I am Thinking Sheepdog…

Sheepdog

Personal Philosophy, from a friend in the UK who has significant interest in American politics:

“Show me a selfless politician, working strictly for the common good and defending our individual rights and liberties as citizens, and I will show you a saint!

There are precious few!

The vast majority unfailingly succumb to their own petty lust for power, and the ecumenical dogma among politicians that we ‘ordinary’ citizens cannot think for ourselves. . The ‘representation’ aspect is instantly forgotten, and the people’s voice and interests soon fade into the background, while political infighting and jockeying for position take precedence.

Most don’t look upon themselves as ‘public servants,’ but rather as ‘ public parents’ They are truly paranoid, afraid of everything!

Vigilant Guard 15: Hawaii becomes Ground Zero for largest mass casualty exercise in history

Hawaii is preparing for massive casualties through the large scale exercise, Vigilant Guard 15. Complete with crisis actors, decontamination centers, and quarantine zones. In one scenario that played out, soldiers practiced treating casualties from a collapsed building as a fuel spill contaminated the area.

Using the Campbell Industrial Park as their staging ground the Hawaiian National Guard set up triage and decontaminated victims.

Vigilant Guard 15 utilized over 2,200 participants from multiple states reacting to a natural disaster and is the largest mass casualty exercise to date.

More than 700 participants traveled from Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon and Guam.

Military personnel and first responders, using Chinook and Blackhawk Helicopters, also practiced a variety of scenarios including disease outbreak and cyberattack.

Obama making bid to diversify wealthy neighborhoods

The Obama administration is moving forward with regulations designed to help diversify America’s wealthier neighborhoods, drawing fire from critics who decry the proposal as executive overreach in search of an “unrealistic utopia.”

A final Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) rule due out this month is aimed at ending decades of deep-rooted segregation around the country.

The regulations would use grant money as an incentive for communities to build affordable housing in more affluent areas while also taking steps to upgrade poorer areas with better schools, parks, libraries, grocery stores and transportation routes as part of a gentrification of those communities.

“HUD is working with communities across the country to fulfill the promise of equal opportunity for all,” a HUD spokeswoman said. “The proposed policy seeks to break down barriers to access to opportunity in communities supported by HUD funds.”

Big Pharma Revealed As Puppetmaster Behind TPP Secrecy

It is no secret that US healthcare corporations have been among, if not the biggest beneficiaries of Obamacare: by “socializing” costs and spreading the reimbursement pool over the entire population in the form of a tax, pharmaceutical companies have been able to boost medical product and service costs to unprecedented levels with the help of complicit insurance companies who have subsequently passed through these costs to the consumer, in the process sending the price of biotech and pharma stocks to levels not seen since the dot com bubble.

But when it came to the highly confidential TPP, it was unclear just which corporations were dominant in pulling the strings.

Now thanks to more documents published by Wikileaks, and analyzed by the NYT, it appears that “big pharma” is once again pulling the strings, this time of the Trans Pacific Partnership, which if passed will “empower big pharmaceutical firms to command higher reimbursement rates in the United States and abroad, at the expense of consumers” according to “public health professionals, generic-drug makers and activists opposed to the trade deal.”

In other words, just like the narrowly-passed Obamacare was a gift for big Pharma, so America’s legal drug dealers are now trying to go for another price boosting catalyst, one which however will involve not just the US but some 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Worst of all, the negotiations for the next price increase is taking place in utmost secrecy where “American negotiators are still pressing participating governments to open the process that sets reimbursement rates for drugs and medical devices.”

As RT notes, the latest disclosure links the Healthcare Annex to the secret draft of the quite aptly-named “Transparency” Chapter of the TPP, along with each country’s negotiating position. The leaked “Annex on transparency and procedural fairness for pharmaceutical products and medical devices” is dated from December 2014, with the draft being restricted from release for four years after the passage of the TPP into law.

