to offer special plans where a percentage of their profits (motels, restaurants, excursions, car rentals, etc.) are donated to those non-profits that actually are saving lives? Not FEMA or the Red Cross by the way. Tell those tourists making reservations to use a unique code when making the arrangements in order to receive a special rate with their next visit, be it Christmas or next spring or autumn? Everybody benefits this way.

OMG They are picking bodies out of the trees and this idiot is promoting leaf peeping seems a little crass to me. Lt. Gov Robinson has been there helping since day one. Maybe Josh should pick up a shovel and help the area recover instead of promoting strangers in the area. How about putting the people that have lost everything up in those hotels instead of price gouging them out of a warm place to rest and recover.

Too right, Margo! Repulsive on steroids. Josh Stein is superficial Trash generally, and he’s tone-deaf on this (to the point of cruelty) on this issue, like always.
I’d rather elect the stuff that I scrape off the bottom of my shoes to the Governor’s office as opposed to Josh Stein. Mark Robinson for Governor!

Mixed feelings on this as the mountain towns not damaged do rely on tourism a great deal.
Maybe the towns not damaged or recovered could share tourism dollars with the other towns who also rely on tourism that are still badly damaged.
