This nation is at a balancing point where finally the actions of the government have become so egregious that the moral scale tips. It is a psychological point where a greater degree of Americans are predisposed to believe that the government of the United States is immoral and that opposition to it is moral.

This is a dangerous demarcation line that truly no government can afford to pass. When a government passes that line, bad things happen. Most of the way through the Soviet history the population clung to the myth that Stalin was the savior of the nation, so much so that there were those who lived through it that believed it was all done behind Stalin’s back.

In this country there is the myth that “our government wouldn’t really do that” but there is a point where even the staunchest believers have to give up that illusion. For many that point came as a result of 9-11, when the war on terror began. This is all a little bit simplistic, but for purposes of clarity it needs to be explained this way.

Crimea’s parliament voted on Thursday to join Russia, and its Moscow-backed government set a referendum in 10 days, in a dramatic escalation of the crisis over the Ukrainian region that drew a sharp riposte from U.S. President Barack Obama.

Obama ordered sanctions on those responsible for Moscow’s military intervention in Ukraine, including bans on travel to the United States and freezing of their U.S. assets.

I Will Believe It When I See It

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R., Wash.) / AP

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R., Wash.) / AP

Another attempt by Congress to appear like they will try to restore the Constitution under a tyrannical pResident? Darrell Issa cannot even get Lois Lerner to respect him. What makes him think that Obama will give him any respect. Someone needs to remind Issa that Eric Holder showed him the door during the Fast & Furious hearings. How is that contempt of Congress charge coming along? And once again Boehner is missing in action.

House to Vote on Bill to Stop ‘Imperial Presidency’ Next Week

House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Wash.) and Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R., Calif.) laid out their plans to counter President Barack Obama’s executive overreach, in a conference call Thursday.

The House will continue its efforts to push back against the “imperial presidency” next week, by voting on additional legislation that would allow Congress to challenge executive moves in federal court.

“Clearly President Obama has taken the über presidency to a whole new level,” McMorris Rodgers said. “While it’s not new for presidents to stretch their constitutional limits of power, executive overreach has accelerated at a faster pace under President Obama.”

“Throughout his tenure we have witnessed a pattern,” she said. “When the president disagrees with laws, he ignores them. And now that Obamacare isn’t working, President Obama is rewriting his own law on a whim.”

Why the Banksters Don’t Care About Your Gold

FREEMANSPERSPECTIVE

banksters

I regularly hear how important it is to hold silver and gold and how dangerous the central banks and their banksters (a combination of bankers and gangsters) really are. I’m sympathetic, of course, since I don’t like central banks and I do like silver and gold.

But these folks have a problem: Their plans never seem to bear any fruit. Mostly, they are waiting for the banksters to lose control, for the financial system to fall down, and for their silver and gold to save them from an apocalypse.

But it has been a lot of years now, and the banksters seem to have no concern about precious metals in the hands of average folks. In short, they don’t fear your silver and gold at all, and I think it’s important to examine why.

The Obvious Reasons

There are several obvious reasons why the banksters don’t fear metals in private hands, and then there’s a much bigger reason. Let’s start with the easy ones:

  1. The banksters already hold most the world’s silver and gold and control its pricing. The ‘official’ price of gold is set every day by a group of bankers in London.
  2. They lease it to each other and their friends.
  3. The largest bankers more or less control the gold futures markets. At last count, the big commodities market had 102 times more gold under contract than they had physical gold. Since this “paper gold” passes for real gold, manipulations can abound.
  4. Governments are very good at stealing gold from a populace. The US government did precisely that in 1933, and there’s no reason to think they wouldn’t try again when they want. Taking money is what governments do.

The Big Reason

All the reasons above are significant, of course, but there remains a vast amount of gold and silver in private hands. And this could present a serious problem to the banking monopolies, except for one thing: Continue reading

Economist John Williams: Financial Collapse if Russia Sells U.S. Dollar Holdings

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LSHdkaCLOA

From YouTube:

John Williams of Shadowstats.com says, “Don’t look for the U.S. dollar as the safe haven.” Williams contends, “Historically, the dollar has been the safe haven in a political or financial crisis, but that hasn’t been the case for four or five years now. Instead, what you have seen is a flight to other traditional safe havens such as gold and the Swiss Franc. The dollar has lost its magic. Nobody wants to hold it.” What about the Russians dumping the dollar in retaliation for U.S. sanctions because of the Ukraine invasion? Williams says, “So, if the Russians follow through and convince the rest of the world that they are going to do it and it looks like China may join them, a lot of countries will want to dump dollars and get out ahead of the crowd.”

On the overall economy, Williams says, “It is rolling over, and the numbers are starting to show we are starting into a new recession. Join Greg Hunter as he goes One-on-One with John Williams of Shadowstats.com.

White House announces new O-Care delay

The White House on Wednesday announced a new ObamaCare delay that will allow some consumers to keep health plans that do not meet the law’s standards until past the end of the Obama presidency.

The unprecedented move, first reported by The Hill on Monday, will protect vulnerable Democrats in the midterm elections by staving off a wave of cancellation notices that would have hit patients in the final weeks of the campaign.

The policy also means that one of the key features of the Affordable Care Act — minimum healthcare benefit requirements — will not be in place for all Americans when President Obama leaves office.

Senior administration officials insisted that the change will not substantially alter the Affordable Care Act and emphasized that their focus was on flexibility for individuals.

“Given how complex the law is and how many different circumstances people face, we want to show that we don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach,” one official told reporters on a conference call.

Pentagon: North Korea develops unmanned strike aircraft from stolen U.S. target drone

Raytheon MQM-107 Streaker target drone

by Bill Gertz

North Korea has deployed an indigenous unmanned aerial vehicle capable of attacking ground targets based on stolen U.S. target drones, the Pentagon revealed in a report to Congress.

Images of the North Korean drone in flight were shown as part of a March 2013 military drill, the Pentagon report said.

“The drone appeared to be a North Korean copy of a Raytheon MQM-107 Streaker target drone,” the report said. “North Korean press coverage of the event described the UAV as being capable of precision strikes by crashing into the target.”

The report, “Military and Security Developments Involving the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea,” is required under 2012 legislation and was made public on Wednesday.

James O’Keefe Ambushes Republican Congressman over Racist Bill

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOqUV89A0C0

From YouTube:

At a recent town hall of constituents in Rubicon, Wisconsin, Republican Rep. Sensenbrenner denied the fact that the voting rights legislation he is sponsoring is racist because it excludes white voters from the protection of the Voting Rights Act.  When clearly asked if the Act excludes protections for white voters, Sensenbrenner responds, “It does not do that.”

Sensenbrenner also hired the ACLU to help write and lobby for this bill, so it shouldn’t surprise you that this bill would, according to a legal expert, “plainly give the DOJ renewed power to block any election integrity law in any covered jurisdiction, period.  This includes voter ID and requirements registrants prove they are citizens.”
