American Flag Ban Vetoed by UC Irvine Campus Leaders

A University of California Irvine student executive cabinet on Saturday vetoed a resolution banning the American flag from the lobby of the student government offices, KNBC-TV reported, noting a post on the school’s website.

The post called the resolution enacted by undergraduate members of the legislative council earlier this week “misguided legislation”; in addition the post said it wasn’t endorsed by campus leadership or the University of California, KNBC reported.

ISIS Razes The City Of Nimrod Where The Tower Of Babel Was Believed To Have Been Built

Several sources from the Middle East revealed that The Iraqi Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced that ISIS is deliberately bulldozing the ancient Assyrian city of Nimrod in the north of the country Thursday, after nearly a week of publishing a video showing the effects of the destruction in the city of Mosul.

The ministry said the extremist organization has today, “assaulted the city of Nimrud archaeological site and razed by heavy military vehicles,” in a statement posted on the official page of the Department of Media Relations.

Community Security Strategies & COIN Success on the Tactical Level

Guerrillamerica

The more we think about post-SHTF threats to our communities, the more concerned we become about the local police state and gang/tribal warfare.  Tribal conflict arises around the world in places where the previous governing bodies vacate or simply lack authority.  This power vacuum is a marquee enabler of every swinging-Richard who thinks things should be run his way.

Warlordism during peacetime is called politics.  So it’s not irrational to expect warlordism to arise in communities where previous governance lacks authority or control, as political warlordism devolves into armed conflict.

And that’s why I so strongly favor counterinsurgency (COIN) as a model for community security.  Legitimacy and authority come from the consent of the governed.  Consent can be gained when the populace is baited with desired outcomes, or it can be gained through intimidation.  Most third-world warlords rule by the stick (as opposed to the carrot); it’s through coercion that consent is gained.  Anyone who’s served in Iraq or Afghanistan knows that coercion against one’s will breeds contempt and resentment, and so COIN presents us a way to capitalize on those feelings.  COIN provides us a community-centric approach to overthrowing (or preventing) coercive warlords.

Carter Malkasian is the author of several books, one of which I’m reading right now (Counterinsurgency in Modern Warfare).  In an interview with Small Wars Journal, Carter says the following of COIN in Afghanistan:

Michigan Town council passes sharia resolution against ‘islamophobia’ – Blames North Carolina

taylor council

The Michigan Taylor City Council unanimously approved a resolution Tuesday that supports a campaign against sharia under the guise of “hate based on religion.” Islamic supremacism as law. Jihadists are conducting a genocide against Christians across the world and US politicians are passing resolutions prohibiting criticism of genocide, gender apartheid, creed apartheid, misogyny and Islamic Jew-hatred.

Islamic supremacists are embedding themselves in school boards, town councils, etc., to impose Islam on secular American society. Embedded Muslims and their well-paid stooges in local governments are passing resolutions to impose the sharia — to prohibit criticism of Islam and jihad.

Former State Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who formerly represented southwest Detroit, Ecorse and River Rouge, said the campaign was borne out of a number of recent hate crimes, including the murder of three young Muslims in Chapel Hill, N.C.

So Michigan is passing a resolution to support sharia instead of the Constitution based on the murder of three Muslims in Chapel Hill. If three Christians are murdered, can we use that as an excuse to support the Constitution? How many people died in 911 that were Christians? And that was a religious attack.

Dems vow to protect Boehner from conservative coup

Tea Party Republicans contemplating a bid to oust Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) shouldn’t count on Democrats to help them unseat the Speaker.

And without their support, there is no chance to topple Boehner in this Congress.

A number of right-wing Republicans, long-wary of Boehner’s commitment to GOP efforts attacking President Obama’s policy priorities, have openly considered a coup in an attempt to transfer the gavel into more conservative hands.

But Democrats from across an ideological spectrum say they’d rather see Boehner remain atop the House than replace him with a more conservative Speaker who would almost certainly be less willing to reach across the aisle in search of compromise. Replacing him with a Tea Party Speaker, they say, would only bring the legislative process — already limping along — to a screeching halt.

“I’d probably vote for Boehner [because] who the hell is going to replace him? [Ted] Yoho?,” Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.) said Wednesday, referencing the Florida Tea Party Republican who’s fought Boehner on a host of bipartisan compromise bills.

An Execution Of A Terrified 11 Year Old Child Carried Out By The Obama Backed Militias In Iraq

A leaked video by fighters from the so-called Iraqi militia executed an 11 year old boy with bursts of bullets on his head in Diyala province in Iraq. Shoebat.com was able to obtain the footage showing a child in handcuffs being brutally beaten while surrounded by a group of Iranian backed Iraqi fighters, then executed the child with showers of bullets on the head.

I cannot verify the assertions that the Iraqi militia executed this boy. What I do know is that either Iranian led forces or ISIS is responsible. I also know that our country would never negotiate with terrorists in the past. Another transformation by the pResident.

Israeli General: Iranian Officers Have Taken Over Battle Against Syrian Rebels

Iranian officers who lead Shiite volunteers from Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan have taken over the battle against rebels in southern Syria, within six miles of the Golan border, according to a reserve Israeli army general.

Gen. (res.) Israel Ziv, who led counter-terrorism efforts for the Israeli General Staff, wrote in Yediot Achronot Thursday that ten thousand volunteers have been flown in by Tehran to bolster the flagging efforts of the regular Syrian army and their Hezbollah allies from Lebanon in meeting an offensive by Sunni rebels pushing towards Damascus from near the Jordanian border.

“Iran is taking over the reins in Syria,” said Ziv. Members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stay close to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on the grounds that he needs protection, he said. “In fact, no military decision [in Syria] is made without [the IRGC].” He described Assad as “a puppet looking out at his lost land.”

The presence of Iranian advisers in Syria and Lebanon in recent years is well known but Ziv writes that there is now an entirely new dimension with Iranian officers leading combat troops within six miles of the Golan Heights, captured by Israel in the Six Day War. There has thus far been no direct clash with Israeli troops, but an Iranian general and five other Iranian military personnel, as well as six Hezbollah militiamen, were killed when an Israeli aircraft attacked vehicles reconnoitering the Golan border in January.
