Columbus Day Thoughts

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, lefty lucy, columbus day, indigenous, warren, greta thunberg

Columbus Day” is now widely called “Indigenous Peoples Day,” and even more widely called “White Shame Day” because so few people can spell indigenous. In celebration of the day, liberal scolds will berate their fellow citizens for the unforgivable sin of stealing the heritage of native Americans…after which those same scolds will hurry off to an Elizabeth Warren rally.

Which shouldn’t come as any surprise – after all, “Indignant-est People Day” is all about hypocrisy…

This is not an important issue to me compared to other matters. Like many of you, I will go to work today to make money to pay taxes for those who have today off as a “holiday” or to fund the other side’s coup attempt to take whatever money we have left.

If It Bleeds It Leads: How the American Media Perpetuates and Profits from Mass Shooting

If It Bleeds It Leads: How the American Media Perpetuates and Profits from Mass Shootings

“I have repeatedly told CNN and our other media the following if you don’t want to propagate more mass murders: Don’t start the story with sirens blaring. Don’t have photos of the killer. Don’t make it 24/7 coverage. Do everything you can not to make the body count the lead story. Localize the story to the affected community. And make it as boring as possible in every other market.”Dr. Park Dietz, Forensic Psychologist, on how to stop mass shootings

Video games. 4chan. “Toxic masculinity.” These are just a few of the media’s favorite folk devils when it comes to assigning blame for mass shootings in America. However, there is startling evidence that how the media covers these tragedies makes them culpable in perpetuating future ones.

This might sound like an outlandish claim, but it’s supported by evidence from no less an authority than the National Institutes of Health. It’s related to a well-established phenomenon of copycat suicides known as the Werther Effect. Other countries’ medias have taken steps to minimize the Werther Effect through self-imposed industry standards on suicide reporting, and many of these standards have parallels with the coverage of mass shootings.

The American media currently has no industry standard practices for how to cover either suicides or mass shootings. However, one can easily see the difference between how mass shootings and suicides are covered. Whereas suicides are treated as somber tragedies, mass shootings often have the sensationalism turned up to 11. There’s a detailed discussion of the shooter’s life story, motives and methods. Strong evidence suggests that this both encourages and instructs potential mass shooters.

This Penny Is Going To Drop For You. Get Busy.

This word of wisdom from Ned Ryun at American Greatness:

“So if you’re wondering how all of this stops, how we return to normal, I will tell you what a friend  told me: ‘There is no normal. There is only Clausewitz.’ There is only absolute and total political war on this axis we face until we beat them into an unconditional surrender. The Left wants it that way because they think they can win. They want no holds barred total political war. Since we can’t escape it, I say we give it to them measure for measure.”

The left has been waging war on this presidency since 11/9/2016. It doesn’t matter that they’ve been firing blanks for going on 3 years, what matters is that they keep reloading and shooting.   We’re getting to the point where that’s going to have to be answered decisively, and not just with mere ridicule, or a strongly worded rebuke.

As Churchill wryly observed, people who won’t change their minds, and won’t change the subject, are fanatics. They suffer from deranged lunacy. It progresses to violence, inevitably, and already has. Every time they’ve moved to seize power, in every country, for a hundred years and more. And if they oppose your vote in the polling booth with their votes on the street, you’re going to have to vote from the rooftops, and deal with rabid dogs in the time-honored way.

They want the fight that’s coming, because they can’t out-argue it, they couldn’t out-vote it (God Bless You, James Madison et al) and they think they’re entitled to rule. Worse, they think they’re going to win, by divine right, among other reasons, even if their only deity is their bellies, and whatever hive consciousness passes for their minds.

If you’re not buying a case of canned goods at the market and the sporting goods store every paycheck, you’re doing this wrong.

And don’t forget to spend the time to learn how to use them.
Tools without training are toys.
You don’t need hobbies, you need habits.
Get busy.

Hunter Biden Steps Down from Chinese Board Amid Trump Attacks

Hunter Biden is stepping down from the board of a Chinese-backed private equity company and promising to forego all foreign work if his father, former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, is elected president in 2020.

After months of keeping a relatively low-profile as President Donald Trump leveled a barrage of unsubstantiated accusations of corruption at him, the younger Biden is publicly vowing to avoid any conflict of interest.

According to a statement released on his behalf by his lawyer George Mesires, Biden said he’ll resign at the end of the month from the management company of a private equity fund that’s backed by Chinese state-owned entities. He also pledged that he wouldn’t work for any foreign-owned companies or serve on their boards during a potential Biden administration. He reiterated that he never discussed his business activities with his father.

President Donald Trump: Joe Biden ‘Understood How To Kiss Barack Obama’s Ass’

A classic Trump rally with a classic punchline. Do you want an a$$ kisser for President of a gunslinger who will drain the swamp?

Is This What You Want?

If you are planning on waiting for the “Left” to get some sense slapped into them, you will have a long wait. I don’t know about you but I will not hide in some shelter hoping that someone else will fight for my children’s freedom.

The war is here whether you admit it or not. However, if you still believe that we are a Republic with the rule of law in place, I do have a shelter for sale in a Florida swamp.

Fighting Fire with Firepower

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, trump, impeachment, news, media, lies, democrats

Our culture is now experiencing a saturation bombing campaign of entirely specious non-stop messages about Trump being some kind of monster. Fox News and the Drudge Report have now largely fallen into lock step with the rest of mainstream media, which only adds to our sense of frustration and isolation.

We’re not calling out these “news” sources because they’re reporting stories we don’t like, we’re calling them out because their stories are all overhyped spin and bullshit. No wonder polls are showing growing support for the removal of the President – people are being force fed lies on a 24/7 basis. Without taking the initiative to dig deeper into stories or (God help us) actually use their heads, it’s unsurprising that so many are coming to believe the relentless propaganda.

Make no mistake, this is much more than a skirmish over a President. It’s a battle about the very nature of our Constitution, our freedoms, our way of life, and whether or not elections will ever again mean a damn in this country. The fact that those outcomes are currently unclear underscores what a perilous and historic point we’re at.
