Concerning the Drought in California

Jeremiah 25:34-38

Weep and wail, you shepherds; roll in the dust, you leaders of the flock. For your time to be slaughtered has come; you will fall like the best of the rams.

The shepherds will have nowhere to flee, the leaders of the flock no place to escape. Hear the cry of the shepherds, the wailing of the leaders of the flock, for the Lord is destroying their pasture.

The peaceful meadows will be laid waste because of the fierce anger of the Lord.

Like a lion he will leave his lair, and their land will become desolate because of the sword of the oppressor and because of the Lord’s fierce anger.

15 Reasons Why Your Food Bill Is Going To Start SOARING

U.S. Drought Monitor California February 11 2014

By Michael Snyder

Did you know that the U.S. state that produces the most vegetables is going through the worst drought it has ever experienced and that the size of the total U.S. cattle herd is now the smallest that it has been since 1951?  Just the other day, a CBS News article boldly declared that “food prices soar as incomes stand still“, but the truth is that this is only just the beginning.  If the drought that has been devastating farmers and ranchers out west continues, we are going to see prices for meat, fruits and vegetables soar into the stratosphere.  Already, the federal government has declared portions of 11 states to be “disaster areas”, and California farmers are going to leave half a million acres sitting idle this year because of the extremely dry conditions.  Sadly, experts are telling us that things are probably going to get worse before they get better (if they ever do).  As you will read about below, one expert recently told National Geographic that throughout history it has been quite common for that region of North America to experience severe droughts that last for decades.  In fact, one drought actually lasted for about 200 years.  So there is the possibility that the drought that has begun in the state of California may not end during your entire lifetime.

This drought has gotten so bad that it is starting to get national attention.  Barack Obama visited the Fresno region on Friday, and he declared that “this is going to be a very challenging situation this year, and frankly, the trend lines are such where it’s going to be a challenging situation for some time to come.”

According to NBC News, businesses across the region are shutting down, large numbers of workers are leaving to search for other work, and things are already so bad that it “calls to mind the Dust Bowl of the 1930s“…

In the state’s Central Valley — where nearly 40 percent of all jobs are tied to agriculture production and related processing — the pain has already trickled down. Businesses across a wide swath of the region have shuttered, casting countless workers adrift in a downturn that calls to mind the Dust Bowl of the 1930s.

If you will recall, there have been warnings that Dust Bowl conditions were going to return to the western half of the country for quite some time.

Now the mainstream media is finally starting to catch up.

And of course these extremely dry conditions are going to severely affect food prices.  The following are 15 reasons why your food bill is going to start soaring…

#1 2013 was the driest year on record for the state of California, and 2014 has been exceptionally dry so far as well.

#2 According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, 91.6 percent of the entire state of California is experiencing “severe to exceptional drought” even as you read this article.

#3 According to CNBC, it is being projected that California farmers are going to let half a million acres of farmland sit idle this year because of the crippling drought.

The U.S. army has constructed an elaborate fake city designed for terrorism combat training, noted the Telegraph, spanning 300 acres and including a five-story embassy, a bank, a school, an underground subway and train station, a mosque, a football stadium, and a helicopter landing zone.

Located in Fort A.P. Hill, Va., according to the Fredricksburg Free Lance-Star, which is just under an hour north of Richmond, the facility includes bridges and other other structures that can be adapted for specific purposes and scenarios.

They should have saved the money and just used Detroit (or Philadelphia or Los Angeles or…).  But then why would the government try to save money? Especially when it comes to protecting the government “of the people, by the people and for the people” from the people.

The Tea Party’s Death Grip

The information below is filled with journalistic malfeasance. Mr. Williams tips his hand early with hyperbole: “the Tea Party’s death grip”.  Since when is supporting the Constitution and natural law a death grip? As for the political future of the Republican Party, I am more concerned about the future of our Liberty.

Instead of supporting the rule of law and fiscal restraint, Mr. Williams continues to spread the government’s propaganda that the debt ceiling was raised. It was suspended for over a year.

