President Obama plans to use executive order to ban the criminal checkbox

Barack Obama

The Bible teaches us to forgive our brothers. The pResident’s plan to integrate convicted criminals into government positions is not surprising. It would be easy to make a joke that the political elite are criminals themselves, laugh and walk away. Moral people do not have that luxury. Moral people have a duty to their Lord and then their country.

Obama’s Checkboxes:

  1. Destroy Christian religions by supporting abortion, homosexuality and gay marriage.
  2. Rewrite our history to transform our culture.
  3. Import Islamic terrorists.
  4. Marginalize and discredit local police.
  5. Institute a federal police state.
  6. Destroy our economy.
  7. Remove our borders.
  8. Cover up illegal activities: Fast & Furious, Benghazi, Planned Parenthood, IRS scandal, Solyndra, illegal spying on people.
  9. Impose additional taxes through forced health care.
  10. Marginalize the 2nd Amendment.

Remarks by the President on Criminal Justice Reform

Over the course of this year, I’ve been talking to people all across the country about reforming our criminal justice system to be fairer, to be smarter, to be more effective.  I’ve met with police chiefs and beat cops.  I’ve met with prisoners, corrections officers.  I’ve met with families of fallen police officers and families of children who were killed by gun violence.  I’ve met with men and women battling drug abuse, and rehab coaches, and folks working on new solutions for treatment.

And I have to tell you that from all these conversations, I have, at times, despaired about the magnitude of the problem.  I’ve asked myself, how do we break the cycle that has young children somehow on that pipeline where they end up incarcerated? And yet, what’s interesting is I’ve been really hopeful, as well, during the course of this year because what I’ve seen is that there are people across the board — folks who work inside the criminal justice system, folks who are affected by the criminal justice system — who are saying, there’s got to be a better way to do this, and are not just asking questions about how we make the system smarter and more effective but are also showing us how it’s done and are actually implementing it.

That’s why today, we’re taking two new actions to create more success stories like this.  These are actions that I can take as President through my executive authorities.

Number one, my administration is announcing new grants to help returning citizens seize that second chance through education and job training and housing and legal help and children’s services.  (Applause.)  Five cities are announcing commitments of their own to help folks re-entering society to train for high-tech jobs.  And we’re going to be partnering with them and others to try to make sure that the good work that we saw here today we can start expanding.  All right, so that’s point number one, putting some more money in the system.

Let me say it’s nowhere near what we need, but it gives us more ability to create more programs that serve as an example of best practices so it can be duplicated around the country.  That’s point number one.

Point number two, I’m taking action to “ban the box” — (applause) — for the most competitive jobs at federal agencies.

Now, the federal government is a big employer, as you know, and like a lot of big employers, on many job applications there’s a box that asks if you have a criminal record.  If you answer yes, then a lot of times you’re not getting a call back.  We’re going to do our part in changing this.  The federal government, I believe, should not use criminal history to screen out applicants before we even look at their qualifications.  We can’t dismiss people out of hand simply because of a mistake that they made in the past.

SouthernPrepper1: Scenario video…Looting vs Salvaging…We go into the city for needed parts.

Three months after the collapse limited power is only available in the cities that are under the control of the government. People in the country are cut off from support and supplies. Only areas of the country that will give up the Bill of Rights and turn in their firearms will get support. This support that comes from the government and its corrupt supporters is not enough to sustain even a basic existence. People are banding together in groups some good and some bad. It is always not so clear who are the good guys and who are the bad guys.

What Happened in Kunduz?

On October 3, the U.S. bombed a hospital run by Doctors Without Borders, (MSF), the Nobel Peace Prize-winning humanitarian group, in Kunduz, Afghanistan, killing at least 30 people. In the aftermath of the bombing, MSF called for a never-before-used mechanism of the Geneva Conventions to investigate the strike, and General John Campbell, the senior-most U.S. commander in Afghanistan, said the “hospital was mistakenly struck”—an apparent evolution of the U.S. position on what happened that day in Kunduz.

The bombing came amid the backdrop of the Taliban’s capture—since reversed—of Kunduz. It was the Taliban’s biggest prize since the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan ousted the militant group from power. The fighting was bloody and the civilian toll high. Many of the injured—civilian, Afghan military, and Taliban—were treated at MSF’s Kunduz hospital.

At a news conference in Kabul on Thursday, Christopher Stokes, MSF’s general director, said it’s “quite hard to understand and believe” the hospital was mistakenly hit. The group released an initial internal review of the strike that pointed out that U.S. and allied militaries were given the GPS coordinates of the hospital, and though Taliban members were treated at the facility, there were no weapons inside—in keeping with the organization’s rules. The report makes for chilling reading. One excerpt: “Patients burned in their beds, medical staff were decapitated and lost limbs, and others were shot by the circling AC-130 gunship while fleeing the burning building.” In its report, MSF said:

American Medical Association Code of Ethics (post- 1980)
Preamble: The medical profession has long subscribed to a body of ethical statements developed primarily for the benefit of the patient. As a member of this profession, a physician must recognize responsibility not only to patients, but also to society, to other health professionals, and to self. The following Principles adopted by the [AMA] are not laws, but standards of conduct which define the essentials of honorable behavior for the physician.

