Secure Our Border-Enforce Our Laws
www.NCFIRE.info
The North Carolina Illegal Alien Crime Reporthas been updated for the month. It is 59 Word doc. pages long! Keep in mind, this is not all the crimes by suspected illegal aliens in NC, it is only the ones that 2 people could post in one month’s time. It would take a full staff working non-stop to post all of the crimes being committed; that’s how bad it is getting here. (If you don’t believe it, simply review the nearly 3 years worth of past crime reports on our website: www.NCFIRE.info)
The latest monthly report can be viewed online here or downloaded here.
Every month the list just gets longer. The states surrounding NC are strictly enforcing their immigration laws. Their actions are driving the illegal alien population here since we continue our laxenforcement and acceptance of “sanctuary city” policies by numerous municipalities. This trend will only get worse and shows a complete disregard for our State laws, and a disrespect for our citizens, by illegal aliens in NC.
NCFIRE calls upon our Legislators in Raleigh, to enact “Arizona” type immigration laws as soon as possible. We must get ahead of this problem before any more of our citizens fall victim to the illegal alien crime wave that is sweeping our state.

Asheville area immigration raid one of the largest
ASHEVILLE — Twelve Buncombe County restaurant workers were detained in one of the largest immigration raids in the mountains, according to a local immigrant’s rights group.
Agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement went into the Shogun Buffet Hibachi Grill & Sushi restaurant at 1000 Brevard Road Tuesday, said Ada Volkmer with Defensa Comunitaria.
“ICE went in around 10 a.m. before the restaurant opened and arrested the employees,” she said.
Volker said the agents detained eight people from Latin American countries and four Asian immigrants ranging in age from 23 to about 40. Some of the immigrants were from Mexico and El Salvador, she said. She didn’t know from which Asian country the four immigrants came.
ICE southeastern spokesman Vincent Picard confirmed that agents went to the restaurant but refused to comment on any detentions.
“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations agents investigating suspected violations of U.S. employment laws visited the Shogun Buffet restaurant in Asheville (Tuesday). Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation, no further information is available at this time,” he said in an emailed statement.
A cashier at the restaurant, which is in a strip mall south of Asheville and the Biltmore Square Mall, said managers were not in and that he could not give a number for the owner. Two calls back to the restaurant went unanswered.
County restaurant inspection records show the business’ permit holder as Jian Qing Wang. The restaurant is registered under the name Sandy Wang with the N.C. Secretary of State’s office.
Prior immigration raids in Western North Carolina included 57 people arrested at a Woodfin plant in 2008 and six people charged during a 2010 anti-gang operation at an Asheville restaurant.

Biggest pot bust in Cleveland County. Investigators find nearly a ton of pot in Shelby home
http://www.shelbystar.com/news/sheriff-59971-county-historic.html
SHELBY — Two men are in jail after investigators found more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana in their home.
The marijuana is worth more than $2 million, according to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office.
Marcelino Guerrero-Serrano, 21, and Juan Hernandez-Carmana, 32, both from 1200 Cherryville Road, were charged with one count each of trafficking marijuana.
Investigators arrested the men Wednesday after searching their home. Both are being held on $150,000 secured bonds.
Sheriff Alan Norman said investigators received a tip about drug activity at the home and seized compressed marijuana from the bed of pickup truck and outbuilding on the property.
“To date, it’s the largest marijuana seizure in Cleveland County that I’m aware of,” Norman said.
Investigators also found $52,000 in cash at the residence. Both suspects are originally from Mexico. Norman said neither suspect could speak English. A law enforcement translator was on the scene during the arrest, he said.
Guerrero-Serrano is an illegal immigrant, according to Norman.
The cash was turned over to the U.S. Marshal’s Service, Norman said. Seventy-five percent of the money will return to the sheriff’s office. The marijuana will be weighed and tested for potency by a state lab.
“Hopefully, we’ll save some young person from being poisoned by trying marijuana and escalating into a more potent drug later on in life,” Norman said.
Three charged in human trafficking investigation

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Three people were arrested Friday following a search of a suspected brothel in Greenville as part of a federal and local investigation into human trafficking, authorities said Monday.
Oscar Salinas-Rodriguez, 37, was charged with adult victim sexual servitude and was being held in the Pitt County jail under a $100,000 bond. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement also has an immigration detainer on him, meaning he is in the country illegally.
Authorities searched 5770 U.S. Highway 264 East and removed one woman they said had been forced to work as a prostitute there. The brothel operators lured the woman, who is from western North Carolina, to Greenville with the promise of a cleaning job, authorities said.
The woman had been at the brothel for about a week, authorities said, and the Salvation Army was working with her Monday to identify any services that she needs.
Kenia Susana Valdez-Gomez, 46, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jose Machado Castro, 20, of Wilson, were charged with soliciting for prostitution after the search. Both were being held in the Pitt County jail under $5,000 bonds.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit served a search warrant at 440 Meadow Lane near N.C. 152 after completing an investigation of a man the agency called “a major cocaine and marijuana trafficker.”
Along with the marijuana, detectives seized about a fifth of an ounce of cocaine packaged for sale and two handguns.