His solutions to our bankruptcy is threefold:

1. Extend unemployment benefits from their current length of just under two years in most states (sloth).

2. Raise the minimum wage (additional tax revenue will be collected).

3. Reform immigration (to buy votes using the fruits of our labor).

I am not concerned about the value of the dollar or solving an insolvable fiscal crisis brought about by our “leaders” in both parties. Has anyone ever heard one politician state his plan to eliminate our debt? The only solution is the complete devaluation of the dollar and they understand this truth.

I know that the Tea Party label has become synonymous with every evil afflicting the nation in order to marginalize their efforts. My actions are to support the Word of God , the rule of law (currently the Constitution) and the restoration of Liberty. In other words, I am a patriot who has a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence and I pledge to my life, my fortune, and my sacred Honor to restore Liberty.

Republican leaders must keep Tea Party on the run

By Juan Williams

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnel (R-Ky.) are now in position to end the Tea Party’s death grip on the Republican Party’s political future.

Last week, Boehner and McConnell faced down the Tea Party’s threat to cripple the government when they supported raising the nation’s debt ceiling. That move prevented GOP political suicide.

If the nation’s credit rating, stocks and the recovery went down the sewer because of Republicans’ refusal to raise the debt ceiling, the GOP’s chances in the midterm elections would have been severely damaged.

Having successfully defied the Tea Party on the debt ceiling, now it is time for Boehner and McConnell to use that momentum to pass three bills: An extension of unemployment benefits for people suffering long-term joblessness; a minimum wage hike; and, most important of all, immigration reform.

The Tea Party caucus in the House and the Tea Party star in the Senate – Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) — are never going to love Boehner or McConnell. Both Congressional leaders have tried for years to accommodate Tea Party passions but they can never do enough.

Half-Prepping Equals NO Prepping: Lessons From The Icepocalypse

As a survivor of the Icepocalypse that recently gripped much of the South in crippling power outages and freezing temperatures, at least three lessons can be deduced from the experience.

  1. A very small minority of people are equipped to deal with an emergency in a competent fashion.
  2. A slightly larger number of people attempt to be prepared but fall short if the emergency persists.
  3. The vast majority of people are wholly unprepared for even a slight disturbance in their usual routine or living conditions.

While this statement may come as basic common sense to the majority of my usual readers, such observations do bear repeating. Indeed, it is important to remind ourselves of just how unprepared we may be, even though we may be more prepared than most of the rest of the population.

Many of those who are aware of the possibility of an economic collapse, general war, electrical grid failure, or simple natural disasters are aware through available literature of how human behavior will adjust to the new circumstances if a crisis takes place. Although much of what “preppers” are confronted with in terms of information often borders on the state of panic and fear, it is true that what is at first a tranquil community of friends and neighbors can very quickly turn into a violent mob and dangerous enemies fighting over finite resources.

Obama’s Terrorists Are America’s Freedom Fighters

christian mercenary

by T.L. Davis

The point at which America ceased to be the United States of America as designed by the Constitution is debatable. Some say it was the case of Marbury v. Madison where the Supreme Court decided it was the sole arbiter on constitutionality, making it, in effect, law-givers. Some say it was during the Civil War, the War Between the States or the War of Northern Aggression, whichever you prefer. Some say it was the Progressive Era beginning in earnest during the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt.  Regardless of the point at which the revolution took place, it did take place.

This is not a Constitutional republic, otherwise the words in the Constitution would mean something; they would have weight of conscious by those who have sworn an oath to defend it. Without fidelity to the oath, there is no legal representation even if the individual receives enough votes to occupy the office, they are still duty-bound. The vote indicates the expectation that the representative of the people (being representative, senator or president) will defend the Constitution as the oath demands. To go forward as the people’s representative without the determination to uphold the Constitution is a fraud. It is a fraud committed by all federal employees who actively violate the Constitution. To even participate in the legislature with the knowledge of others willfully engaging in unconstitutional acts is treason.
