Disarming the Warriors

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdLDDoxE8to#t=1s

From YouTube:

We are defanging our military. What’s more, is that we are taking away their basic human rights to defend themselves, their Second Amendment rights to bear arms in their own self-defense, while asking them to volunteer to defend us. Moreover, we are choosing time and time again to deny them the mental health and veterans’ benefits, while giving more money to entitlements for other communities. Meanwhile, shootings on bases have occurred now multiple times, and 22 people in our armed services commit suicide daily. This is unacceptable–hear why in this Afterburner with Bill Whittle.

Ukraine looks to Europe for gas as Russia ups pressure

Ukraine said on Friday it would turn to Europe for gas and won a promise of help from Brussels after Russia warned it could cut supplies over Kiev’s refusal to pay Moscow’s “political, uneconomic price” for supplies.

Presenting a united front a day after President Vladimir Putin wrote to the European Union warning that its supplies could be disrupted if Ukraine failed to cover its bills, European officials said they had little to fear and would help Ukraine pay.

With Russia increasing the pressure on Ukraine’s faltering economy, Ukrainian Energy Minister Yuri Prodan told parliament the EU would stand in solidarity with Kiev if Russia reduced supplies, making sure Moscow could not increase flows through alternative pipelines to bypass its neighbour.

“Ukraine cannot pay such a political, uneconomic price, so now we are negotiating with the European Union about reverse deliveries into Ukraine,” Prodan said.

US Inflation Jumps To Highest In 7 Months

Producer Price Inflation data soared higher than expectations across the board this morning with Final Demand up 1.4% YoY (against 1.1% expectation) to its highest since Aug 2013. The main driver was food and apparel prices (rather unexpectedly) but we also note that ex-Food-and-Energy was a 0.6% rise (vs 0.2% exp.) which is the biggest month over month jump since March 2011.

Final demand services:

The index for final demand services rose 0.7 percent in March, the largest advance since a 0.8-percent jump in January 2010. In March, over 60 percent of the broad-based increase can be traced to margins for final demand trade services, which climbed 1.4 percent. (Trade indexes measure changes in margins received by wholesalers and retailers.) Prices for final demand services less trade, transportation, and warehousing increased 0.4 percent, and the index for final demand transportation and warehousing services rose 0.5 percent.

In March, MoM Ex Food and Energy surged (well above expectations) thanks to a 3.3-percent increase in margins for apparel, jewelry, footwear, and accessories retailing led the advance in prices for final demand services.

Cliven Bundy: This Could End Like Waco

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-n9cHHPKfA

From YouTube:

One Nevada rancher is threatening to wage a “range war” against the government.

In 1993, the government decided that the land Cliven Bundy ranches on is a habitat for federally protected desert tortoises. Bundy then refused to pay new grazing fees and continued letting his cattle graze on the land, arguing that his ancestors worked the land since the 1870s, long before the Bureau of Land Management was formed.

JPMorgan Chase & Co reported a 19 percent decline in first-quarter profit as revenue from securities trading fell in a climate of uncertainty about the strength of the economic recovery and the Federal Reserve’s intentions on interest rates.

Net income fell to $5.27 billion, or $1.28 per share, from $6.53 billion, or $1.59 per share, in the same quarter of 2013, the biggest U.S. bank said on Friday.

Common Core in North Carolina: The Story

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_tKGwR-tJI

From YouTube:

I thought I knew a lot about Common Core, but I was blown away by some of the information revealed by Whitney Neal at the March meeting of the Lake Norman conservatives. MUST watch this video ALL THE WAY THROUGH – learn why simply removing the words “Common Core” from NC General Statutes, as has been suggested by several NC legislators, will NOT rid North Carolina of Common Core. Don’t be fooled! Sample appropriate repeal legislation can be seen at the following link; even this will not completely rid NC of the Common Core and its associated programs, but FULLY repealing the mandates from the statutes is the first step on the path to reclaiming NC’s sovereignty in education: http://carolinalibertypac.com/2014/02…