DENVER – Lincoln County SWAT team members raided a Denver home this week and found marijuana and cocaine.
The Tuesday, Nov. 22, raid of a Dick Wilson Road home began around 11:30 p.m. where deputies found 12 grams of powder cocaine, three to five grams of crack cocaine and a small amount of marijuana, a news release said. Investigators also found two 8 years old, inside the home.
The Department of Social Services was notified following the incident. It is unclear who the children belonged to.
This is the second time in three months the home has been raided by the Sheriff’s Office, the news release said.
The Sheriff’s Office charged two people, Reco Ricardo Cureton, 40, of 16001 Statesville Road, Huntersville, and Gercobe Arnell McClaine, 24, following the raid. McClaine listed his address as homeless.

Durham man charged in robbery, kidnapping
http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=news/local&id=8429759
MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) — A Durham man is spending his birthday in the Wake County Jail, after police here arrested him on a series of charges.
Rene Beristin Gonzalez, 19, is accused of stealing a 2004 Nissan Titan at gunpoint – and robbing one of the truck’s owners.
Police eventually caught up to him – but when they did – investigators say he told them there was a bomb in the truck.
There was no bomb – but saying there is – is a crime. So, Gonzalez is charged with making a false bomb threat.
That charge – along with ones for resisting a public officer, not having a driver’s license, breaking and entering, possessing a stolen motor vehicle, possessing burglary tools, robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping, and larceny of a motor vehicle – earned Gonzalez a trip behind bars – with a bond of more than $315,000.
He’s also accused of failing to appear on older charges.

DURHAM — The owners of a Durham carpentry business will spend time in federal prison for harboring illegal immigrant workers.

Suspect In Benson Man’s Death Receives Probation
http://www.wtsbradio.com/pages/localnews.html
The second suspect in the murder of a Benson man back in 2009 was sentenced in court this week. Gildardo Calderon Uriostegui, 34, was shot to death at a home in northern Johnston County and his body dumped in a ditch alongside Glendale Road outside of Kenly.
This week, Francisco Javier Zuniga, who was 19 at the time of the shooting, pled guilty to assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and accessory after the fact. He avoided jail time, instead he was given 36 months probation.
In September, a co-defendant, Diego Reyes, 20, of Middlesex pled guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced to serve between 14-1/2 to 18-1/4 years in prison for the death of Uriostegui.
According to arrest warrants, Zuniga allegedly helped dispose of the body, clean up the crime scene and burn the victim’s vehicle.

Deputies raid home, find more than 10 pounds of marijuana
Deputies arrested a Kannapolis woman on Thursday after a drug raid yielded more than 10 pounds of marijuana.
According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, investigators raided 8744 Smith Road near Enochville at about 1:30 p.m. and arrested Wannisa Noy Vongphakdy, who was inside the home.
Deputies are searching for Vongphakdy’s husband, Dice, who authorities believe is also involved in the drug trade.
Investigators said they gathered evidence for about a week before obtaining a warrant and entering the home.
The marijuana was packaged in several layers of material, including shrink wrapped plastic, tinfoil and dryer sheets.
Authorities said dryer sheets are sometimes used to mask the smell of drugs.
Investigators said they hope to arrest Dice Vongphakdy later today.
At this time, Wannisa Vongphakdy is still being processed at the jail.

