Government’s Uncivil War

What in the world is happening to our government? I don’t think anyone can adequately wrap their heads around it and explain. I know I can’t. Just to name a few things that come to mind.

Cover ups?
  Coup d’ etat?
Treason?
Obstruction?
Espionage?
New Green Deal?
Medicare for all?
Invasion at the border?

The example our government is setting can lead to nothing but chaos. If the populace continues to emulate the behavior of those we have elected to govern us, there will be no peace, there will be no sense of community, of belonging to one of the greatest countries on earth. If every workplace, family, church and organization dealt with their differences the way our government officials do, there would be anarchy in a week.

The Julian Assange Indictment, by Robert Gore

The death of the First Amendment

The US Department of Justice has brought an 18-charge indictment against Julian Assange. Seventeen of the counts are for violations of the Espionage Act. To much scorn and derision Wikileaks and Assange have been warning for years that this is exactly what the US government would do. They have been vindicated. Obama Justice Department lawyers, examining the exact same evidence as the Trump Justice Department lawyers, declined to press charges against Assange because they believed it would criminalize essential elements of journalism, one of which is disclosure of secrets the government would rather not have disclosed, and obliterate the First Amendment. The Obama lawyers were right.

The Trump administration is attempting to silence a journalist and organization that have acted as a clearinghouse for whistleblowers outside and inside governments who have courageously sought to reveal their governments’ depredations and crimes. In this country, Assange and Wikileaks have embarrassed and infuriated both the left and right, Democrats and Republicans, and so they have no friends or protectors within the powers that be. An important point is that they have done their job mostly with documents and other materials produced by the perpetrators themselves. Telling the truth has indeed become a revolutionary act, which is always a hallmark of tyranny.

Floods And Drought Devastate Crops All Over The Planet – Could A Global Food Crisis Be Coming?

It looks like global food production could be well below expectations in 2019, and that could spell big trouble in the months ahead.  In recent weeks, I have written extensively about the problems that we have been experiencing here in the United States.  As many as a million calves were lost to the flooding that hit the state of Nebraska in March, farmers have planted less than half of the corn that is normally in the ground by this time of the year, and a lot of the crops that have been planted in the middle of the country are really struggling due to extremely wet soil.  But it isn’t just the United States that is facing a very troubling year.  Earlier today, one of my readers sent me an article entitled “Global food crisis ahead as extreme weather events devastate crops and fields around the world”which I would encourage everyone to read.  In that article, we are told that after the worst drought in 116 years Australia has actually been forced to import wheat.  And according to the Guardian, this is the first time in 12 years that this has happened.

Nothing incites war more than a starving people whose rulers want to remain in power. Trump’s Chinese food policy may be more about a shortage here than about leveraging a trade deal.

How Government Works

A short video outlining how Congress “works”. The House of Representatives is quickly becoming irrelevant as their actions show desperation trying to stop the exposure of multiple abuses of power.

I saw and documented this same behavior in the NC State House on multiple occasions. Power does corrupt and as we see even on the local level, any power corrupts absolutely. Here is one example showing how the Republicans shut down the 2nd Amendment:

Swedish Government wants to ban ancient Viking symbols, claiming they “constitute incitement to hatred”

The Swedish Government is trying to make certain runes from the runic alphabet, as well as some old Norse Scandinavian symbols illegal.

Their official reason for banning the runes is that Nazis used some of them during the second world war, for example the Odal rune that means O and the Tyr/Tiwaz rune that means T. Reportedly, the Social Democratic Minister of Justice Morgan Johansson is behind the initiative.

According to the proposal, Old Norse symbols and jewelry may also be banned as incitement to hatred. This includes Mjolnir, hammer of the Norse God Thor, the Valknut/Odin’s knot and the Vegvisir.

This is simple. The Swedish government has turned the country over to Muslims. They can’t have their men stand up as their forefathers did to protect their women and children.

If the Deep State Falls

Image result for ig report 2019

If the news is true concerning the imminent release of the first IG report and the declassification of the Russian collusion story designed to be the Democrat insurance policy in case of a Trump victory, what happens to the Deep State?

If the Deep State falls, the new Democrats Socialists have already positioned themselves to replace them. And with the enslavement of our youth by college debt, they will see this as a means to become “free” in a Socialist paradise. Couple them with illegal aliens, government workers and the intelligentsia and we are outnumbered. But not outgunned.

But what if the Deep State decides to fight once they realize their options are limited?

How the Democrats JustifyTyranny

Image result for “Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

People want to believe. They want to believe in the half truths that are told by people seeking to “help them”. History tells a different outcome: tyranny. Tyranny in recent history comes under the guise of Socialism/Communism. It is strange that people cannot see the repercussions of political ambition even as it is unfolding before their eyes in Venezuela.

So the question to be asked is one that will upset many. If people are too stupid to understand the consequences of ceding power to a smooth talking politician/revolutionary, should their voice count?

Storm Warning

From comments:

Aesop, do you anticipate any of that (the indictments and prison time you mentioned) actually happening? I have zero faith that it will. Zero.

You may be right.

I know what should happen, but not what will.

That uncertainty alone is cause for great alarm for anyone with any common sense.
The entire point of law is that it be fixed and reliable for all.
Without that, when it’s random and capricious, it’s worse than no law at all.

If there aren’t indictments, trials, and convictions over what’s gone on, I can tell you what I do have faith will happen: there’s going to be war.

Not a tantrum, or a disturbance, or a riot, or even some low-intensity nonsense.
It’s going to be a full batshit war. It will come in its own time. Maybe slow unfolding, maybe all at once. But come it will.

People are going to start looking for an excuse, any excuse, and then they’re going to find one, and hunting season will be open. And once it starts, it’s going to spiral out of control, like things do, and one side or the other will become extinct before it’s over.

The social construct in this country is that every two to four years, we have peaceful revolutions at the ballot box.

Now one side doesn’t want to play by that any more, and has spent two years subverting every branch of government to support a slow coup against an elected president. Either we nip that nonsense in the bud, and people responsible pay with their lives spent in prison for a decade or two, or we’re going to start getting governments by hard coup, with all the trimmings, and we’ve seen how that’s played out, from Russia in 1917 to Venezuela yesterday.

Folks won’t wait to be rounded up, they’re going to go looking for the troublemakers, and standing them up against the nearest wall.

And anybody, including police, government, or military, who picks the wrong side, will get stood right up against one too, to the last man.
And if they’re very, very fortunate, we won’t go looking for their wives and kids after that.
If.

That’s the lit road flare the current crop of jackholes in Congress, and the perpetrators of the Russian collusion hoax, are juggling in a wading pool of gasoline.

They’re about one more cover-up, one gun grab, or one attempted impeachment, away from finding out what the old rules look like in practice. When you have to take a hand, and you won’t be left in peace, there’s no percentage in sitting it out for another day, and a lot of people are going to start taking a close interest in their neighbors, with a view to culling the problem from hell to breakfast, until they work their way all the distance to the top of the totem pole.

I suspect a lot of other societal dysfunction is going to get a blowtorch up its tailpipe as part of the show.

The prospect of such times frankly scares the hell out of me, but not as much as the prospect of sitting on my hands and watching the crooked communists in power march ever onward, and plant 100M of their friends and neighbors in mass graves.

Because that’s where we are headed if nothing happens, and no one cares.

Now imagine if, ten or twenty or thirty years ago, someone had told you such a thing would be discussed seriously.

As CA says frequently over at WRSA:
This is where we are now.
Imagine where we’ll be.
