I went to Google Maps to find the Gaza Strip is only about 25 miles long by 5 miles wide. Yet the play it finds in the media is nearly a weekly occurence.
Its no wonder the POTUS is considering planting a flag there – drone surveillance would be easy to achieve and a U.S. port there would have some strategic value. Almost like a Guantanamo Bay on the Mediterranean. It is a long way from home though.

Yes. It looks horrible. And people are moved by visuals. Ut does anyone remember that these are the people who for decades, no matter who their “leaders” were, swore to exterminate the Jewish people and their state? Countless bombings of busses, restaurants, and other civilian targets. Kidnappings, shelling of residences with junk (but still deadly) rockets, suicide bombers, etc? If that was taking place here, would we not do whatever it took to finally secure safety for our people? The Palestinians are not poor unfortunate innocents who have been victimized by a brutal regime. Don’t fall for the propaganda from either side on this situation.
I posted this to show that Trump’s assessment was correct. There’s nothing left and it must be rebuilt from the ashes.
