Stop Kicking the Can and Focus on What Is Important

Image result for kick the can national debt

The media’s accelerated news cycle is designed to focus our attention on irrelevant issues instead of the important ones which matter. When I say the issues that matter, I mean those that will decide the fate of our children’s Liberty. While the following points are not meant to be complete (feel free to add to this list in the comments), I hope to have people focus on what we need to preserve the country. And if it is too late, maybe we can learn from our mistakes and build a better nation based on morality, courage and Liberty with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence .

  1. The rule of law. It is not “begging the question” to state that the rule of law in this country is dead. Whether it is a two-tiered or three-tiered system is not relevant: a Republic without the rule of law is an illusion. Do not forget this partial list:
  • Hillary Clinton has not been charged with numerous felonies.
  • The arrest of Roger Stone.
  • The abuse of asset forfeiture by law enforcement.
  • Eric Holder’s contempt of Congress with no repercussions.
  • The funding of the Russian Dossier by the DNC.
  • The illegal persecution by the IRS based on political ideology.
  • The murder of LaVoy Finicum by the FBI.
  • Fraud perpetrated on the FISA court by the FBI and DOJ.

2. The borders. The southern border was a decisive factor in the election of Donald Trump. No one can credibly argue that this is not a national crisis. Drugs, slavery and crime are the results of Congress being bought off by drug cartels. The issue is not whether to build a wall, the issue is to prosecute those responsible for putting our national security at risk. What did we forget in this issue? Paul Ryan’s role as Speaker of the House: he is the root cause for making this a national issue for the Democrat party.

3. The national debt. The national debt is currently $21.97 trillion. The true debt of the country is a minimum of $100 trillion. We cannot discuss the state of the economy without this issue being addressed. Starting point: the US dollar must be severely devalued in order to erase this debt. We also must never forget that this debt was imposed upon the people to buy votes, award government contracts to pay back Congressional bribes and devalue our wealth to impose a class system in the country.

4. Political parties. While we can discuss whether there is one political party comprised of political elites or two parties, we must focus on the main point. The Democrat party has become a party of Socialists whose intent is to gain unbridled power. If you think this can be easily reversed, I caution you to remember that the people “voted” for a Democrat controlled House of Representatives AFTER the successes of the Trump administration. And this new House is being run by the new Socialist branch. We must never forget that Socialism leads to Communism.

5. Identity politics. Let’s be clear on the definition of identity politics: a tendency for people of a particular religion, race, social background, etc., to form exclusive political alliances, moving away from traditional broad-based party politics. Our nation’s strength in the past has been its unification into one melting pot. The statement that the “United” States of America could only be destroyed from within has been a proven warning since our inception. The antonym of unity is diversity. Identity politics may sound nice to the Socialists gathering for their next strike against Liberty, but the reality is that this is their tool to overthrow the country. Never forget that the loss of Liberty has consequences and that our children’s bondage can not be our legacy.

So when did it become necessary to have “proof of life” for a Supreme Court Justice? Just show us the body and bury the poor thing if she is dead.

Trump Administration Breaks Campaign Pledge, Places Gun Owners under Siege

The siege began on many of us when the clock started ticking on the “Trumpstock ban.” In a little over a month-and-a-half, if we who have been non-violent and loyal Americans all our productive lives do not destroy or surrender our heretofore lawfully-owned property, Donald Trump’s Department of Justice will declare us felons and marshal the resources of the federal government to take us hostage, financially ruin us, tear us from our families, imprison us and destroy our lives.

You Can’t Kill Evil with Kindness

At the core of the true leftist is a hatred for anyone and anything that stands in the way of his or her lust for power over others: the nuclear family, Christianity, the Constitution, Donald Trump, etc.

Conservatives who believe that it is still possible to reason with the left and engage them in fair-and-square policy debates are clinging to a failed strategy, sadly. We must accept the reality that leftists have long since abandoned rational rules of engagement, if they ever had any; instead, they operate from a hate-filled mob mentality, a bloodlust for power, and a complete absence of moral boundaries. We cannot afford a lack of moral clarity about the undeclared civil war raging across the United States of America.

Get Your Tech License The Easy Way

So you want to get some real commo gear and stop using those walkie talkies from Walmart? This means Ham Radio.

Ham Radio requires a license to do it legally. So you might say “I don’t need no stinking license”. You could go that route, but you will never acquire the skills you need to be effective in radio without lots of practice and practice means airtime. Hams WILL KNOW IF YOU ARE NOT LICENSED and it just will not go well for you. Get your tech license, it is easy and will give you access to many bands including the much used 2M and 440mhz.

