Shipbuilding Orders Evaporate As Baltic Dry Collapses

The silence is deafening still about the ongoing collapse in the Baltic Dry Index among mainstream media types (as it just might challenge the hope/hype that growth is coming back). At the dismal level of 1002, BDIY is at 8-month lows and has fallen 14 days in a row… but now it is having a real world impact. As Sea News reportsKorean shipping companies are failing to place orders for large vessels and anxiety over the future is forcing some local companies to dispose of their assets despite the relatively low shipbuilding costs as of late.

The Baltic Dry is down 14 days in a row at $1002 – its lowest in 8 months (and worst start to a year on record).

KrisAnne Hall: Cliven Bundy, Cows And The Constitution

New Graphic

This is not a case of a gray area of personal property vs. federal property. And now we are repeating a history of Kings and Tyrants because we forgot that the federal government has no Constitutional right to own land. Period. The only authority for federal land ownership is through precedent and practice. As a matter of fact, James Madison WARNED us of this very tyranny in 1792:

“I, sir, have always conceived — I believe those who proposed the Constitution conceived — it is still more fully known, and more material to observe, that those who ratified the Constitution conceived — that this is not an indefinite government, deriving its powers from the general terms prefixed to the specified powers – but a limited government, tied down to the specified powers, which explain and define the general terms.”

Our founders went to great pains to create a limited and defined federal government so we would not have to negotiate with Kings. With amazing foresight, Madison explains the consequence of allowing the federal government to turn these “clauses” into defined powers:

America’s Remedy Overview (Pt 1 of 4) – Interview with Garland Favorito and John Ainsworth

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2CHWdYYkOM

From YouTube:

Why is the federal government so out of control today? Were the American states intended to be sovereign bodies with a federal form of government? Did something happen which overthrew that established foundation? John Ainsworth and Garland Favorito seek to answer these questions in part 1 of this series.

Watch The Other Hand…

While I don’t seek to take away from the BLM mess presently erupting at the Bundy ranch, I have to remind folks not to become myopic – there are several other things developing rapidly that deserve our attention, lest we be caught unaware.

The Ebola outbreak in west Africa presently has hundreds of reported cases, well over 150 confirmed deaths, and has spread to at least 6 countries, and is growing rapidly.  Containment efforts are spotty at best, and being hampered by political efforts to minimize the perceived danger.  If Ebola jumps to Europe, which is now  a very real possibility, then the game is forever changed.

CT and NY residents are still simmering under tyrannical new gun laws, and an escalation could come at any time.

Our situational awareness is being tested right now.  They want you overloaded.

Stay strong, and stay focused.  There is more in the pipe…

Into the Whirlwind

christian mercenary

by T.L. Davis

Now is the time to be in Nevada. It is time to push the struggle of the average American, in this case Cliven Bundy. It should not be enough to just show up and support the family. It is time to start helping Cliven Bundy get his cattle back. It is a chance to give a show of force to the feds and let it start to sink in what would happen if they attempt to impose control over a free people.

Already the feds are guilty of numerous counts of assault and assault with a deadly weapon. It is not just an accident when they use force against citizens for asking questions. It is not just an accident when citizens are hit with a moving vehicle. Those park rangers are criminals and must be held accountable for their crimes.

The patriot/liberty community must recognize the situation at hand. This is the dividing point between what the feds will do and what the people can do in response. I commend anyone who has been able to show up ready to support liberty, ready to support the right to property.

BLM Won’t Say if They’ve Euthanized Cows in Ranch Standoff

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will not say if they have euthanized any cows in the roundup of Cliven Bundy’s cattle on public land in Nevada.

Amy Lueders, the Nevada state director for the BLM, said in a conference call Thursday evening that the agency does have a “protocol,” but would not release any numbers for animals they have found dead or that they have euthanized.

A reporter asked about heavy construction equipment that was seen coming in and out of the blockade, and whether cattle have been found dead, injured, or euthanized during the operation.

“In terms of the number that we’ve found, animals who are, I think, deceased on the range, or if we’ve had to euthanize an animal, we don’t have an answer to that question at this time,” Lueders said. “We will euthanize an animal during the impoundment if they exhibit dangerous characteristics, threaten the health and safety of the employees, display a hopeless prognosis for life.”

“So, we do have a protocol in terms of when we would euthanize animals,” she said. “But we don’t have any answers at this time in terms of the numbers.”

One point is certain: the money the government is expending to put Mr. Bundy in compliance with the law far exceeds any revenue that they would have collected. How much will the government spend to make us comply? As much as we pay them in taxes and even more.

Two Stock Market Points for Your Consideration

The stock market just finished a bad week. The Dow Jones closed down another 143 points today (April 11, 2014) with a loss of 2.35% for the week on higher than average volume. There are two interesting facts concerning the time frame surrounding the market’s (DJIA) closing bell. The volume increase in the last 10 minutes accounted for 33% of the total trading today. This is higher than normal but the interesting trend is that the market sold off and increased its losses for the day. After the closing bell, the second interesting fact is that institutional trades continued this selloff and the market value of the DJIA is under 16,000: it is 15,964 at 4:15 PM.

It appears that the powers that be, are dumping their holdings and the individual investor will be left holding the bull by the horns. At least the bull is on its last legs.

Bitcoin Is a Revolution, Not an Investment

bitcoin revolution

It has been interesting to see large numbers of people pay attention to Bitcoin in the past year or so. The reason for that attention was the exchange price of Bitcoin, which made a lot of early adopters wealthy. (One of the few times when the right guys got rich.)

The idea of getting rich quick always sells, and it did this time too. Along with it came a lot of investment talk, complaints about volatility, well-publicized government raids, central bank reports, and threats from tax men.

What most of these people missed was that Bitcoin is not a traditional financial instrument and doesn’t fit into the categories of traditional finance. Bitcoin – cryptocurrency – is a new thing. It’s a radical, revolutionary thing. As long as you try to categorize Bitcoin with traditional financial tools, you’ll never really understand it.

Latest Developments in the Cliven Bundy Case

The Arizona Legislature Stands With Bundy

In a case of “I would never have believed this in a million years”, the Arizona State Senate President Andy Biggs and the Arizona House of Representatives Speaker Dave Livingston are both in agreement that Arizona should be involved in supporting CSPOA and Oath Keepers in going to Bunkerville, Nevada. These two leaders of the Arizona Legislature have vowed to support the Cliven Bundy family. This stunning development cannot be overstated, and yet, there is more. Additionally, State Senators Al Melvin, Chester Crandall, and Kelly Ward along with State Representatives Brenda Barton, Bob Thorpe, Kelly Townsend and Warren Peterson are all planning to be at the Bundy ranch by Sunday morning. All of these local government officials are planning to attend the Press Conference Monday afternoon with the CSPOA and Oath Keepers along with the Bundy’s and other sheriffs and public officials from across the country.

The Oathkeepers Declare Their Position

It is my distinct privilege to announce that the Oathkeepers have pledged their full support for Cliven Bundy and are helping to lead the charge in challenging the tyrannical actions of the federal government. The following press release is from the Oathkeepers.

“A Delegation of state legislators, lead by Washington State Representative Matt Shea, along with a  delegation of current serving Sheriffs, lead by Sheriff Richard Mack of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, and military and police members of Oath Keepers, are converging on the site of a stand-off between federal law enforcement and Nevada Rancher Cliven Bundy, to prevent bloodshed and to stand in defense of hardworking rural Americans who are under assault by a runaway federal government.”
