the mediocrity downspiral

We wonder why things don’t work anymore? Here is one pretty logical answer.

A’s hire A’s and B’s hire C’s. (and you seriously do not want to meet the people C’s hire)

that’s it. that’s all we need to extrapolate and plot it.

this pattern emerges in response to two simple drives affecting all those who lack ability to compete:
the essence of this is simple: the highly competent (A’s) wish to be surrounded by other highly competent people. an organization of mostly A’s (or at least A’s in management) thrives and gets lots done. it innovates. it rewards achievement and ability. it’s a meritocracy. because that’s what A’s want.

and B’s hate this. they cannot get ahead and they live in fear of A’s beneath them coming for their jobs and hatred of A’s above them who prevent advancement and who make demands for performance.

they do not want their jobs taken, so they respond to this by hiring only those less competent than themselves to work under them (C’s). this is how they hold position and avoid challenge and threat.

ideally, they’d also like to clear any A’s above them out of the way so they can generate some upward mobility. they cannot do this on a meritocratic axis, so they seek another one to supplant it.

they seek to move hiring and promotion to some other quality than ability then reinforce it with doctrine.

the pretext itself is incidental to this process. it does not really matter what it is.

it just has to be “something other than competence” and you land in this self-referential recursive trap.

DEI/woke/ESG is not some new thing. it’s just the same set of anti-meritocracy pigs that thrive in communist and other authoritarian systems dressed up with different lipstick. the pretexts change but the praxis is timeless.

Note: The all lower case type seems to be some device of the writer. To what purpose I have not a clue.

Looting The ‘Allies’

The Bozo [Trump] Doctrine, the Bibi [Netanyahoo] Doctrine, and the Tayyip [Erdogan] Doctrine, are all converging on a new post-Westphalian world disorder of imperialism gone nuts.
For the cucked vassals of the old order this means either grow a pair and resist or lose every shred of sovereignty, dignity, and material comfort you have left. Cucks like the EU, Australia, Japan, South Korea and wounded weak states like Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq are all suffering the torment of being raped and ravaged by powerful rogue states.

Bozo didn’t lose a minute to join the melĂ©e. He looked at the economic train wreck he was inheriting and decided it was now or never to hoist the Jolly Roger over his big but old and rusty military machine and what’s left of the once mighty dollar’s hegemony.

His first victims would be the weak and cucked vassals who poured their sorry excuse for a military and their treasure into the Ukraine black hole. Bozo knows that his unfurling of the black banner will automatically dissolve those BS “alliances” with weak vassals that were never but a frilly negligĂ©e concealing America’s naked imperialism, as revealed by the the lonely squeak of the French chihuahua protesting Bozo’s Greenland grab and threatening to resist.

The cucked chihuahuas of the Rules Based Order are suddenly up against Judgement Day, naked and defenseless between two raging behemoths, Amerisrael and Russia, while an even bigger and scarier one, China, looms over everybody else.

It’s the 19th century with nukes and hypersonics and space jets, which would normally be followed by the world wars of the 20th. But with 21st century speed, it shouldn’t take longer than a decade if that.

Unlike what we were taught in Sunday School, violence or its threat solves everything. It would appear things will soon be solved.

The FED Made a Huge Mistake

At the time of this post, the DOW is down 632 655 points and gold is up $27 $29.67 $31.05 an ounce. Get ready for inflation from every aspect of your lives. Home insurance and house construction costs will go up due to the LA fires. The FED must refinance a large amount of the US debt this year at a higher interest rate. Medical and health costs will continue to skyrocket because the doctors bow down to big pharma and their own greed.

AI will change the world but it will come at a high cost as people are replaced by automation and AI agents. What will normal people do when they have no options?

California-Based Insurer Crashes Amid Billions In L.A. Area Fire-Damage Losses

Out-of-control wildfires burning across the Los Angeles area continued Friday morning, destroying at least 10,000 structures and causing estimated fire damage over $150 billion. Meteorologists have issued warnings for “critical red flag” conditions throughout the day, signaling that fire damage to homes and businesses will broaden into the weekend.

Insurance companies are bracing for the worst-case scenario as analysts at JPMorgan said Thursday that insured losses could top $20 billion

JPM’s Jimmy Bhullar said insured loss estimates could be revised even higher “if the fires are not controlled.”

Bhullar said losses would be “confined mostly” to homeowners insurers like Allstate, Travelers, and Chubb, but noted that commercial property insurers like American International Group and Kinsale Capital Group could also be exposed.

Shares of Allstate dropped 5% in premarket trading, while Travelers fell 4%, Chubb -4%, AIG -3.5%, and Kinsale -1%.

“Do Not Panic Buy”: Officials Urge Calm As LA Fire Crisis Disrupts Main Fuel Pipeline To Las Vegas

“In an abundance of caution, due to the fires in California, the main pipeline that brings gasoline and other fuels to the Las Vegas Valley looks to face temporary disruptions in service,” the City of Las Vegas announced on X late Thursday.

The pipeline shutdown involves Kinder Morgan’s SFPP West and 566-mile CalNev pipeline system, which ships gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.