You decided? Great!

OK, here is the free tech study guide. If you read it with the idea that it come DIRECTLY from the test, it makes sense and will give you the basics.

https://www.kb6nu.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/2018-no-nonsense-tech-study-guide-v1-1.pdf

Now, once you read it, really read and digest it, then you start flash cards. Online flash cards do two things very well, they drill into your brain the actual questions and answers from the exam, and they give you instant feedback as to your answers. Positive reinforcement.

Do the cards for an hour or so each night or give yourself a break of a few hours if more than once per day so you don’t burn out, and you will be able to pass the test.

There are two flash card sites I recommend (you can also take practice exams).

https://hamstudy.org/tech2018

https://hamexam.org/

And another place to take practice exams

http://www.eham.net/exams/

Do a google search for (your county, state)ham exam and you can find where the test is being given. Many Ham clubs offer testing and the cost is $15. While you’re at it, go ahead and study for your General test as well, you can take it for free the same night. I passed both on one evening and you can too. It’s easy if you spend a few nights with the flash cards to get your Tech license and even General license.

The General study guide is $9.97 and well worth it.

I have personally tested $30 Chinese dual band handhelds in the mountains of NC, over hills and forest at over 6 miles. I was not at the end of their range. Yes, they are line of sight and it depends on your terrain but 5w Chinese dual bands beat the heck out of 1w FRS radios from Walmart.

With repeaters many miles of useful communication is available. The big 2M tower in my area has a huge footprint at 1800 feet high and I have hit it from my truck at over 75 miles away.

Get on it, nothing good happens without comms.

Get. Your. License. 10 year old boys and girls get their tech license every month where I live, you can do it, with a few nights of study.

Tick. Tock.

Pope Francis confirms priests’ abuse of nuns included “sexual slavery”

Nuns have suffered and are still suffering sexual abuse at the hands of Catholic priests and bishops, and have even been held as sexual slaves, Pope Francis confirmed on Tuesday. The abuse was so severe in one case that an entire congregation of nuns was dissolved by former Pope Benedict.

The scope of the abuse of nuns by clergy members first came to light with the publication at the beginning of February of the monthly Vatican magazine “Women Church World.” The edition included Francis’ own take on the scandal — long known about by the Vatican but virtually never discussed — in which he blamed the unchecked power wielded by priests and higher clergy across the Catholic Church for such crimes.

An Associated Press journalist who first reported on the scandal last year asked Pope Francis on his flight home from the Arabian Peninsula on Tuesday whether enough was being done by the Church hierarchy to address the problem.

The pontiff conceded that it was a problem and said more action was needed. He insisted the will to confront the abuse is there, and stressed that the problem is not new, and that the Church has been working to address it for some time.

What Are You Reading?

A 4GW READING LIST

As the nation-state system goes through its death throes, our own government has admitted that the world is undergoing “Lebanonization.”  For no other reason than that, I think it’s a good idea to understand 4th-Generation warfare in all its forms.  Personally, I felt most of my officer training was useless for war in the world of the declining nation-state, so this topic is of academic interest to me.  In each of these books, question the assumptions and correlate the assumption with those of other authors.  These books are not ranked in order.

  1. Victoria by Bill Lind. A novel about 4th generation war in the United States.  Regardless of what you believe about its premises, it’s an excellent, thought-provoking read about the establishment of insurgency, legitimacy, and prosecution of 4th-generation war in various regions of the former United States.  It has excellent summaries of key ideas of military strategists (Moltke, et al) and philosophers (the Frankfurt School) that influenced the outbreak of insurgency in the United States, for good or bad.  Lind gives an excellent definition of strategy in Victoria from one of Boyd’s talks. He said strategy is the art of connecting yourself to as many other power centers as possible, while separating your enemy from as many power centers as possible.
  2. American Insurgents; American Patriots by Breen. It examines the countryside insurgency that evicted the British occupation from the countryside and bottled it up in the cities.  The interesting thing was the way the insurgency established a larger organization among the 13 colonies and avoided anarchy and established legitimacy. I’m halfway through.  This book is a slog but gives the background of one of the few insurgencies run by good people to good results.  Most insurgencies are by bad people towards bad results.
  3. The Fangs of the Lone Wolf: Chechen tactics in the Russian-Chechen wars 1994-2009. The forward states that “what is lacking in the literature about the guerrilla perspective are collections of the combat experiences of the rank and file guerrillas and their tactical leaders. These people seldom leave written records, yet theirs are often the most interesting accounts.” This book contains stories from rank-and-file guerrillas.