DMV examiner in Lumberton and 2 illegal immigrants accused in fake ID scam
http://www.fayobserver.com/articles/2011/11/17/1138013?sac=Crime
LUMBERTON – A federal indictment accuses a Division of Motor Vehicles employee in Robeson County of taking bribes in exchange for issuing fake IDs to undocumented people, according to court documents.
Pablo Sarmiento, a driver’s license examiner in Lumberton, is charged with one felony count of Social Security fraud in connection with an offense that took place Aug. 17.
Two other people, Francisco Salome-Ramirez and Jamie Cortes-Gonzalez, are charged with Social Security fraud and eluding examination and inspection by immigration, according to the indictment filed in federal court this month.
The indictment alleges that Salome-Ramirez and Cortes-Gonzalez fraudulently obtained forged and duplicated Social Security cards, birth certificates and other identification that belonged to real people.
The documents were then given to others to be used for getting photo identification from the DMV, including state-issued ID cards and driver’s licenses, the indictment says. Salome-Ramirez and Cortes-Gonzalez charged the people a fee to coordinate the operation and ensure they were directed to Sarmiento’s workstation, according to the indictment.
Salome-Ramirez and Cortes-Gonzalez paid Sarmiento to process and approve the photo identification based on the fake documentation, the indictment says.
The three defendants knew that the people seeking identification cards were not those whose names and information appeared on the documents, authorities say.
Once issued the photo identification, the individuals were then able to assume the identity of the people whose identities were stolen, the indictment says.
Salome-Ramirez and Cortes-Gonzalez are illegal Mexican immigrants who entered the U.S. through Arizona in 2001 and 1996, respectively, and who have been living under false identities since, according to court records.
Salome-Ramirez also is known as Melvin Cruz-Carrasco. Cortes-Gonzalez also is known as Victor Manuel Rosado-Santiago.
North Carolina DMV spokeswoman Marge Howell said Sarmiento has been an agency employee since May 2004 and was in the same district until he resigned Oct. 6.
There is no indication that any DMV employee other than Sarmiento was involved in the scheme, she said. Howell said she did not know how he alone could have ensured certain people came to his workstation.
Examiners review documents in the office and are trained to follow a strict set of guidelines, she said. They are supposed to scan any questionable documents and send them to headquarters for further review, she said.
“We are in the process, too, of upgrading our driver’s license system that will require more scanning of more documents to come to headquarters to be given another once-over, especially ones with questions surrounding them,” Howell said.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Unit is conducting an investigation that occurred in the Freedom Division. The call for service was reported at 6:45 p.m. on November 21, 2011. The victims have been identified as Benjamin Acahua-Itehua and Floriberto Acahua-Itehua.
CMPD Freedom Division officers responded to a Missing Persons call for service near the 11200 block of Mt. Holly Road. The caller advised that he had not seen or spoken to his cousin in several days.
When officers arrived at the residence, they located evidence that was consistent with foul play. Another complainant arrived at the residence to check on his employee who had not shown up for work.
The officers then contacted Missing Persons and Homicide Unit detectives to take the lead on the investigation. Based upon information developed during the course of the investigation, there was missing property, including vehicles that belonged to the victims. Detectives canvassed the neighborhood to follow any leads and additional information.
Upon further investigation, suspects were developed and a BOLO (Be On the Look Out) was sent out to surrounding agencies. Within a short time period, three suspects were apprehended; Aquilino Tzompaxtle, Dominick Vershon Cole and Efrain Tzompaxtle. This is not a random act of violence; the victims and suspects were known to each other.

Each suspect has been charged with 2 counts of Murder and Armed Robbery, and will be transported to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office where they will remain in their custody.

ASHEBORO — An Asheboro man was charged after deputies delivered about 23 pounds of cocaine to his residence on Nov. 17, according to a press release released Monday from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
Indalecio Jaimes Jaimes, 26, of 341 McMasters St., Asheboro, was charged with two counts of trafficking in cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Randolph County Jail under a $1 million secured bond.
Officers searched the residence and seized approximately $197,000 in cash and a white 2008 Toyota Tundra.
The cocaine had been intercepted in another location which detectives are not releasing at this time as the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration continue the investigation.
A detective in the Special Operations Division said Monday that Jaimes arrest had not been released earlier while they were trying to further the case, but nothing has developed so far.
However, the detective said they are looking for co-conspirators and charges are pending against persons involved in attempting to deliver the 11 kilos of cocaine.
The detective said the location of the interception could not be released, but it was before the cocaine got to Randolph County. When drug enforcement officers determined that the shipment was to be delivered to Jaimes address in Asheboro, they made a controlled delivery, he said.
At this time, officers have not been able to determine where the cocaine was to be distributed from Asheboro.
“We still have a lot of questions and this investigation is still ongoing with the sheriff’s office and the federal drug agents in several locations at several levels, the detective said.

Driver In Angier Wreck Charged
http://www.wtsbradio.com/pages/localnews.html
The driver who allegedly caused a four-car collision that sent 11 people to area hospitals last week outside Angier faces four charges including driving without a license.
Alejandro Salas of Coats was driving a van that hit another car near the Angier city limits. While the two cars involved in that collision were in the road with their lights out, a third car hit them causing additional injuries and damage to the vehicles involved.
Mr. Salas now faces charges of driving without a license, improper passing, driving left of center and careless and reckless driving.
Harnett County District Attorney Vernon Stewart said his office is investigating whether or not Mr. Salas could have consumed alcohol.
“It is an ongoing investigation and there could be additional charges if we determine alcohol was involved,” Mr. Stewart said.
He said information on the additional charges should be released within the next five days.
Mr. Salas had three adult passengers in the van, along with two small children. Salas was taken from the scene in a UNC Hospitals Life Flight helicopter.
A spokesperson at UNC said he was not listed in the hospital system. She said it is possible the UNC Hospitals helicopter took him to a different hospital. Other injuries in the accident were not considered life threatening. The remaining 10 patients were taken to other area hospitals.
