NC National Guard mobilized over “civil unrest”

Gov. Roy Cooper holds a Feb. 14, 2017, news conference to announce a proposal to repeal a state law limiting LGBT rights.

The National Guard will deploy in Charlotte, Raleigh and potentially other North Carolina cities, Gov. Roy Cooper said Sunday afternoon, as he called for peace and a focus on the racism that precipitated protests around the country.

The governor said he authorized 450 guard members, and that they’re available by requests from local officials. At his 4 p.m. press conference, Cooper said Raleigh and Charlotte had requested help.

Any curfew decisions will be made locally, the governor said.

This isn’t about the Floyd death anymore. This is a fast growing civil war against all authority.
Our Governor is a clueless bitch. He doesn’t realize just how much of part of the problem he is.
Things are going hot people, head on a swivel,be prepared to defend your family.

Two comments. One only legal types think laws are force. A curfew, please. If the stupid orcs won’t stop vandalism you think they’re going to stop curfew violations. Oh wait, they’ll go after someone peacefully driving home from work that doesn’t represent a threat.

Two, I wonder if the NG will actually get serious and carry live ammunition or if they’ll only be for show as usual. The last thing any governor is going to want is Kent State 2.0, this time in a 4th turning.
