HOUSE REPORT: ILL-TRAINED OBAMACARE NAVIGATORS ENCOURAGING FRAUD, JEOPARDIZING PRIVATE INFO

  • Mountain Project, Inc., a Navigator organization in North Carolina, has been collecting and mailing paper applications on behalf of applicants, in violation of Navigator rules and procedures.

WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT OBAMACARE COULD COST YOU YOUR IDENTITY

You’d think that the Department of Health and Human Services was vigilantly monitoring failures inside the Navigators program. Unfortunately, but not surprising, big government prefers to stay ignorant.

The Oversight report reveals that even when notified by Congress of specific examples of incompetence and fraud, HHS isn’t paying attention.

The report shares the story of Mountain Project, Inc., “a Navigator grantee organization in North Carolina,” that was “collecting and mailing paper applications on behalf of applicants” in clear violation of the Navigator standard Operating Procedures Manual. This violation of procedures was raised in a letter to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on November 7th. However, when three HHS officials were sent to “brief” congressional investigators on November 21st, they were unaware of the incident.

Mountain Projects, Inc. based in Waynesville, NC may be a good organization. However, I could not find any information on their website concerning their role as a Navigator organization.

Mountain Projects of Haywood County is the organization responsible for distribution of Section 8 housing along with any other government programs designed to aid the poor. It doesn’t surprise me that they would do anything they thought could help the poor get better access or better funding from government sources on Obama care. And it doesn’t surprise me that there is and will continue to be rampant fraud throughout the system just as there has been in every other government program put forth. I am curious at how the navigators were picked. I guess upon further thought, it makes sense to choose people already active in these types of programs rather than hire another 50,000 people and train them since that would take time, as did the web site, and forethought which this administration seems to be woefully short. And just as the IRS did, they take the lead from their great leader who worked in this very type of area, helping the poor get as much as they could regardless of how they did it.