Thousands of US paratroops head for Iraq. Tehran braces for onset of ISIS terror attacks on cities

The United States this week began transferring to Iraq and Gulf bases elite units of the US 82nd Airborne Division. DEBKAfile’s military sources report that the first batch of 500 officers and men will be deployed in Baghdad and the Kurdish republic’s capital of Irbil, followed by another 500 in July and 250 in December. Altogether, by the end of 2015, the US will have posted another 1,250 officers and men to augment the American force already present at a base ner Habbaniya in the western Iraqi Anbar province. This force, roughly the same size as the incoming contingents, came from the US 3rd Division’s Combat Team which set up the base six months ago to train Iraqi troops to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – ISIS.

By the end of the year, therefore, the number of US troops on the ground in Iraq will rise to several thousand. Our military sources define their mission as being to intensify raids on ISIS commanders, command centers and bases and striking columns on the move. Their operations will draw on the successful attack mounted by DELTA commandos on May 16 in the heart of the Islamist stronghold in eastern Syria. The group’s chief of finances was killed in that raid and, according to American sources, the troops carried off a rich intelligence trove of digital and telephone data on the Islamist State’s tactics and structure.

The 82nd division has abundant experience of combat in the Iraqi arena. Between the 2003 US invasion and up until 2009, its members fought in critical engagements, especially in Anbar province, which ISIS has made the its main depot for large military concentrations and a launching pad for attacks across Iraq.

The figure of 3,000 American soldiers in Iraq understates the case by far. A much larger pool of combat forces is available close at hand for inserting into the cycle of war on ISIS.

TREASON: The Secret Immigration Chapter in Obama’s Trade Agreement

1-130PZS325

Discovered inside the huge tranche of secretive Obamatrade documents released by Wikileaks are key details on how technically any Republican voting for Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) that would fast-track trade deals like the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal would technically also be voting to massively expand President Obama’s executive authority when it comes to immigration matters.

The mainstream media covered the Wikileaks document dump extensively, but did not mention the immigration chapter contained within it, so Breitbart News took the documents to immigration experts to get their take on it. Nobody has figured how big a deal the documents uncovered by Wikileaks are until now. (See below)

The president’s Trade in Services Act (TiSA) documents, which is one of the three different close-to-completely-negotiated deals that would be fast-tracked making up the president’s trade agreement, show Obamatrade in fact unilaterally alters current U.S. immigration law. TiSA, like TPP or the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) deals, are international trade agreements that President Obama is trying to force through to final approval. The way he can do so is by getting Congress to give him fast-track authority through TPA.

TiSA is even more secretive than TPP. Lawmakers on Capitol Hill can review the text of TPP in a secret, secured room inside the Capitol—and in some cases can bring staffers who have high enough security clearances—but with TiSA, no such draft text is available.

Voting for TPA, of course, would essentially ensure the final passage of each TPP, T-TIP, and TiSA by Congress, since in the history of fast-track any deal that’s ever started on fast-track has been approved.

7 Homosexual U.S. Ambassadors: Trade Deals Should Advance LGBTI Rights

Six openly gay U.S. ambassadors meet in Washington in March 2015. They are, from left, Ambassador to Australia John Berry, Ambassador to the Dominican Republic James Brewster, Ambassador to Denmark Rufus Gifford, Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Daniel Baer, Ambassador to Spain James Costos, and Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius (Photo: Blake Bergen/Gays and Lesbians in Foreign Affairs Agencies)

International free-trade agreements like those being negotiated with countries in the Pacific and Europe should help to export American values such as human rights, including for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people, according to seven openly homosexual U.S. ambassadors.

The seven, joined by the State Department’s first “special envoy for LGBTI persons,” Randy Berry, signed a joint letter published Tuesday in the national gay and lesbian news magazine The Advocate, and re-posted by the White House.

“Through the President’s trade agenda, we will not only support more American jobs, but we can also promote greater justice beyond our borders,” they wrote.

“We are committed to working closely with the White House to ensure that any trade arrangement approved by Congress is a force for progress on human rights for everyone, including for LGBTI persons.”

