Man tells cops he’s uploading video of them, gets arrested

swat_watertown

The arrest of a man who videoed police officers violently serving an arrest warrant across the street from his home indicates Americans no longer are masters of their own country, contends a leading constitutional lawyer.

“In fact, you’re not even the servant – you’re the slave,” said John Whitehead, president of the Rutherford Institute.

Rutherford is representing Gresham, Oregon, resident Fred Marlow, 27, who is facing charges and fines of up to $5,000 after his Sept. 2 arrest.

“Clearly, when police officers cease to look and act like civil servants or peace officers but instead look and act like soldiers occupying a hostile territory, it alters their perception of ‘we the people.’ However, those who founded this country believed that we were the masters and that those whose salaries we pay with our hard-earned tax dollars are our servants,” Whitehead said.

“If daring to question, challenge or even hesitate when a cop issues an order can get you charged with resisting arrest or disorderly conduct, you’re not the master in a master-servant relationship. If fact, you’re not even the servant,” he said.

What an Uncensored FBI Letter to M.L.K. Reveals

The note is just a single sheet gone yellow with age, typewritten and tightly spaced. It’s rife with typos and misspellings and sprinkled with attempts at emending them. Clearly, some effort went into perfecting the tone, that of a disappointed admirer, appalled by the discovery of “hidious [sic] abnormalities” in someone he once viewed as “a man of character.”

The word “evil” makes six appearances in the text, beginning with an accusation: “You are a colossal fraud and an evil, vicious one at that.” In the paragraphs that follow, the recipient’s alleged lovers get the worst of it. They are described as “filthy dirty evil companions” and “evil playmates,” all engaged in “dirt, filth, evil and moronic talk.” The effect is at once grotesque and hypnotic, an obsessive’s account of carnal rage and personal betrayal. “What incredible evilness,” the letter proclaims, listing off “sexual orgies,” “adulterous acts” and “immoral conduct.” Near the end, it circles back to its initial target, denouncing him as an “evil, abnormal beast.”

Congress: Military Left Out of Space Arms Control Talks

AP

The State Department is pursuing space arms control agreements without formal coordination at the Pentagon, and two members of Congress warned yesterday that such an accord would undermine U.S. national security.

Rep. Doug Lamborn (R., Col.) and Sen. David Vitter (R., La.) wrote to Frank A. Rose, deputy assistant secretary of state for space and defense policy on Wednesday, requesting an explanation for what they suggested was space arms control freelancing.

Lamborn said he organized a letter to Rose because of worries the State Department is working on an international space arms agreement that could limit U.S. space capabilities.

“Any proposal for a space code of conduct or an outer space arms control treaty should only be considered by the United States if it clearly improves our national security and does not limit our own freedom of action in space,” Lamborn told the Free Beacon in a statement.

“I am particularly concerned by the potential that State Department officials may be proposing agreements without any consideration for the national security implications of their proposals,” he added.

Do Russians have more food freedom, independence than Americans?

Imagine living in a country where having the freedom to cultivate your own land, tax-free and without government interference, is not only common but also encouraged for the purpose of promoting individual sovereignty and strong, healthy communities. Now imagine that in this same country, nearly all of your neighbors also cultivate their own land as part of a vast network of decentralized, self-sustaining, independent “eco-villages” that produce more than enough food to feed the entire country.

You might be thinking this sounds like some kind of utopian interpretation of historical America, but the country actually being described here is modern-day Russia. It turns out that Russia’s current agricultural model is one that thrives as a result of the millions of small-scale, family-owned and -operated, organically-cultivated farms that together produce the vast majority of the food consumed throughout the country.

Obama to announce 10-point immigration plan via executive order

President Obama is planning to unveil a 10-part plan for overhauling U.S. immigration policy via executive action — including suspending deportations for millions — as early as next Friday, a source close to the White House told Fox News.

The president’s plans were contained in a draft proposal from a U.S. government agency. The source said the plan could be announced as early as Nov. 21, though the date might slip a few days pending final White House approval.

Obama was briefed at the White House by Homeland Security officials before leaving on his Asia-Pacific trip last week, Fox News has learned.

The plan contains 10 initiatives than span everything from boosting border security to improving pay for immigration officers.

A Message from Joe Biden Concerning the Elections

I’ve been through a lot of elections, and it’s a simple fact that you’re not going to win them all. No matter how hard you work, sometimes things don’t turn out the way you want them to.

But I hope you won’t listen to any of the people who are saying that what happened on one Tuesday night in November changed everything — because they are wrong.

Nothing changed the fact that there are millions of Americans counting on us to create good middle-class jobs, and build better schools for our children. It didn’t change that we still have a lot of work to do together, and two full years to do it.

So I want you to stay committed, keep your head up, and invest in the future of our party:

Thank you — I mean it. Folks like you have always been the Democratic Party’s biggest asset, and there’s nothing that’s going to change that either.

The Economic End Game Explained

Throughout history, in most cases of economic collapse the societies in question believed they were financially invincible just before their disastrous fall. Rarely does anyone see the edge of the cliff or even the bottom of the abyss before it has swallowed a nation whole. This lack of foresight, however, is not entirely the fault of the public. It is, rather, a consequence caused by the manipulation of the fundamental information available to the public by governments and social gatekeepers.

In the years leading up to the Great Depression, numerous mainstream “experts” and politicians were quick to discount the idea of economic collapse, and most people were more than ready to believe them. Equities markets were, of course, the primary tool used to falsely elicit popular optimism. When markets rose, even in spite of other very negative fiscal indicators, the masses were satisfied. In this way, stock markets have become a kind of dopamine switch financial elites can push at any given time to juice the citizenry and distract them from the greater perils of their economic future. During every upswing of stocks, the elites argued that the “corner had been turned,” when in reality the crisis had just begun. Nothing has changed since the crash of 1929. Just look at some of these quotes and decide if the rhetoric sounds familiar today:

BUILDING TRIBE: KITH, KIN, AND SACRIFICE

by John Mosby

Tribes, and the bands that make up those tribes are—historically and prehistorically—composed of a physical and spiritual extension of the family. In European cultures this is referred to with some derivation of the Germanic term “folk.” To use another traditional European term (I am after all, of very European descent), your folk are your “kith and kin.” While it will undoubtedly incite the angst of the white power organizations, despite my use of Euro-centric terminology, this is not about race, contrary to their blatherings otherwise.

“Kin,” as anyone raised in the Southern Highlands as I was, can tell you, means “family.” These are—obviously—those people related to you by blood. “Kith” on the other hand, is somewhat more complicated, because it is so often misused by those with a political agenda. According to the Merrian-Webster dictionary, kith refers to “familiar friends and neighbors.” It is Middle English, cognate of the Old English, or Anglo-Saxon, word cythth, meaning “known.”
