Israel draws up over-plan for control of the Gaza Strip

Israeli paratroops fighting in GazaThe IDF’s Shejaiya operation in the Gaza Strip continues apace, carried forward by five task forces now heading for the center of Gaza City amid casualties on both sides. Sunday, July 20, Israel’s crack Golani Brigades lost 18 fighters, without slowing down, compared with 170 Palestinian fatalities.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that each task force, the size of half a division, is an integrated amalgam of air, armored, artillery and engineering forces, capable of operating almost autonomously in field combat. The buildup of the last 24 hours has expanded Israel’s fighting strength in the Gaza Strip to a total of 75,000 men, the largest ever fielded in this territory. Because of its scale, Israeli leaders are referring to Defensive Edge as a war rather than an operation.

The battle for Shejaiya waged Sunday burst into public prominence because of the heavy losses suffered by the Golani Brigades, but it is not the largest engagement underway at present. The other ongoing IDF battles, their progress, the units involved and their locations, are kept secret. We can only point to their general locations as being around Beit Hanoun in the north; Zeitun, south of Gaza City and the Shati refugee camp to the north.

More arenas are scheduled to be added to the list of battle zones Monday.

Israel kills militants entering from Gaza, death toll tops 500

Israeli forces killed 10 Palestinian militants who slipped across the border from Gaza through hidden tunnels on Monday, the military said, as the death toll from the two-week conflict passed 500 amid growing international calls for an end.

Defying a U.N. Security Council appeal for an immediate ceasefire, Israeli jets, tanks and artillery continued to pound the Gaza Strip, killing 28 members of a single family near the enclave’s southern border with Egypt, medics said.

The Islamist group Hamas and its allies fired multiple missiles across southern and central Israel, and heavy fighting was reported in the north and east of Gaza.

Non-stop attacks lifted the Palestinian death toll to 496, including almost 100 children, since fighting started on July 8, Gaza health officials said. Israel says 18 of its soldiers have also died along with two civilians.

Iran Urges International, Regional Organizations to Help Stop Israeli Crimes in Gaza

Iran Urges Int'l, Regional Organizations to Help Stop Israeli Crimes in Gaza

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham condemned the new wave of Israeli attacks on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and called on the international and regional organizations to take immediate action to stop Tel Aviv’s ongoing crimes in the Gaza Strip.

Afkham condemned Israel’s fresh attacks on Shejaiya district of the Gaza Strip where health officials said at least 50 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire, and urged the international bodies to fulfill their duties to stop the Zionists’ inhumane crimes in there.

“Surely, the world Muslims and freedom-seeking nations will give an unforgettable lesson to the Quds occupying regime on the International Quds Day,” she said.

A Well Regulated Militia…

JTX_2014_01

I lay on a pile of cow crap and nettles, peering uselessly through weeds growing on a wire fence. I am unable to see more than 12 feet into an open field. Prone, my neck and shoulders hurt as I crane hoping to see far enough so that I can have some warning of advancing forces. I am sweating out buckets, soaking my Battle Dress Uniform (BDU), boonie hat and underwear as thoroughly as if I had been caught in a thunderstorm. My neck is developing a sunburn because, like an idiot, I failed to put sunblock into my kit. Baking in the sun, unable to see anything, feeling hot, bored and useless, I remember why I left the Army.

Rewind a few months. I am very concerned about the lawful lawlessness of Federal State and local governments. Legislation and regulation seem to me to be oriented to favoring the fortunes of politically connected persons and groups rather than the general benefit of all citizens. What they do is legal, but it is immoral.

The dustup between Cliven Bundy and the Bureau of Land Management really focused my attention as it made an abstract argument for overbearing government concrete. On one hand, it is clear that Bundy has dug his heels in and is ignoring the rulings of the authorities – he is on the wrong side of the law. On the other hand Bundy is the only rancher in the area left after years of management by the BLM – an agency supposedly empowered to manage land for the benefit of everyone, even ranchers. I think the Feds are morally wrong and the fines and penalties unjust. Unjust laws ought not be complied with.

It does not take a majority to prevail…

See Tea Party Nation for additional comments.

It does not take a majority to prevail… but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.

Samuel Adams

Is this applicable today as it was in prior to the revolution? Based on what I believe, it is not. We the people of the United States have become too divided. We have replaced our love of Liberty with apathy. We do not hold freedom dear.

The proper quote for our time is:

It does not take a majority to prevail… but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of slavery in the minds of men.

At this point, you have two paths:

1. Stop reading.
2. Continue reading after considering the implications.

Hamas Global War Effort: London PHOTOS Thousands of Muslims and Leftists Demonstrate Against the Jews

london jewhate1

This, too, is part of the Islamic war on the West, using the Jews as a club — knowing what they know about the world (and particularly Europe) and the Jews, it is a devilish and brilliant strategy.

The British government banned Robert Spencer and me from speaking in the UK because of our pro-Israel support and our opposition to jihad. They feared we would “not be conducive to the public good.” They have ceded the field to the terrorists and their handmaidens. Is this the public good? Is this who they are rooting for? Good luck to them.

But they don’t protest the mass slaughter of Islamic State or Boko Haram. They don’t protest honor killings or clitordectomies. They don’t protest the punitive sharia against Christians. They only violently protest the Jews. And the world agrees with this genocidal bloodlust.

“‘In our thousands, in our millions, we are all Palestinians’: Global anger grows as 15,000 protestors mass outside Israel’s London embassy,”  By Sam Webb, Daily Mail, 19 July 2014

New York man choked, killed when suspected of selling cigarettes on sidewalk

Eric Garner begged for air 8 times before falling silent. (Source: Ramsey Orta)

A man died following a brutal arrest in which NYPD choked him and slammed his head against the sidewalk. Police say they suspected him of selling cigarettes without government permission.

The violence occurred on July 17th, when NYPD officers approached Eric Garner, 43. Late that afternoon, witnesses said that Garner, described as a “gentle giant,” was standing on the sidewalk and had played peacekeeper by breaking up a scuffle between two parties.

But police weren’t interested in taking a report about the fight.

NYPD was evidently investigating one of New York’s most egregious crimes — face-to-face cigarette sales on the sidewalk. With New York City’s oppressive “sin taxes,” packs of smokes cost as much as $12 to $14 each. Mr. Garner had in the past been arrested for selling cigarettes for 50 cents apiece. NYPD believed that he was doing it again.

“Every time you see me you want to mess with me,” Garner told NYPD. “I’m tired of it. It stops today!”