US Will Send 400 More Troops To Iraq Bringing Total To 3,500; Open New Military Base

As reported yesterday, in the latest escalation of the “war on ISIS”, Obama – winner of the Nobel peace prize for pulling US soldiers out of Iraq – was said to be sending even more US soldiers, pardon military advisors, to Iraq to halt the inexplicable, constant expansion of ISIS, now deep in Syrian territory. Earlier today, this was confirmed when Reuters reported that, as expected, the US will announce on Wednesday plans for a new military base in Iraq’s Anbar province and the deployment of around 400 additional U.S. trainers to help Iraqi forces in the fight against Islamic State, citing an unnamed U.S. official.

From Reuters:

The plan would expand the 3,100-strong U.S. contingent of trainers and advisers in Iraq and would mark an adjustment in strategy for President Barack Obama, who is facing mounting criticism for not being tougher in combating Islamic State.

U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, expressed hope that even a modestly strengthened U.S. presence could help Iraqi forces plan and carry out a counter-attack to retake Anbar’s capital Ramadi, which insurgents seized last month….

The expected troop announcement was unlikely to silence Obama’s critics, who say the modest contingent of U.S. forces is far from enough to turn the tide of battle.

In an administration in which the aptly named US Freedom Act does precisely the opposite of what its name suggests, it was good to see that the semantic games continue: as Reuters further notes, “Obama was expected to stick to his stance against sending U.S. troops into combat or even close to the front lines, officials said.” And yet, he is doing just that.

Teenage girls abducted by ISIS fighters in Iraq and Syria are being sold in slave markets “for as little as a pack of cigarettes”, the U.N. envoy on sexual violence said on Monday.Zainab Bangura visited Iraq and Syria in April, and has since been working on an action plan to address the horrific sexual violence being waged by ISIS fighters.

“This is a war that is being fought on the bodies of women,” Bangura said.

The U.N. envoy spoke to women and girls who had escaped from captivity in ISIS-controlled areas, met with local religious and political leaders and visited refugees in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan.

The militants continued to run slave markets for girls abducted during fresh offensives, but there were no figures on the numbers enslaved by the fighters, she said.

“They kidnap and abduct women when they take areas so they have – I don’t want to call it a fresh supply – but they have new girls,” she said.

Girls are sold for “as little as a pack of cigarettes” or for several hundred or thousand dollars, she said.

Contact House Speaker Moore- Stop H328 -Licenses for illegals

As you may or may not know, the NC House Finance Committee passed H328 (Licenses for Illegals) bill on Tuesday morning. The next step is for a full vote on the House floor UNLESS we use our influence on House Speaker Tim Moore.

The House floor vote could come at any time; tomorrow, in two days or next week- with very little notice!

We have one more chance to stop this bad bill before it is approved and sent to the NC Senate.

Please take two minutes and contact Speaker Moore using the talking points below (or your own message) at Tim.Moore@ncleg.net

Speaker Moore,

Rather than provide licenses to illegal aliens, we need to substantially increase penalties for driving without a license and enforce the law.

Please use your position and influence to stop H328 on the House Floor.

The NC Civitas May, 2015 poll shows 76% of all North Carolina voters oppose driving privileges for illegal immigrants.

Granting Driver’s Licenses to Illegal Aliens Poses National Security Risks. Unlike legal immigrants, illegal aliens are not subject to any background checks or face-to-face interviews to determine the existence of any national security threat that they might pose. HB 328 helps these national security threats to assimilate into our communities.

Granting Driver’s Licenses to Illegal Aliens Encourages More Illegal Immigration. A driver’s license is a state benefit. Providing public benefits to illegal aliens only rewards illegal behavior and invites further illegal immigration. Illegal immigration results in higher costs of living, reduced job availability, lower wages, higher crime rates, fiscal hardship on hospitals and substandard quality of care for residents. It also adds burdens on public services increasing their costs and diminishing their availability.

Granting Driver’s Licenses to Illegal Aliens Does Not Mean Safer Roads or More Insured Drivers. Granting driver’s licenses to illegal aliens in no way guarantees safer roads or that illegal aliens will purchase auto insurance. New Mexico, who grants driver’s licenses to illegal aliens, is also home to the nation’s second highest percentage of uninsured drivers. There is no reason to think that illegal aliens, having disregarded so many other laws, would obey this one, nor have the cash available or incentive to acquire auto insurance.
