That is why we continue to hear the LIE that you can make more in the private sector. Now add in all the useless holidays.
And they have the gall to tell us, we the lowly taxpayers, that they’re our “public servants.” Pretty damned good pay and benefits for mere servants, eh?
Knew an Air Force guy at Hurlburt Field back in the 90’s. He got out of the Air Force one day, came to work the next as civil service doing the same job making 3x what he made active duty. He wasn’t the only one. I’m sure it’s gotten worse since then.
