OBAMA RIPS FOX: ‘WE’RE GOING TO HAVE TO CHANGE HOW THE MEDIA REPORTS’

Screenshot

For going on seven years we have learned three things about President Obama: 1) He loves the poor so much he continues to create more of them. 2) He loves the poor so much he does everything in his power to keep them poor. 3) He doesn’t see the opposition as loyal, but as bad players — his enemy. This is especially true of Fox News, which Obama ripped as anti-poor bigots during a Wednesday afternoon summit on poverty.

We’re used to this Obama, the forever-partisan who has never seen himself as president of all the people but only of those who worship him.

What was most revealing about the president’s comments was his expressed desire to “change how the media reports.”

Speaking of Fox News, the poor, and the way GOP leaders think, Obama said, [W]e’re going to have to change how our body politic thinks, which means we’re going to have to change how the media reports on these issues.”

GRNC Alert 05-13-15 H562: ARE REPUBLICANS KNUCKLING UNDER TO BLOOMBERG?

Earlier today House Bill 562 was scheduled to be passed through the Rules Committee, and then debated tomorrow on the House floor.

Unfortunately, it seems that Speaker Moore and other Republicans have gone weak-kneed, and have given in to House Democrats’ request to slow the pace on such a “controversial topic.” (Are the Republicans knuckling under to Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun pressure groups?)
ENOUGH! There is nothing controversial about ending Jim-Crow era (read: racist) gun control measures, which can’t happen fast enough; preventing firearm interrogations from occurring during your annual physical; and moving to a standard national background system that even the liberal State of New-York agrees to be sufficient, along with 35 other states and territories.

Obama Admin Apologizes to U.N. for American Cops

The Obama administration apologized Monday to the United Nation’s Human Rights Council for American law enforcement personnel whom it described as “willfully us[ing] excessive force,” at times with racist motivation. In its defense of its handling of the issue, the administration touts prosecuting over 400 law-enforcement officials and committing itself to take down those found guilty in the future.

The Associated Press reports that the U.N. human rights council—which includes dozens of countries with deplorable human rights records—voiced “widespread concern” about unjust practices by American police. The Obama administration responded by vowing to “rededicate” itself to ensuring that “our civil-rights laws live up to their promise” and touting its punishment of out-of-control personnel:

The Greatest Water Crisis In The History Of The United States

US Drought Monitor May 5 2015

What are we going to do once all the water is gone?  Thanks to the worst drought in more than 1,000 years, the western third of the country is facing the greatest water crisis that the United States has ever seen.  Lake Mead is now the lowest that it has ever been since the Hoover Dam was finished in the 1930s, mandatory water restrictions have already been implemented in the state of California, and there are already widespread reports of people stealing water in some of the worst hit areas.  But this is just the beginning.  Right now, in a desperate attempt to maintain somewhat “normal” levels of activity, water is being pumped out of the ground in the western half of the nation at an absolutely staggering pace.  Once that irreplaceable groundwater is gone, that is when the real crisis will begin.  If this multi-year drought stretches on and becomes the “megadrought” that a lot of scientists are now warning about, life as we know it in much of the country is going to be fundamentally transformed and millions of Americans may be forced to find somewhere else to live.

Simply put, this is not a normal drought.  What the western half of the nation is experiencing right now is highly unusual.  In fact, scientists tell us that California has not seen anything quite like this in at least 1,200 years

New Evidence Suggests A Pole Shift Is Occurring On Earth

Is a reversal of the earth’s magnetic poles taking place? Volcanoes, earthquakes, strange noises from the sea. New shocking evidence points to a pole shift which, if it happens fast, will cause chaos around the world.

A pole reversal, when the earth’s north and south magnetic poles start to swap places, reversing the world’s magnetic polarity, has happened before.

Scientists who track the history of the planet have identified 74 of these events by studying core samples. These are extracted from hundreds or thousands of feet down in the ground and in the thick polar ice.

A sudden shift would throw the earth’s balance out so significantly it could trigger lethal earthquakes, tsunami on a scale we can hardly imagine capable of washing right across the United States and every other major landmass, volcanic eruptions so large and widespread that the resulting ash clouds and gases could blanket the sun’s rays and trigger a new sudden ice-age.

American Cops Are More Heavily Armed than Front Line U.S. Combat Soldiers In Active War Zones

Rafael Rivera – who served in the U.S. Army for seven years – writes:

The police in Ferguson have better armor and weaponry than my men and I did in the middle of a war. And Ferguson isn’t alone — police departments across the US are armed for war.

The Hill notes:

[Senator] McCaskill pointed out that in some places local police departments are more heavily armed than the National Guard.

Business Insider points out:

Someone identifying himself as an 82nd Airborne Army veteran, observing the Ferguson police scene, comment[ed] that “We rolled lighter than that in an actual warzone

Constitutional and civil rights lawyer John Whitehead notes that homeland security officers within the U.S. have three times as much ammunition as front-line soldiers in Afghanistan (and possess a type of ammunition that is banned in war zones).

American Exceptionalism

christian mercenary
There is a valid case to be made for American Exceptionalism.  In the international industrial community, which is where I have been these many months, it is understood that it takes several men of other nations to do the work Americans do every day.  This is not due to physical strength or intelligence, it is due to the work ethic bred into us by a pioneering instinct, it is an understanding that it will take a lot of work to make something out of nothing and we have the will and the persistence to get it done.  In other nations the caste system tells people who they will be from the moment of their birth, until the day of their death.  With that knowledge they lack inspiration, lack motivation and lack the individual vigor to take great feats upon themselves.  It is somewhat the same structure we abandoned when we broke from Great Britain.
Being an American is special, less so today because of our leadership, Democratic and Republican.  In fact, the flaws that present themselves in our government did not arise out of the people, who were often too busy managing their own affairs to care much about what went on in Philadelphia and later Washington. But it was the mismanagement of the politicians, their thirst for power and their desire for influence that broke the American system.  From the moment of its inception the Constitution was being undermined by those who saw in it a way to greater stature and power, ever controlling more and more of their own spheres until they encroached on everyone else’s.

No One Is Going to Jail For You – Part 1

A little change of pace for this next post. I want to talk about one of our fallen moderators Libertas.

It has finally been confirmed, what we all were hoping for that Libertas, one of the 3 arrested moderators was released on bail recently according to an article.

http://techcrunch.com/2014/01/07/the-silk-roads-libertas-is-free-to-the-annoyance-of-us-authorities/

“The Silk Road moderator Gary Davis, aka Libertas, is officially free on bail and awaiting an extradition hearing on February 13. The FBI flew to Ireland that night for the express purpose of taking Davis into custody and interrogating him in Ireland, with regard to his position and functions “being a moderator on a website allowing transactions to facilitate the sale of drugs online.”

So as you can see, just because Libertas was a moderator on the site, he is being charged with allowing transactions to faciliate sales of drugs. He is basically being charged as a drug dealer.

European banks as vulnerable now as before crash

Date:May 11, 2015

Source:University of Portsmouth

Summary:European banks are as vulnerable to failing today as they were in the run-up to the 2008 global economic crash and subsequent recession, new research has found. In the first study to compare sources of systemic risk in European banks, economists found banks in southern countries, including France, Spain and Italy, are highly vulnerable to failure. Banks in northern countries appear to be more resilient.
