ISIS Penetrates Iraqi Base Used by U.S. Trainers

Iraqi army soldiers on Nov. 11, 2014, at al-Asad base. On Friday, eight Islamic State militants were killed after penetrating the base.

A group of Islamic State militants penetrated an Iraqi air base where U.S. military advisers are training Iraqi forces, the first time attackers have gotten beyond the outer perimeter of an Iraqi base being used by American trainers.

U.S. officials said eight Islamic State militants struck a small building at the edge of the huge al-Asad Air Base before being repelled by Iraqi forces. All eight were killed.

Military officials said American and other coalition trainers were “several kilometers” away from the attack and under no direct threat. There are 400 U.S. Marines and other service members at the base.

An Iraqi security-force official said that at the time of the attack, Islamic State militants also were firing rockets and mortars at the base.

So is it 300 or 400 soldiers? But do not forget, Obama has no boots on the ground.

World Press Freedom Index Plunges – USA Now Ranked #49 Globally

The 2015 World Press Freedom Index highlights the worldwide deterioration in freedom of information in 2014. Beset by wars, the growing threat from non-state operatives, violence during demonstrations and the economic crisis, media freedom is in retreat on all five continents. There was a drastic decline in freedom of information in 2014. Two-thirds of the 180 countries surveyed for the 2015 World Press Freedom Index performed less well than in the previous year.

I was told today that I was given an “F” for a presentation I made last year to a group in WNC by one individual. He did not like my comments concerning my thoughts on a course of action to secure our Liberty. He was of the opinion that we can vote our way out of our problems. How’s that working out?

Your pResident

There appears to be some confusion as to my term “your pResident”. First, Mr. Obama is more of a resident of the White House than a president. pResident signifies his disregard for the position to which he was elected.

The “your” means that I do not consider him to be my president. If you believe that the office of the presidency is still intact, then Obama is “your pResident”. If you voted for or support him, then Obama is “your pResident”. If you believe in this country and its founding principles, then you have to understand that the government is not the country. Congress, the office of the president and the Supreme Court represent the citizens of sovereign states according to our Constitution. The Constitution is a legal contract between a limited government and the people who created it. This contract has been broken.

If a contract is broken, the other party no longer has any claim or authority over the other party or parties involved in the contract. Some people would attack this as a support for anarchy. Those people do not understand the foundation of our country. If we were a perfect people (instead of being flawed with sin), there would be no reason to have a government. Our founding fathers recognized this and instituted a very limited federal government. They knew that the more power the “government” has, the more control it would exert until the people were enslaved and living in fear. This “creature” made by the people has now taken control over us.

For those who understand the concept of tyranny and are willing to fight for Liberty, then it is obvious that Obama is not your president, leader or commander-in-chief. Our forefathers told us what to do to fight tyranny. Those who believe the government which has enslaved us will set us free are dreaming. The path to freedom is never easy. The first step is recognizing that you must start the journey.

Understanding The Fear Of Self-Defense And Revolution

by Brandon Smith

Our era is a strange one when considering how social attitudes have developed in such a contrary fashion to the rest of history. I think that our forefathers would look upon our current culture with bewilderment when confronted with the fact that our generation has all but abandoned the option of physical rebellion as a tool for social change. Even among the most enslaved of nations and peoples, the idea of revolution has been held in regard as an entirely moral and principled affair involving every individual, no matter their age or economic station. Today, however, that which we call “revolution” has been delegated mostly to college-age intellectuals and has been so watered down and whitewashed with politically correct restrictions that the concept is hardly recognizable.

I believe the civil rights movements in America and in India in the 20th century have in many ways warped the public view of how opposition to totalitarianism is actually accomplished. I find it interesting that movements led by Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. enjoy so much adoration in mainstream media and in public schooling, while the American Revolution is often either misrepresented or not discussed at all. Gandhi’s movement was, in concrete terms, a failure until Indians had actually began organizing to physically fight the British, causing the Crown to attempt to defuse the movement by suddenly offering up a reformation of Indian governance (one that would continue to benefit them). When one examines the facts surrounding Cointelpro operations by the FBI and CIA during the civil rights movement in America, one realizes that half the efforts and actions were legitimate and the other half entirely manipulated.

Over the course of half a century, the philosophy of “anti-violence” has come to include a distinct distaste for self-defense. Self-defense is now consistently equated to “violence” (and is, thus, immoral), regardless of environmental circumstances.

