The promises of “fixing things” through an Article V Convention, a.k.a. a “Con Con”, are as false and gratuitous as the present regimes campaign promises of “Hope and Change”. Period.
There is no specificity in what would be “fixed”, or how said fixing will be done; and most importantly, once the Convention is under way, there are *absolutely no limits* on the scope, depth, or gravity of the changes which the convention may impose upon us. NONE.
There is absolutely no means of ensuring even the most stringent promise that the body of the constitution itself, nor the Bill of Rights, nor any other extant feature of our government would remain valid or enforceable.
And regardless, we would experience an entire generation of social and economic Chaos as a consequence of any substantial changes to the ways which the government obtains or dispenses funding or the way it divides and exercises power; the mass radicalization which that argument is guaranteed to produce would initiate absolute social conflagration, and thus serve as the most plausible precipitator for a declaration of martial law by the federal establishment.
DEATH THROES. That’s the singular feature which an Art.V Convention is actually GUARANTEED to produce.
And if you don’t think 0bama and the woo woos in the blue room want exactly that, then you need a remedial course in history. It must all be torn down, that it can be rebuilt to more closely resemble their heart’s (satanic) desires.
