New Contacts for NC Gen Assembly to sustain Veto of H.786 – protect jobs for citizens

Immigration Activists and Concerned Citizens,

HELP — please read below…..all of our work at the state level this year rides on taking action over the next 7 days !!

Gov McCrory did veto H.786 — but we must make sure his veto is sustained.

In addition to contacting “your” two members of the NC General Assembly as noted further down below, let’s focus on the following NC House members listed just below: (copy and paste their email addresses into one email)

michael.stone@ncleg.net

john.szoka@ncleg.net

rena.turner@ncleg.net

john.blust@ncleg.net

mark.brody@ncleg.net

jamie.boles@ncleg.net

bert.jones@ncleg.net

james.langdon@ncleg.net

chris.malone@ncleg.net

jacqueline.schaffer@ncleg.net

bob.steinburg@ncleg.net

john.bell@ncleg.net

CONTACT the above members AND your member of the state NC House and NC Senate NOW and urge them to sustain the Governor’s VETO of H.786, the Reclaim Act —-  H.786 hurts our uemployed citizens and helps companies who hire illegal immigrants……our state unemployment rate is now the third highest and worst in the nation…..citizens need jobs NOT illegal immigrants.   Governor McCrory was right to veto H.786.

The NC Farm Bureau says the veto of H.786 will hurt farmers but the original E-Verify bill passed in 2011 that the current H.786 bill attempts to gut, gave a waiver for seasonal workers who work less than 90 days from being checked through E-Verify.  90 days is more than enough time for temp migrant workers to harvest crops.
