One of my favorite things about Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield/Community (IPB/IPC) is learning more about where I live.  Many people point out that now is the time to collect information, when information is so freely available.  We don’t yet know what Net Neutrality will do to the internet (although we have some good ideas), we don’t know that the sources of information we take for granted will be allowed to continue in their current forms, and we don’t know how a collapse-style event, even just a regional one, will affect the rest of us and our ability to collect relevant and timely intelligence information.

We as Intelligence Analysts are called to be subject matter experts.  In short, we should want Information Dominance.  In all my classes, I teach that information is a conflict currency.  In conflict, the more we know, the wealthier and better off we are.  We don’t want to live in poverty; while most Americans are dependent on the state-sponsored socialist message (information welfare) about on-going conflict (post-SHTF), we want to be the information capitalists.  That includes the accumulation of as much intelligence information as possible right now.  Don’t be on information welfare when the SHTF events/conditions arrive.

US Sends Over 100 US Tanks, Armor To Latvia As Nuland “Confirms” Russia Delivering Weapons

No lesser trustworthy character than Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland explained this morning that the US can “confirm” new Russian weapons delivery to Ukraine and that they “can tell” when Russia sends in new weapons (though offering no explanation of this statement). This comment to the Senate Committee comes a day after the US delivered ‘lethal aid’ to Latvia – 120 armored units (including tanks) – with US Army General John O’Conner who witnessed the tanks arriving on Latvian soil said,“Freedom must be fought for, freedom must be defended.” And finally, one more shot in the eye of the germans, deputy under-secretary of Defense Brian McKeon said the US is “actively considering more weapons for Ukraine,” seemingly implying they alreadt sent some?

ATF shelves bullet ban proposal

The Obama administration is pulling back a controversial proposal to ban a form of armor-piercing ammunition commonly used in AR-15 hunting rifles.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) said it will not seek to issue a final framework for the rule “at this time” after receiving more than 80,000 comments on the proposal, the “vast majority” of which were negative.

“You spoke, we listened,” the ATF tweeted.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) and other gun-rights groups assailed the proposal, and were joined by Republicans in demanding that it be withdrawn.

Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said he is “pleased that the Obama administration has abandoned its attack on the Second Amendment.”

“It is entirely inappropriate for President Obama to stretch his regulatory authority to implement partisan policies that Congress has refused to enact. Such an abuse of power would impact many law-abiding gun owners and restrict the American people’s ability to legally and responsibly exercise their Second Amendment rights,” Goodlatte said in a statement.

Senators:

Senate Bill 78 seeks to lift permit restrictions on the carry of concealed weapons for correctional officers, but not to other peaceful men. Another bill may soon be introduced that would permit legislators and staff to carry handguns in legislative buildings.

It is immoral to create two classes of gun ownership: the politically connected class, and the common class; the common class, of course living under more restrictive rules. Right to defense of self – any tool, any place, any time – applies to everyone. Doctors and nurses as well as politicians. Stay-at-home moms and correctional officers alike.

If rules regarding concealed carry in North Carolina are to be lifted or relaxed, I insist this be done for all people, not just those with political affiliation. We were all created equal, and we all possess the same rights. Do not make some “more equal” than others, Mr Orwell.

I will continue to monitor this important issue via alerts from Grass Roots North Carolina.

The Lawlessness Continues

If you’ve been following the national news:

  1. You poor soul;
  2. You know how bad things are getting.

Obama is now planning to raise taxes by executive order. He’s already spent federal funds without Congressional authorization. It’s odds-on that he’ll refuse to abide by a federal court ruling that his amnesty for illegal immigrants is unconstitutional. Given all that, should the Supreme Court strike down ObamaCare, what would you expect him to do? Meekly comply?

For that matter, what do you expect Congress – now full of Republicans – to do about Obama’s noncompliance with the explicit terms of the Constitution? Will it fight for its prerogatives and the rule of law, or will it content itself with approximately what it’s done so far – i.e., nothing at all?

The Obama Administration has arrogated all power to itself. It recognizes no requirement to secure legislative authorization for its actions. It deems the courts’ rulings to be no better than advisories. Indeed, it concedes no constraints of any sort.

How do you like living in a dictatorship, Gentle Reader?

Report: Jordanian Pilot Burned by IS Downed by Friendly Fire

The Jordanian fighter pilot burned to death by Islamic State militants in Syria two months ago was not shot down by anti-aircraft fire, Yediot Achronot reported Sunday, but by a missile mistakenly fired by United Arab Emirates warplanes flying cover.

Commanding the UAE flight was the first and only female combat pilot, Major Mariam al-Mansouri, who was grounded after the incident.

Smadar Peri, an Israeli reporter with extensive contacts in Jordan, attributed the story to Safi al-Kasabeh, father of the downed pilot, Moaz al-Kasabeh. A day after being briefed on the incident by the Jordanian chief of staff, she wrote, the father told local reporters, “Moaz was downed by friendly fire”. The father noted that the four Jordanian F-16s participating in the attack on Raqqa, the Islamic State’s de facto capital in northern Syria, were part of a formation that included UAE warplanes, and that Maj. Mansouri was in overall command.

