“Purge” Night 3: Protests Spread To NYC

Is the so-called “purge” spreading? Hundreds have now gathered in Union Square in New York in a show of solidarity with the protesters in Baltimore who have demanded justice for the death of Freddie Gray. More from NBC:

Organizers had urged various activist groups to rally at Union Square “to show the people of Baltimore that we stand in solidarity with them and with their resistance because their resistance is for justice and their justice is our justice,” according to one press release.

The demonstrations were being held simultaneously as the ones in Baltimore, which were mostly peaceful compared to the violent rioting that rocked the city the day of

Gray’s funeral Monday…

Texas Governor Calls Up State Guard To Counter Jade Helm “Federal Invasion” Fears

So essentially, from July 15 to September 15 some military personnel are going to take a trip out west and pretend like they are conducting covert operations overseas. Doesn’t sound too exciting — but that’s just the press release. The devil, as they say, is always in the details which is why we took some time to look over the Jade Helm presentation (embedded below) to see if we could discern more about the drills. Here are some highlights we found interesting/humorous.

First, there’s the rather amusing state classification map wherein Texas and Utah are deemed “hostile” and where New Mexico is “leaning hostile.” California is “permissive” (we suppose this means the populace has resigned itself to what was probably, were this real, a unilateral invasion by the US military), but unfortunately, there appears to be an insurgency brewing in San Diego.

Next is the section entitled “Why Texas?” wherein the US Army Special Operations Command first explains how patriotic Texans generally are, then hilariously proceeds to suggest (in as polite a manner as possible) that the Lone Star state

1) resembles the type of desert wasteland soldiers might expect to encounter in a modern overseas conflict,

2) is just underdeveloped enough in many areas to give trainees an idea of what it might be like to be operating undercover in a hostile Middle Eastern country,

3) is home to the type of xenophobia which will make the locals approximately as skeptical of “outsiders” as the inhabitants of an occupied country might be but who are at the same time just gullible enough to be tricked into trusting the “invaders,” and best of all

4) is home to social and economic conditions that any normal American would consider “unfamiliar.” Here are some excerpts:

Debate: God vs. Hillary Clinton

The choice is clear. Evil has taken control of our nation and it is up to us to take it back. Our forefathers knew this would be a difficult path but they also knew that they would only succeed with the help of God. Once we realize this fundamental truth, good will rise up out of the shadows to fight.

Choose carefully: you eternal salvation depends upon it.

Biggest Inventory Build In History Prevents Total Collapse Of The US Economy

While we already observed that in Q1, US GDP rose by an appalling 0.2%, far, far below the consensus Wall Street estimate (in case you missed it, here again is the one thing every Wall Street economist desperately needs) and precisely in line with the Atlanta Fed forecast which we brought attention to in early March, confirming yet again that US stocks no longer reflect any fundamentals but merely Fed and global liquidity injections, there is something far more disturbing under the surface of today’s GDP report.

Inventories.

Specifically, the $121.9 billion increase in private, mostly nonfarm, inventories in the first quarter.

Cutting to the punchline, this was the biggest inventory build in history.

How Did Freddie Gray Die?

This is the face of Baltimore today:

The question that is being ignored is how did Freddie Gray die?

Notice that I did not ask why was he arrested? Or is his death being used by the administration as not leaving a crisis going to waste? Both are valid questions that should be answered. So why is how he died important?

Baltimore mayor apologizes to rioters for using T-word

On Tuesday, the mayor again walked back from her previous comments.

“I wanted to say something that was on my heart … We don’t have thugs in Baltimore. Sometimes my little anger interpreter gets the best of me,” she said, pointing to her head. “We have a lot of kids that are acting out, a lot of people in our community that are acting out.”

According to Red Flag News, Huffington Post, CBS News and a host of other news sites, the word “thug” is, in the eyes of leftists, the new code word for the “N” word.

