Well, he is correct and if you are in a gun battle you better make damn sure you have enough mags to protect yourself.

I absolutely believe you should carry as many as you can, you never know what you will run into.

15 loaded mags and 100 rounds in your pack. It wont last long but you’ll be shocked how many rounds you used!

The saying goes (and my military friends corroborate same) “The purpose of the handgun is to fight one’s way to the long gun.”
I have no reason to disbelieve.

That is 90% true. The problem for most of us is when we are out and about in our daily lives, we are carrying concealed. And we may be in a place where we cannot fight our way to our long gun, locked in our vehicle. Think about the incident about a year ago. I believe it was in a mall in Indiana. The young man engaged the shooter at a considerable distance. He had a high capacity 9MM. Think about such tactics, mindset, and scenarios. Bleib ubrig.

Just a side note here, when considering your next long gun, a 50 cal, 338 lapua, 4570 govt, one you may not of heard of and still available is the 35 wheelan, developed in the mid 80s. Capable of taking down any game on the north american continent including grizzly with a 250 grain grand slam bullet, just saying.