It Is Time to Sell Your Cloak

The Cloak and the Sword are given to us by our Lord as a pivotal point for our understanding; how we must make both a spiritual and physical change about ourselves to be properly prepared to engage in in a Just war against evil. Breaking News: Spartanburg, South Carolina targeted to be colonized as next refugee ‘seed’ community

I was just informed that some parts of the Spartanburg area are represented by Rep. Trey Gowdy.  All readers should know that Gowdy is the Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security that has jurisdiction over the Refugee Resettlement program and should know the threat this resettlement poses for his district!

Editors note:  In my previous post I said our next two posts would be about how far along the Obama Task Force on New Americans “integration” (aka seeding) plan is in a couple of cities that are overloaded with refugees, however, reader Robin spotted this news which is more pressing at the moment!  Spartanburg beware!  South Carolina beware!

Over the years, we have noticed that South Carolina has pretty much stayed out of the top tier of states where refugee seedlings are being planted.  Looks like those days are over as it was announced that World Relief (Evangelicals) one of the TOP NINE federal resettlement contractors is about to open an office there!

They must be having refugee overload problems in North Carolina!

World Relief, like the other eight contractors*** are all Progressive advocacy groups, six of them represent the ‘religious Left.’

By the way, World Relief is the refugee contractor that attempted to establish a seed community in my rural county in Maryland in 2007 that was the event that gave birth to this blog.

Two barricades (one right and one left) are made from one 3/4x4x8 sheet of plywood. The barricades are used to learn different shooting positions with a rifle: kneeling, prone, urban prone, etc. You can start at the top and work your way down and then back up as an initial training exercise.

I did not include framing materials but 2×4 that support the barricade in front are needed. If you are not leaving the barricades in place, I suggest that you use hardware to be able to disassemble it in the field. Primer and paint will make it last longer.

I found out very quickly than my hand guard precluded using many of the smaller openings. That has been fixed.

Star Wars gets its first official LGBT character added to canon

Star Wars gets its first official LGBT character added to canon

The Star Wars universe is getting its first LGBT character added to the official canon with the release of author Paul S. Kemp’s upcoming novel Lords of the SithBig Shiny Robot reports.

The character, known as Moff Mors, is described by the website as “an Imperial who has made some very serious mistakes,” but is still considered to be “an incredibly capable leader and spends much of the book working hard to prevent absolute failure.” It’s noted that “[Moff Mors] also happens to be a lesbian.”

Lords of the Sith editor Shelly Shapiro first spoke about Moff Mors’ introduction to the Star Wars universe on the Full of Sith podcast, stating: “This is certainly the first [LGBT] character in canon.

“But there was a gay Mandalorian couple, so it’s not brand new,” Shapiro continued. “It’s not something I really think about, it just makes sense. There’s a lot of diversity-there should be diversity in “Star Wars.” You have all these different species and it would be silly to not also recognize that there’s a lot of diversity in humans. If there’s any message at all, it’s simply that “Star Wars” is as diverse (or more so because they have alien species) as humanity is in real life and we don’t want to pretend it’s not. It just felt perfectly natural.”

The conventions of a number of the States having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added.

When did you last read or think about the 9th Amendment to the US Constitution ??

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

The language and history of the Ninth Amendment reveal that the Framers of the Constitution believed that there are additional fundamental rights, protected from governmental infringement, which exist alongside those fundamental rights specifically mentioned in the first eight constitutional amendments. . . . source

You have the right to bear arms, not “electrical” arms, court declares

Massachusetts’ ban on the private possession of stun guns—an “electrical weapon” under the statute—does not violate the Second Amendment right to bear arms, the state’s top court has ruled.

The decision says (PDF) that the US Constitution’s framers never envisioned the modern stun-gun device, first patented in 1972. The top court said stun guns are not suitable for military use, and that it did not matter whether state lawmakers have approved the possession of handguns outside the home.

Nevertheless, we note that stun guns deliver a charge of up to 50,000 volts. They are designed to incapacitate a target by causing disabling pain, uncontrolled muscular contractions, and general disruption of the central nervous system…. It is difficult to detect clear signs of use and misuse of stun guns, unlike handguns. Stun guns can deliver repeated or prolonged shocks without leaving marks. …The Legislature rationally could ban their use in the interest of public health, safety, or welfare. Removing from public access devices that can incapacitate, injure, or kill a person by disrupting the central nervous system with minimal detection is a classic legislative basis supporting rationality. It is immaterial that the Legislature has not banned weapons that are more lethal. Mathematical precision by the Legislature is not constitutionally required.

The court, ruling in the case of a Massachusetts woman caught with stun gun, said the stun gun is a “thoroughly modern invention” not protected by the Second Amendment, although handguns are protected.

What Is Obama’s Endgame by Dividing the Nation?

Our nation has never been more divided. And the divisive rhetoric never stops as the pResident proved again today. What is wrong with the simple concept that the United States was once the world’s superpower due to the fact the we were UNITED? Actually that is what is wrong in the pResident’s mind: he must destroy the country for its past sins. And the only way to do this is to divide us from within.

And once againm, Obama played the race card to divide us. Never mind that his ancestor’s on his mother’s side owned slaves.

None of my ancestor’s owned slaves but he expects me (and the country) to pay for the sins of the nation as perceived by him. But this is all misdirection on his part: we must realize that Obama has an endgame. We may speculate on what it is but the fact is that this nation will not survive much longer unless at some of the leadership in Congress stands up against tyranny.

How’s that transformation of America working for us?
