From what I have heard, this bill is simply a sop to the Dem base. As provisions are clearly in violation of the Heller and Bruen decision, if passed, I give it 90 days, at most, before a federal judge issues a stay.
This bill will likely serve as a great Dem fundraiser, however, and that’s why they are passing it.

That makes sense. Otherwise the spectacle of Congress voting on a new law, the gist of which has already been declared unconstitutional, only serves to make a further mockery of government and respect for the law. These clowns think they can turn the rule of law into a joke and at the same time expect us to obey whatever arbitrary nonsense they vote for.