In Every City In America There Are People Ready To Riot, Loot And Set Things On Fire

Baltimore Riot - YouTube ScreenshotThe city of Baltimore has been transformed into an “absolute war zone“, and the governor of Maryland has declared a state of emergency as the rioting in “Charm City” continues to escalate.  The funeral for Freddie Gray has unleashed a firestorm of violence, and none of it is going to do anyone any good.  To their credit, some of the leaders of the African-American community are standing up and loudly condemning the violence.  They know that smashing cars, throwing rocks at police and looting stores is not going to solve anything.  But just like we saw in Ferguson, there are lots of people out there that are ready to riot, loot and set things on fire at the drop of a hat – all they need is an opportunity.  The social decay that has been eating away at the foundations of our society for generations is now manifesting in some very ugly ways.  We have raised an entire generation of young people in a “value free” environment, and now we are getting to experience some of the consequences of our foolishness.  And what we are witnessing in Baltimore right now is just the start.  Eventually, we are going to see scenes like this all over the nation.

Thanks to social media, the violence that we saw in Baltimore on Monday is being broadcast to the entire planet.  The whole world is getting a really good look at what the decline of America looks like.  The following is how the New York Times described what took place…

Iran fires at, boards Marshall Islands cargo ship; U.S. sending defense

Iranian troops boarded a cargo vessel early Tuesday morning after firing shots at the ship, prompting the U.S. to send assets to the ship’s defense.

The Pentagon said at least five Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy patrol vessels approached the Marshall Islands-flagged Maersk Tigris cargo ship at 4 a.m. eastern time as it was transiting the Straight of Hormuz and directed the ship to proceed further into Iranian waters.

When the ship’s master declined, the Iranian ship fired shots across the bridge of the cargo vessel, Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren said. After shots were fired, the ship proceeded into Iranian waters near the vicinity of Larak Island. It was boarded by members of the Iranian coast guard and is now being held in Iranian waters with about 30 people aboard.

Col. Warren called it “inappropriate” for Iran to fire shots at the cargo ship.

The Marshall Islands gained independence from the United States in 1986, but the U.S. continues to have “full authority and responsibility for security and defense of the Marshall Islands,” according to the State Department’s website.

What is “Federalism”?

I’ll explain it:  With our Constitution, we created a federal  FORM of government:  A federation of Sovereign States united together ONLY for those limited purposes enumerated in the Constitution, with all other powers reserved by The States or The People.

This one page chart illustrates the federal FORM of the government created by the Constitution – and lists most of the enumerated powers delegated to the national government.  As you see from the chart, it is a short list:  depending on how you count, we delegated only 18 -21 powers to the national part of the “federal” government.  https://publiushuldah.files.wordpress.com/2013/08/chart-showing-federal-structure-3-1-part-a2.pdf

This is important.

Mother beats son for participating in Baltimore riots

Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts even acknowledged the mother’s actions during a press conference early Tuesday morning.

“And if you saw in one scene, you had one a mother who grabbed their child who had a hood on his head and she started smacking him on the head because she was so embarrassed. I wish I had more parents who took charge of their kids tonight,” Batts said.

If she was white, the police would be calling social services for child abuse instead of praising her actions. While I do not disagree with her discipline, where was she while this child was being raised. I apologize for her language in the video: she certainly would not.

House Bill to Seek U.S. Military Response to Russian Treaty Violation

The House Armed Services Committee approved legislation last week that would require the Pentagon to deploy new weapons in two years to counter Russia’s violation of the 1987 Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty.

The fiscal 2016 defense authorization bill considered by the committee last week contains language that directs the president, secretary of defense, and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to evaluate and develop new U.S. and allied weapons in response to Russia’s failure to explain its new intermediate-range cruise missile.

The legislation, contained in the $604.2 billion authorization bill, states that the U.S. government has been negotiating with Russia since 2013 on the violation and to date “the Russian Federation has failed to respond to these efforts in any meaningful way.”

“For years, we’ve been urging the Obama administration to get serious about Russia’s violation of the INF treaty,” said Rep. Mike Rogers (R., Ala.), chairman of the subcommittee on strategic forces.
