I have observed the similarity of the Rural people living In the mountains of SWNC, NGA, and SETN. State capitals are a long way off and relationships span over lines on a map. Cities are compromised where ever they are located.
The Southern Appalachian Redoubt is more cohesive than any Blue to Purple City in any of the three states. “Outsiders” will Not be welcomed if TSHTF, Kith and Kin may be an exception “If” of the proper persuasion.
I suspect this holds true going on up into NWNC, WVA, VA and TN along the Mountains. Think Local to survive. Statewide is going to be irrelevant, imo.