The “Catastrophic Shutdown Of America’s Supply Chain” Begins: Stunning Photos Of West Coast Port Congestion

One week ago, when previewing what may be the first lockout of the West Coast Ports since 2002, we cited the Retail Industry Leaders Association who, realizing that failure to reach an agreement between the dockworker union and their bosses, the Pacific Maritime Association representing port management would lead to devastating consequences for the US retail industry, had several very damning soundbites:

  • “a work slowdown during contract negotiations over the past seven months has already created logistic nightmares for American exporters, manufacturers and retailers dependent on an efficient supply chain. A complete shutdown would be catastrophic, with hundreds of thousands of jobs at risk if America’s supply chain grinds to a halt.
  • “A west coast port shutdown would be an economic disaster.”
  • “A shutdown would not only impact the hundreds of thousands of jobs working directly in America’s transportation supply chain, but the reality is the entire economy would be impacted as exports sit on docks and imports sit in the harbor waiting for manufacturers to build products and retailers to stock shelves.”

And the punchline: “The slowdown is already making life difficult, but a shutdown could derail the economy completely.

Jobless Claims Jump Back Above 300k As Shale State Losses Mount

As the noise of jobless claims data once again ripples through the narrative of unequivocally good low gas prices, initial claims in Shale States continues to trend higher. TX and PA saw the largest rise in claims (from the Shale States) lagged a week. Overall, initial jobless claims jumped 24k to 304k (above the supposed Maginot Line demarcating the “everything is awesome” from the “we’re gonna need a bigger QE”) missing expectations by the most in a month.

Retail Sales Plunge Twice As Much As Expected. Worst Back-To-Back Drop Since Oct 2009

Following last month’s narrative-crushing drop in retail sales, despite all that low interest rate low gas price stimulus, January was more of the same as hopeful expectations for a modest rebound were denied. Falling 0.8% (against a 0.9% drop in Dec), missing expectations of -0.4%, this is the worst back-to-back drop in retail sales since Oct 2009. Retail sales declined in 6 of the 13 categories.

Retail sales disappoint… again…

Iran’s Top Commander: Shi’ite Takeover in Yemen Proves ‘Islamic Revolution’ is Spreading

Houthi fighters in YemenAmid reports that the Shi’ite militia now claiming to control Yemen had taken possession of U.S. Embassy vehicles and U.S. Marines’ firearms, Iran’s top general declared Wednesday that developments in the troubled Gulf state were evidence of the spread of the “Islamic revolution” throughout the region.

The U.S., Britain, France and Germany have closed their embassies and evacuated staff, and State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki confirmed Wednesday the administration was looking into the “obviously unacceptable” seizure of vehicles and equipment.

She said she had no details on weapons having been taken, but a Pentagon spokesman said later that members of the embassy’s Marine security detachment had handed over their pistols and rifles at the airport, as they were not permitted to take them on commercial evacuation flights.

Feds Hold Hearing On Whether They Should ‘Regulate’ Sites Like Drudge, Infowars And The Economic Collapse Blog

Big Brother Is Watching - Public Domain

The control freaks that run our government always seem to want to “regulate” things that they do not like.  And so it should be no surprise that there is a renewed push to regulate independent news websites.  Sites like the Drudge Report, Infowars.com and The Economic Collapse Blog have been a thorn in the side of the establishment for years.  You see, the truth is that approximately 90 percent of all news and entertainment in this country is controlled by just six giant media corporations.  That is why the news seems to be so similar no matter where you turn.  But in recent years the alternative media has exploded in popularity.  People are hungry for the truth, and an increasing number of Americans are waking up to the fact that they are not getting the truth from the corporate-controlled media.  But as the alternative media has grown, it was only going to be a matter of time before the establishment started cracking down on it.  At the moment it is just the FEC and the FCC, but surely this is just the beginning.  Our “Big Brother” government ultimately wants to control every area of our lives – and this especially applies to our ability to communicate freely with one another.

The Federal Election Commission is an example of a federal rule making body that has gotten wildly out of control.  Since just about anything that anyone says or does could potentially “influence an election”, it is not difficult for them to come up with excuses to regulate things that they do not like.

And on Wednesday, the FEC held a hearing on whether or not they should regulate political speech on blogs, websites and YouTube videos…

While Visiting the Southern Poverty Law Center…

While checking to see if I made the SPLC’s hate speech list, I did a search on NCRenegade. This comment from “Mark” on an article has only one point correct:

Why is there no mention of the Right Wing Extremist Group, NCRengade of NC. The Group leader is now living in Murphy, NC, and attacking neighbors who support the current president. This NCRenegade never has anything positive to say about our president, ot government. Subversive hate speech continuously.

I did not correct the misspelled word or the poor grammar that is a trademark of “Mark”.

The corollary for the above passage is that evil will cling to evil. In some cases, there is no hope for them as the Lord hardens their heart for His own purposes as He did with Pharaoh or Satan’s grasp will not be broken.
