If this is true, then I have to ask where were the Marine Corps general officers right up to the Commandant himself to protest? Did the POS McKenzie, CINC CentCom and a Marine himself, issue the order? (That miserable poltroon recently gave a mea culpa interview.) That said, why did no field grade officer on the ground defy the order and say, “come and make us”? Perhaps seize a few members of the CentCom staff there in Kabul and threaten to shoot down any aircraft that attempts to leave them. I seriously mean that. I understand the ramifications, but for God’s sake, when do leaders fight back, you know, to like “fight for right…and to keep [their] honor clean”?
