Bannon: @elonmusk you’re gonna go to war on the likes of which you cannot possibly comprehend. I hate to make it personal, but you’ve tried to trash individuals by punching down. Remember the first rule at gladiator school, bro: don’t punch down. Either punch a peer or punch up. pic.twitter.com/a1zMLdTdRu

Time for the boys have a beer together and remember they are acting the way the Left betrays them.
Remember too, Elon is on the spectrum and has Asperger’s syndrome. That’s not an excuse for childish behavior, but rare and hard for someone built like that mentally to foresee how they will be interpreted in a social setting. I have some sympathy for the position that American’s in general do not exhibit the motivation needed for top of the line engineering jobs. The problem is probably not in the program being able to meet the needs of Elon and other technology companies, but that the program has failed to stay compliant with it own rules – it’s corrupted. Elon sees the high end successful side while MAGA sees the downside corruption where it’s just a means to bring in cheap labor to steal American jobs.
Here is how people *should* approach these types of disputes between allies. This guy downloaded 5 years worth of data and did the analysis on how the H1B program has performed. https://x.com/robertmsterling/status/1873174358535110953?s=46&t=Hv5M9yqWIch4zh8qG1K21w
Conclusion -the program did not provide the top 0.1% smart folks, it provided its biggest numbers into jobs paying sub-market wages. The vast majority of companies making applications are consulting firms that specifically target major companies to provide lower cost services that out compete smaller US consulting firms. Also the program is supposed to be capped but the numbers show it is not capped and vast numbers of the visas are handed out.
this analysis seems to show the program is abused. That should be an easy fix.
