Cute, but ahistorical. The reality is that the only people who managed the transition from barbarianism and/or tyranny to civilized freedom have been people whose hearts were changed by the civilizing influence of Christ.

This is a topic of a longer discussion. While I agree with the premise, the Mayans developed the concept of zero and we use the Arabic numbering system. The sacking of the library at Alexandria was the start of the Dark Ages. The Spanish Inquisition and atrocities in the New World were barbaric. Our path must be with Divine guidance and not become corrupted.
