Funny story. I got to see Milley years back at a Veteran’s Day parade in Dallas. My best friend was the OIC\Public Liason for 1st Cav and they provided soldiers and horses for the parade. After the parade, all of the soldiers were invited to a free lunch at a local BBQ joint and there, in walks Milley with his very large security detail. The detail was all in civies and had SMGs under their coats. I was concealed carrying as I always do so I kept my distance. After eating, they lined up the soldiers to each receive the general’s coin. I whispered to my wife the irony was I was the only veteran in the room on Veteran’s day and the only one not getting a coin.
