Religious and civil rights leaders in the black community called out the Obama Administration and U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch and state Attorney General Roy Cooper during a press conference at a hotel where Cooper was holding an event today.
John Amanchukwu, executive director of the Upper Room Christian Academy, was joined by other religious leaders to decry the actions of the Obama Administration relating the gntuation facing transgendered students in schools to Jim Crow era laws holding blacks down.
Amanchukwu also called out Cooper for not signing onto a lawsuit with 11 other states suing the federal government over its directive to public schools to allow students to choose the gender-specific facility of their choice based on their preferred gender identity.
“We’re here to speak out about our attorney general’s failure to speak out and to sign the lawsuit that came out today,” he said. “Eleven states, and I will name those states – Texas, Alabama, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Tennessee, Arizona, Maine, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Utah and Georgia – signed on to sue the Obama administration and Loretta Lynch for the false accusations that they have made about transgenderism and the directive that (Obama) placed upon schools to allow space for transgendered students in the school system.
“But our attorney general in our state, Roy Cooper, has failed to sign onto the lawsuit, that’s the reason why North Carolina was not mentioned. What we have today is simple: as a black American in this state it’s an insult and it’s a racial slur to compare the transgender movement to the civil rights movement.”
On Wednesday, Special Operations troops from more than a dozen countries jumped out of helicopters, rappelled from buildings and expended hundreds of rounds of ammunition as they attempted to rescue the mayor of this Florida city.
The operation was, of course, an exercise, but it was also a public spectacle for a force that has tried desperately to remain in the shadows despite now being at the forefront of America’s wars.
Aside from U.S. Special Operations forces, including Navy SEALs, Marine Raiders and Army Green Berets, countries such as Ireland and Jordan also participated in the exercise. Many of the participants covered their faces, and only a select few were allowed to speak to the media afterward.
A coalition of 9/11 families have been fighting for the right to sue Saudi Arabia for its role in the attacks. A bill allowing them to do so has just been crippled.
U.S. Senator Charles Schumer added a last minute amendment to a bill allowing the families of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia, as reported by the New York Post. The addition would allow the Justice Department to delay any legal action against foreign governments indefinitely.
The bill was passed unanimously by the Senate and is awaiting a vote in the House. The change effectively renders the bill powerless.
The section added by Schumer to the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act is titled “Stay of Actions Pending State Negotiations.” It allows the secretary of state to suspend litigation proceedings as long as they can “certify” that the U.S. government is “engaged in good-faith discussions with the foreign-state defendant concerning the resolution of claims against the foreign state.”
Hamas-linked CAIR is congratulating itself on its “witty and humorous” idea, but it isn’t even original to CAIR. Back in July 2010, while speaking in Sweden, I was handed a box of “Islamofobil” pills that promised to cure “Islamophobia” and promote “multiculturalism” and “open-mindedness.”
Anyway, Hamas-linked CAIR’s self-proclaimed “witty and humorous” new product claims to cure “Blind Intolerance,” “Unthinking Bigotry,” “Irrational Fear of Muslims,” and “U.S. Presidential Election Year Scapegoating.” It even promises that it “SPREADS LOVE.”
Aren’t there laws against making false claims for a product? But let’s take them at their word. “Islamophobin” gum cures “blind intolerance”? Wonderful! So if Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik had been chewing away on some “Islamophobin,” they wouldn’t have stormed a Christmas party in San Bernardino last December and murdered fourteen non-Muslims, right? If Islamic jihadists had had some “Islamophobin” gum in November, they wouldn’t have murdered 130 people in Paris, eh? And apparently if they had had some of this miracle love-spreading gum in Brussels last March, they wouldn’t have murdered 32 people and wounded over 300 in bombings at the airport and the metro station.
After an unsuccessful vote last week in which seven House Republicans changed their votes on the measure, the U.S. House late Wednesday approved an amendment voiding language in major defense spending legislation undercutting President Obama’s executive order against anti-LGBT discrimination.
Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.), who’s gay and a co-chair of the LGBT Equality Caucus, introduced the amendment, which was approved by a vote of 233-186 as part of a $37.4 billion package making appropriations for energy and water infrastructure in the upcoming fiscal year.
The amendment prohibits the spending of U.S. funds in contravention of Obama’s 2014 executive order barring federal contractors from engaging in anti-LGBT workplace discrimination. Maloney’s amendment would nullify a provision in the fiscal year 2017 defense authorization bill inserted by Rep. Steve Russell (R-Okla.) that would undermine that executive order.
Following the vote, Maloney tweeted out a statement declaring the adoption of his amendment was a win for LGBT equality.

Trump, the de facto Republican presidential nominee, and Bernie Sanders, the second-place Democratic hopeful, are flirting with the idea of staging a shocking spectacle in a historically unpredictable presidential race: a cross-party primary debate between two outsider candidates who have shaken up the political establishment.
Both candidates say they’re interested in a debate that Trump has predicted would draw huge ratings.
“This would be a complete circus,” said Democratic media strategist Brad Bannon. “To me, it shows more than anything else that American politics has become entertainment.”
Photos of US soldiers wearing patches from the Kurdish People’s Protection Unit, or YPG, as they fight the Islamic State alongside Kurds in Syria have enraged Turkey’s foreign minister, who called the photos “unacceptable” on Friday.
“It is unacceptable that an ally country is using the YPG insignia. We reacted to it. It is impossible to accept it. This is a double standard and hypocrisy,” Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said, according to the Turkish daily newspaper Hurriyet.
The photos, taken by Delil Souleiman for AFP, have reignited the debate over Washington’s support for the YPG, with some calling the patches “politically tone deaf” and others insisting it is “perfectly normal.”
US boots on the ground in Syria and Iraq. So many players in this war and it appears that Obama’s policy is to support each faction (friend and foe) to continue the proxy war, sell arms and alienate what few allies we have left.
I don’t think Obama even knows the words to the national anthem. But then, most people do not know the words. Or that there are four parts:

There are three ways for a person to obtain something of value from another person: receive it as a donation, steal it by force or fraud, or exchange for it. It’s not much of an oversimplification to say that the advance of civilization has hinged on its movement from the first two methods to the third. The right to exchange, and the right to promise as part of a future exchange—the right to contract—are now taken for granted, but those rights are delicate and a whole complex of rights, assumptions, and obligations are subsumed by them. Their intellectual foundations are being undermined as the equality of rights implicit in contract and exchange gives way to a regressive inequality of rights: servitude.
The essence of exchange is choice; it’s voluntary. Both parties have the choice of whether or not to transact, and neither will do so unless they subjectively value what they receive more than what they give up. That is not to say that there will be equality of resources, bargaining power, or negotiating skill between the parties, or that they will be equally happy with their bargain, only that both parties have the same choice to accept or reject the proposed transaction. Exchange embodies that equality of rights between parties, but not an equality of outcomes.