I. A physician shall deal honestly with patients and colleagues, and strive to expose those physicians deficient in character or competence, or who engage in fraud or deception.

II. A physician shall respect the law and also recognize a responsibility to seek changes in those requirements which are contrary to the best interests of the patient.

III. A physician shall respect the rights of patients, of colleagues, and of other health professionals, and shall safeguard patient confidences within the constraints of the law.

IV. A physician shall continue to study, apply and advance scientific knowledge, make relevant information available to patients, colleagues, and the public, obtain consultation, and use the talents of other health professionals when indicated.

V. A physician shall, in the provision of appropriate patient care, except in emergencies, be free to choose whom to serve, with whom to associate, and the environment in which to provide medical services.

VI. A physician shall recognize a responsibility to participate in activities contributing to an improved community.

A misleading title for this video. Most people can argue both sides of this argument. Since the Taliban in the hospital are not legally at war with the US by definition and are not in any uniform, a US physician is not required to physically treat the enemy. Conversely, any foreign doctor is not precluded from treating them. With Obama apologizing, it appears that this hospital was bombed by mistake. Time will tell if it will be considered a war crime.

Chemical weapons used by rebels in Syria

Chemical weapons experts have determined that mustard gas was used in a Syrian town where Islamic State insurgents were battling another rebel group, according to a report by an international watchdog seen by Reuters.

A confidential Oct. 29 report by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), a summary of which was shown to Reuters, concluded “with the utmost confidence that at least two people were exposed to sulfur mustard” in the town of Marea, north of Aleppo, on Aug. 21.

“It is very likely that the effects of sulfur mustard resulted in the death of a baby,” it said.

Refugee crisis, if not properly managed, could spark war in Europe, Merkel warns

German Chancellor Angela Merkel called for solidarity among European countries in handling the influx of millions of migrants from Africa and the Middle East, warning that failure to properly manage the crisis could lead to war.

Speaking to members of her conservative Christian Democratic Union party on Monday in Berlin, Merkel warned that Balkan states could be plunged back into war, the first time since the 1990s, if Austria closed its border with Germany, according to various media reports.
As neighbouring countries like Hungary and Serbia erect barriers to stem the flow of migrants, with Slovenia also planning to do the same, Merkel said such action would only “lead to a backlash,” the Daily Express reported.

Strange. I thought the whole point of manipulating the Muslim invasion of the Western countries was to ignite a civil war as an excuse to institute martial law. So the powers that be are properly managing these “immigrants”.

America 2.0

by Robert Gore

Let’s assume everything collapses. The skyscraper of cards tumbles; parasitic, unsustainable governments fail; chaos reigns. For all its flaws, living today, especially for those of us in the more advanced economies, is a lot easier than during any prior time. As late as 1900 US life expectancy was less than fifty years. However, there are reasons to root for collapse; it would present a huge opportunity to keep the good parts of the present age and build upon them, while at the same time changing the things that will have been manifestly responsible for the collapse, i.e., the incompetence and corruption of governments. However, to avail ourselves of the opportunities, it is necessary to consider what will replace that which has failed. SLL will kick off the process with a few modest proposals.

Freedom: The lodestar of what emerges must be individual freedom. History’s greatest quandary has been how to secure the fruits of production—essential to the survival of the producer and the species—to those who produce it. Government started as a protection racket; some production was diverted to it in exchange for safety from theft and violence, both internal and external. The danger of this arrangement is obvious: governments become the most rapacious criminals. How does a society protect itself and its property not just from criminals and invaders, but from its own government?

Fabricated Nonsense

christian mercenary

Travis Gettys begins his story with the title: Anti-Muslim militia warns against refugee invasion at Idaho statehouse. I say “story” because that is what it is, a story, not an article or any sort of honest reporting. It is a liberal shock story, replete with as many inaccuracies and conspiracy theories as it can pack between the lines. The title itself states that these are Anti-Muslims, unless the author suggests that all Muslims are Jihadists, the title intentionally misidentifies the purpose of the protest. The protestors were not militia, they were III Percenters. Militias are self-identified as such and make no apologies for their organizations. III Percenters might be of similar politics or ideology, but they are not militias.
The protestors were concerned with Jihadists being relocated into their communities, a consequence of misguided government, or worse, malevolent government action with the intent to stir civil unrest, the logical outcome being the perceived need for more government.

