The bridge has two separate bridges for traffic and another bridge for trains. One side of the bridge is now open for traffic and rail service will be restored today.
It appears that the forces arrayed against Russia want a nuclear war and its resulting nuclear winter. They will claim that although massive amounts of people were killed, the silver lining was the end of global warming.

I am no one’s nuclear expert, but I have seen several reports that “nuclear winter” is just another one of the Left’s hoaxes. While nuclear war would be a disaster on a level never seen by humanity, and while there may well be a short term disruption of sunlight (but only if there is a very serious nuclear exchange, which is not at all certain), it is better to focus on facts, not on fiction from the Left.
For those too young to remember it, throughout the 1980s, we were barraged with the nuclear winter warnings. The Left moved on to “acid rain” in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and then to “global warming” in the late 1990s. When that didn’t pan out, they backed up and began warning of “climate change.”
Now the world awaits further instruction from an autistic Swedish teenager who likes to skip school.
Al Gore confidently predicted that the artic ice mass would be gone by 2010 and that the ocean levels would rise, completely inundating entire Pacific island nations and huge portions of Bangladesh.

So, very interesting story. My very first thought (not that this means anything in the grand scheme) was that the bridge was blown from underneath, like charges planted underneath the bridge then the trucks going over just a ruse to mask the explosion from the underside. I hadn’t actually considered a boat or drone, but I guess those could work too. I imagine it’s difficult to blow a bridge from above (unless a missile) since it’s designed to withstand a great deal of weight, as well as wind stress.
I think we’re going to see more and more of this… it is difficult, if not impossible, to win a war against a guerrilla army, and the Russians learned this in Afghanistan, and we learned it in Vietnam. Something to remember…
