North Carolina Police Department Asks Residents to Turn in Guns During ‘Nonviolence’ Event

A North Carolina town encouraged residents to sign a nonviolence pledge and turn in unwanted firearms Saturday.

According to the Greensboro News & Record, the Greensboro Police Department collected all guns that have been cleaned and unloaded from anyone at least 18-years-old during the weekend event. The police department also accepted guns anonymously.

The first step toward tyranny is the registration of defensive weapons -- guns.
The next is the voluntary surrender thereof.
The last is the door to door confiscation.
I will gladly surrender mine when the clips are empty and I’m no longer able to reload. I hope I’m not alone…

I like to know when and who is going to sue the police department for violating the rights of gun owners, we still have laws in our state that sheriffs have to uphold or they lose there jobs. the police department head is ignorant and he will very shortly feel the wrath of the people for there crimes. Greensboro has a community of terrorist islamic isis members and it seems to me he was protecting them and only them. his department must be sued for violation of or gun laws and he must step down.