To Travis Gettys and RawStory, who apparently take their marching orders from Hatewatch, an outgrowth of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the III Percenters are not citizens interested in the integrity of US Immigration law, or the safety of their community threatened by imported Jihadists. They are described as: “about 100 anti-government activists, many wearing flak jackets and other armor, waved American flags and banners promoting their pro-gun militia group”

Hamtramck, Michigan is 1st American city to elect MUSLIM MAJORITY CITY COUNCIL

Screen Shot 2015-11-04 at 9.29.28 PM

The reporter and all of the Muslims quoted in this news report herald the diversity of America’s first Muslim majority city council, “the Hamtramck City Council is going to reflect diversity.” What’s diverse about a Muslim majority? Is the anything less diverse and more oppressive than Islamic law? What Muslim countries are diverse? Muslims won’t even let Jews pray at the most holy of Jewish sites. Muslim countries under the sharia subjugate their religious minorities.

This is not unexpected. I describe the islamization process in my book Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance.

Can you say Tower Hamlets?

Hamtramck is 1st American city to elect majority Muslim council,” By Will Jones, Local 4 Reporter, Click on Detroit, November 4, 2015
4 of 6 Hamtramck City Council members are Muslim

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – The Polish flocked to Hamtramck in the 1900s and evidence of the city’s Polish roots remain.

However, over the last few decades a new wave of immigrants, primarily from the Middle East, South Asia and Southeastern Europe, has dramatically changed the face and culture of this community.

Now, the Hamtramck City Council is going to reflect that diversity.

The Tools Collectivists Use To Gain Power

by Brandon Smith

While many divisions within our society are arbitrary or engineered, there is one division that represents perhaps the most pervasive and important conflict of our time; the division between collectivists and individualists.

Now, people who do not understand the nature of collectivism will often argue that individualism and collectivism are not mutually exclusive because individuals require groups in order to survive and thrive. However, a “group” is not necessarily a collective.

For some reason the core fundamental of collectivism – the use of psychological coercion or physical force to compel participation – goes right over the heads of many skeptics. A group does not have to be collectivist. Any group can and should be voluntary. Collectivism is NOT voluntary. Therefore, collectivism and individualism are indeed mutually exclusive. Collectivists and individualists cannot exist in the same space at the same time without eventually coming into conflict. There is simply no way around it.

From the position of the liberty minded (or the average Libertarian), collectivism is by far the inferior of the two philosophies. Collectivists often boast of the social and economic “harmonization” collectivism creates, as well as the mobilization of labor to “streamline progress.” The reality is that artificially rigged harmony is no harmony at all. If people are forced to homogenize and get along through fear, then peace has not truly been accomplished.

Collectivism and individualism cannot coexist; confrontation is inevitable. Recognizing this, and preparing for it, is our duty as free human beings.

RUSSIA TEST-FIRES SERIES OF NUCLEAR MISSILES DURING STRATEGIC DRILLS

Kalibr long-range cruise missile fired from warship Velikiy Ustyug (screenshot)

by Bill Gertz

Russian nuclear forces conducted a large-scale exercise last week that included test firings of several long-range missiles along with dual-capable shorter range ballistic and cruise missiles, according to U.S. officials.

The U.S. Strategic Command, meanwhile, is conducting a similar nuclear command and control exercise, but without firing any nuclear missiles.

The Russian exercise was closely monitored by U.S. intelligence agencies and was conducted in greater secrecy than past nuclear war games have been, according to officials and military analysts.

A U.S. defense official said the Russian war games involved firing an SS-N-18 submarine-launched ballistic missile, or SLBM, an SS-N-23 SLBM, a land-based mobile SS-25 intercontinental ballistic missile, and a new SSN-30A Kalibr long-range ship-fired missile.

“In general, the results of the drills demonstrated high combat readiness of strategic nuclear forces and high-precision long-range weapons,” said Gen. Sergey Shoigu, Russia’s defense minister, on Tuesday, according to the state-run Itar-Tass news agency.

Former Reagan Administration Official Warns That Financial Disaster Is Dead Ahead

Disaster - Public Domain

Why won’t the American people listen to the warnings?  David Stockman was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1977 to 1981, and he served as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1985.  These days, he is running a website called “Contra Corner” which I highly recommend that you check out.  Stockman believes that a global “debt super-cycle” that has been building for decades is now bursting, and he is convinced that the consequences for the U.S. and for the rest of the planet will be absolutely catastrophic.  His findings are very consistent with what I have been writing about on The Economic Collapse Blog, and if Stockman is correct the times ahead of us are going to be exceedingly painful.

But right now, most people don’t seem to be in the mood to listen to these types of warnings.  Even though there is a mountain of evidence that the global economyhas already plunged into recession, U.S. stocks had a great month in October, and so most Americans seem to think that the crisis has passed.

Of course the truth is that the stock market is not an accurate barometer of the economy and it never has been.  Back in 2008, almost everything else started to go downhill before stocks did, and the same thing is happening once again.  In a recent article, Stockman explained that stocks are surging to absolutely ridiculous levels even though corporate earnings are actually way down