The final meeting of the North Carolina Common Core Study Committee is April 24 at 10 AM. The committee may submit legislation to the NCGA for a hearing during the short session (which begins in May), but they MUST approve the measure at the April 24 meeting in order for Common Core repeal to be heard this year. The deadline for the committee to submit their legislation in order to be eligible for NCGA short session hearing is April 25. Study Committee members are to receive legislative proposals 10 days in advance of the meeting; however, if it is the case that Chairmen Soucek & Holloway neglect to send the legislation to the members in advance, the advanced-notice rule may be waived at the committee meeting by a motion, a second, and a 2/3 vote to do so. If the committee instead brings forward symbolic “remove the name Common Core” legislation, activitsts should let committee members know that they expect them to motion for a substitute amendment and replace the intelligence-insulting measure with the more substantial repeal legislation. Why Meat Prices Are Going To Continue Soaring For The Foreseeable Future

Drought Monitor April 1

by Michael Snyder

The average price of USDA choice-grade beef has soared to $5.28 a pound, and the average price of a pound of bacon has skyrocketed to $5.46.  Unfortunately for those that like to eat meat, this is just the beginning of the price increases.  Due to an absolutely crippling drought that won’t let go of the western half of the country, the total size of the U.S. cattle herd has shrunk for seven years in a row, and it is now the smallest that is has been since 1951.  But back in 1951, we had less than half the number of mouths to feed.  And a devastating pig virus that has never been seen in the United States before has already killed up to 6 million pigs in this country and continues to spread like wildfire.  What all of this means is that the supply of meat is going to be tight for the foreseeable future even as demand for meat continues to go up.  This is going to result in much higher prices, and so food is going to put a much larger dent in American family budgets in the months and years to come.

One year ago, the average price of USDA choice-grade beef was $4.91.  Now it is up to $5.28, and the Los Angeles Times says that we should not expect prices to come down “any time soon”…

BLM Rangers Brought in From Out of State for Nevada Ranch ‘Emergency’

Cliven Bundy supporters raise a banner during a rally / AP

Armed Rangers were brought in from out of state by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to assist in security surrounding the Bundy Ranch, according to the family.

A heated confrontation on Wednesday resulted in Cliven Bundy’s son Ammon being tasered by BLM officials and a 57-year-old protester being shoved to the ground.

Stetsy Bundy Cox, Cliven’s daughter, told the Washington Free Beacon that some of the rangers had Oregon and California license plates.

“You know, some of these guys don’t even know why they’re here,” she said. “A few people have talked to them and they got called in here on an emergency feed and they didn’t know what it was for, it just said they had to be here.”

White wing supremacist: swan attacks foreign students

Undergraduates revealed that the swan only appeared to target students from ethnic minorities

“I think they don’t like too many Indians in England – maybe the swans here are a little bit racist.

A 4ft tall bird, which boasts an 8ft wingspan, has been accused of behaved aggressively towards foreign students as they cross over a footbridge near its nesting place at the university’s Gibbet Hill campus in Coventry, West Midlands.

The footbridge is used by hundreds of students everyday as a route between accommodation and university buildings. Undergraduates revealed that the swan only appeared to target students from ethnic minorities.

One 24-year-old student from India said: “These swans are very annoying, and the students feel as though they’re being bullied.

Up to 5,000 Armed Militia Members Will Be Arriving in Bunkerville, Nevada Today

Update: Word on the street from sources close to the militia movement is that up to 5,000 armed militia members will be arriving in Bunkerville, Nevada sometime today.

It is apparent that the Federal government was under the impression that they could simply move into the ranch land surrounding Bunkerville, NV and have their way with the property and livelihood of the Bundy family. What they didn’t count on was the outcry from Americans across the country. And now things may be headed to the next level. As Kim Paxton of The Daily Sheeple notes, citizen militias in several states have been called up. Many members of those organizations are taking up arms and are making their way to Nevada.

And it’s not just the citizen militias that are preparing to take action. The governor of Nevada has officially condemned the federal government’s actions, though he has yet to take any steps afforded to him under State law. Sheriff Richard Mack of Gilbert, Arizona has weighed in and calls the actions “terrorism.”

At last count there were some 200 federal agents from various agencies on the ground in Nevada and it appears that hundreds, perhaps thousands, of armed militia members will soon arrive to confront them.
